I did use the forge version with Balkon's Weapon mod, and they did work together.
Also, without a log of any kind, we cannot help you. If you installed forge there should be a couple of txt files in your minecraft folder.
Please make sure that if you are using forge, that you downloaded the Forge version on the first post called "Forge compatability patch."

The forge version now support SMP. If you need a server version, get the Forge version as Modloader only works on client stuff and ModLoaderMP is not up to date.

Oh I see now. I recently added a configuration option that allows all the biomes to go into the Default World Type. So assuming that mod also puts it into the Default worldtype you should get all the biomes. I'll go test another biome mod real quick and get back to you.
EDIT: Running it with ExtraBiomesXL and Highlands did work. So I guess your other biome mod should work as well.

Pardon me, but you just say you can run BoP with your patch and EXBxL at the same time??????

I think EBXL and Highlands are using biome IDs that are used by this mod though, I read the configs and found out the following:
EBXL uses 236-255 and 51-59
Highlands uses 23-50
This mod uses 23-100
Unless Forge solves the biome ID conflicts by itself which would save a lot of time
I love playing with this mod. I wish there were saplings to make all of the trees so I don't have to worry about chopping all of the cherry trees and ruining the Awesome beautiful Forests...
Plus mo creatures works with this mod but doesn't spawn in the biomes xD
Description: WARNING: Old worlds from v1.03 and below will be corrupted by the new version.
Please download and replace your config file with the one in the download.
This version of Biomes O Plenty is a fan attempt to get the mod working under forge. Since this version is truly just 80% code of the original author, all permissions are to be dealt with by TDWP_FTW.
Also I tend to make lots of updates to this version for compatibility with other mods, so please check here from time to time.
Installation Instructions:
Install Minecraftforge into minecraft.jar
Place Forge Version in /mods folder.
Configuration:
By changing addToDefault to true, all of the biomes will be added to the Default world.
You can also configure All of the Block ID's and Item ID's. Don't set the Block ID's higher than 255.
And just in case you happen to use other biome mods. We have a config section for biomeID's as well.
Bugs:
Some WorldTypes may not have the correct biomes.
Some biomes may not generate correctly, I haven't seen any issues.
Changelog:
v1.04
Made BiomeID's dynamic, tries to pull them off the end of the list.
WARNING, new world will most likely be corrupted, please download the compatibility config.
If you know an ID conflicts, you can also change that!
I'm a noob when it comes to all of the Item and Block IDs
Doesn'T Forge automatically change ID's so all the mods running under it work? Or did I misunderstand that? I use quite a lot of Mods that add new blocks and items and stuff - so if I used the Forge Version of this (and discarded EBXL) - Would I have issues with the ID's of other mods?
It depends on the mods you use. Some modders made their mods automatically look for free block and item ID's and the with the other ones you will have to edit the config files (if available) yourself to solve conflicts.
I'm not sure if the Forge version of this mod does it automatically too.
Just so you know, this mod is incompatible with another mod called Emeralds+ by Dustpelt. If you need a crash report, here you go: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1498365/
Both mods use sv.class and uq.class, and installing them in different orders doesn't help.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack

That would be because both mods add armor. And adding armor means they both add different clasifications of armor strength to the base mods.

Does the mod Run with Balkons weapons and optifine?
I get a Blackscreen every time!

Also, preview of a new biome which is going to replace the Canyon:
Bamboo Forests!
Also, that bamboo forest looks beautiful
I think EBXL and Highlands are using biome IDs that are used by this mod though, I read the configs and found out the following:

Highlands uses 23-50
This mod uses 23-100

and i love the forge patch because i can now gpo exploring with backpacks and make 50,00o m long tunnels in survival more easily
The bamboo forest looks cool, but I wish you wouldn't replace canyons. They're one of my favorites.
Plus mo creatures works with this mod but doesn't spawn in the biomes xD
All the short grass has what looks like a pink slab on the bottom of it.
I only saw EBXL using 32-59.
The Forge mod uses 190-255, or 23-100 if you are using the compatibility config.
It depends on the mods you use. Some modders made their mods automatically look for free block and item ID's and the with the other ones you will have to edit the config files (if available) yourself to solve conflicts.
I'm not sure if the Forge version of this mod does it automatically too.
I also just did a test where i manually went into each config file for EXBL and Highlands and made them not conflict.
