Biomes
Blocks
Food
Realism
Magic
That's kinda sucky. I have this nice world that I can't make nicer. And I'm pretty sure I can't MCEdit my stuff into a new world because it would look ugly if i did, and I don't think MCEdit supports Forge blocks.
I'm thinking of using most of the trees from it for the biomes. There are a ton of different custom trees, and they just look amazing. The only downside to this is that leaves won't decay, as it has to use the metadata value that makes it not decay. Otherwise they'd end up looking really crappy.
But, I think it's worth it to having amazing forests. Also, I'm not sure whether I want to include them in the next update or not. It'd probably push it back a bit (For when I release it, that is), but I'd rather do it with the new biomes coming and whatnot, so people don't have to create new worlds yet again. What do you guys think?
I vote do it. I, for one, am too busy playing around in the ashes of these active volcanoes to care how long it takes to come out.
I'll look into re-adding a separate world type for the biomes in the mod. My main focus now is getting these custom trees in the mod.
-----------------------------
Here's what the Coniferous Forest looks like with all 3 Douglas Fir trees:
It turned much, much nicer than I thought it would.
The lone leaves (not attached to anything except on a diagonal) and the fact that the leaves won't decay is also not preferable.
If I were you right now I'd be focusing on polishing things like the different sizes of tall grass (or removing it altogether) and more mod support.
Either way though I'm loving your biomes and I'm excited to see what's next.
As for the different sized grass, I'm assuming you mean fixing it so you can place blocks in them without breaking it first? I'm not sure that it's possible without editing whatever base class handles that. I'm definitely not removing them though, as it looks a lot nicer with grass at different heights than just one tall grass.
I also need to change how they render, to give them the random offset that vanilla tall grass has. Although I'm not sure how to do custom block rendering with Forge.
As for mod support, there's not really much I can do, or really want to do for that matter. Stuff like Mo' Creatures and other things that don't spawn in my biomes is something the creators of those mods have to do themselves. My mod might not have some fancy API like ExtraBiomes XL to make things easier, but it's still possible without it.
He said NO UNDERGROUND BIOM
I'm not going to be adding any underground content. There are already two great mods that focus on underground content: Undeground Biomes and WildCaves 3.

Also, here's a preview of the new Redwood Forest:
I am seriously just loving these custom trees. It's really going to change the atmosphere of the mod a lot.
Surprisingly, they really don't cause much lag. I'm on an extremely crappy PC that can barely run Minecraft at 30 FPS, but I can still walk through the forests with the new trees at "playable" speeds. Although I'm going to be ordering a new PC in 2 weeks...:P
Can BoP and ExtraBiomes both draw from the same block in respect of their red stone? I'm not sure if its possible, but would be a fun way to save on block IDs
And is there any way to see who's in the lead in regards to the votes? I'm keeping out of voting because, well, I've got biased in the whole thing
I guess I'll either add both to the mod, or do a tie breaker.
Why don't you put it on a different website and allow us to re-vote?
I go by AquaBuzzardHR on my YouTube Channel. Link here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyrxj072mhHlrhiv6RoZcWw
It is a channel about building and being creative, currently playing on the Lake Laogai SMP.
Well, it was on Google Docs originally, but that didn't work well, as people could just vote as many times as they wanted. I think I'll just do a tie breaker though. It's too late into the voting to redo it again, as some people might not know they have to vote again, and it'd be a lot easier to just do a tie break.
The whole contest was pretty much a failure honestly. I felt bad for not including suggestions I didn't like, or weren't really possible to do, and it was just a mess all together. I didn't think the contest would get as much reception as it did, but it actually brought in a lot of traffic.
I have my fingers crossed for the Jade Forest, personally.
