Hey.. I got a bit of problem... I did everything in the installation instructions exactly...
I used This universal forge Build 7.7.1.662: 2013-04-19 22:14:49 for MC: 1.5.1
when i start the game, the forge loads and says i got 4 mods loaded and active and in the mods submenu there is this biomes mod as well... Gameplay is normal, but there simply are no new biomes... i tried 3 newly generated worlds and covered areas of at least -2k/-2k to 2k/2k and nothing... anybody help?
change your 'more world options setting' off of default and to Biomes o' Plenty
could you maybe rephrase that, cause i didnt get what were you trying to say
when you create a new world go to 'more world options' in there you will see on the right 'world type' change this setting to 'biomes o' plenty' then create your world.
I'm having an issue with acacia tree saplings turning into infinite water sources, and replanted bamboo stalks seem to turn into stone...Anyone else having this issue/know of a fix?
I found a dokucraft style compatibility pack for this mod, however it was for 1.4.7 with the texture sheet...so I went ahead and seperated and named the blocks out...but I'm having an issue. I can't seem to pack the textures up and make it work for my texture pack. I'm not sure if I have the folder structure or naming conventions wrong....is there anything anyone can do to help me out here?
Heres the mediafire link of my progress....If anyone can shed some light on what I did wrong that'd be great...also, I take 0 credit for the textures inside, all i did was seperate them from a sheet and name them. http://www.mediafire...x9wqf9cpqe37ptm

Textures are now located in mods/BiomesOPlenty/textures/<items/blocks/whatever>
I get a problem where if I plant a sapling and wait for it to grow, it becomes a water block.
This doesn't happen in single-player. Only on my server does this.
Using bone meal works fine for both.
Edit: I tried it again on single-player, and it happens too. :C
Acacia, Dark, Apple, and Dying saplings turn into water sources if grown without bonemeals.
and bamboo turns into stone.

Are you (and anyone having that problem) using the latest version of BOP (0.5.1)?
Anyway, it should be fixed for sure with the next release, right now I'm checking if it works.
Okay, so I tried to use the folder structure you told me to...but it's still not working. I put the mods folder in the main repository of my texturepack and still nothing. Heres a pic of the folder structure I set up..and of course the individual tiles are in their right folder. So essentially the path I have is: Dokucraft.zip/mods/BiomesOplenty/textures/<armor>,<blocks>,<items>,<mobs>.
I'm really sorry to be a pain, normally I can figure this stuff out but after a good two hours of it not working i turned here. Thank you for your help thus far.

Is there a way to prevent ocean biomes from generating? I keep getting huge oceans while trying to generate specific biomes in a 2000x2000 chunk of land.
Sorry I'm asking this one again as I never got a response the last time... Love the mod, been using it since before it was Forge compatible...
Seems when I updated from 0.4.9 to 0.5.1 and moved over my saved world, I lost all mobs (vanilla, Mo Creatures, whatever). I can spawn them in Mo' Creatures, but nothing is there in my saved games. If I create a new world, it's fine. I would really hate to abandon the saved world as like most, I have a TON of stuff in it that I created.... hours of work. Please help...
This mod looks awesome, I don't suppose you've considered maintaining a cut down version using modloader for those of us who don't use forge? Like, just the biomes, without all the other stuff that isn't related to biomes.

Yes I am having the same issue using the latest version of BoP and Forge. Also using REI, MoCreatures, and Dynmap (http://69.175.5.208:8765) doubt those are affecting it though. Maybe MoCreatures or any mod changing certain block ids might be the source of the bug

I know this isn't what you want to hear but it is a solution. Get MCedit and cut your sections out of the world that you want and paste them into a brand new seeded world with BoP and MoCreatures etc. installed. Honestly that would be a backup plan though it should work. Sounds as if you might have another issue. I just remember using MCedit to move my world into a new seed when I made the switch to BoP
I've made a cinematic showcase for this, showing off all of the different kinds of biome Took a very long time to do so hopefully people will like it :s
I have to say, the colours of the trees, grass and water in the fungi forest is just amazing O_o Definitely my favourite biome!

ok, I'll try this... hopefully there's a tutorial on it... I have all sorts of subway lines set up, houses... etc... hate to loose it all.
Also, I hadn't realized this mod added the world option, haha. I was wondering why no new biomes weren't generating on the new world.
EDIT: You cannot run this with Flan's mod. BoP and Flan's mod both occupy block 4095, and I am not entirely sure how to fix that yet.
Check out my youtube channel, we make cool stuff!
I also have a flickr account where I post my origami creations, if you into that type of thing.

Excited for "When it's done" to come.
Hands down, the best texture pack.

Is that an uncapitalized 'p' i see there?

Absolutely brilliant, thanks for that
