Anyone else got this problem? Whenever I place the BoP wood logs on a side, the center portion always appears on top. The same thing occurs on naturally generated BoP trees that have branches. The sides of the log appear okay, but the centers do not appear aligned right.
Hi, I love the mod, it's clearly the mod that defines the look of Minecraft. I do have two problems though. 1 problem is with Flan's Mod. Here is the Block ID issue...
How can I change the ID's so there is no conflict?
Also.. the other is that when I copy over my saved game from an earlier BOP version, (I think 4.9) I loose the vanilla Mob, and of course any other mod's Mobs (Mo' Creatures, etc.)... but generating a new world it works fine. So right now, the world that I have been working on for weeks is totally barren of all life-forms other than mine. No guns from Flans.. and no mobs...
Every time I open minecraft with BOP a resource file gets thrown to my desktop. Is this normal? and happen to anyone else? It looks like a streaming sound file of some sort. Should this be happening? Thanks. Everything still works fine and it truly is my favorite world gen mod.

I have heard of this happening, but last time i asked the person for more information they wouldn't provide it. What OS are you on and are you using a custom launcher and if so, which?
using windows 7 and no launcher just regular minecraft.exe. Sometimes I launch threw my batch file for more memory but It does the same thing with either.

And fixed for the next release In the meantime, you'll just have to ignore it i'm afraid, not much else i can do. You should be able to remove them from your desktop with the next release though, since they won't be recreated then.

Does this mod re-seed the rng?
With ExtraBiomesXL - if/when I change the mods im using my biomes all change. A biome generator that was 'stable' across mod changes would be nice.
Hey guys, I'm in the process of building a new modpack for my friends and I in mc 1.5.1. We have our current world with vanilla terrain generation, and have Mystcraft coming in this next update I'm working on. I was wondering if there were any plans to add compatibility with Mystcraft by adding new biome pages.
Crash when just running around generating chunks (Survival mode, with cheated in IC2 jetpack)

I've been using this great mod in a hardcore world but wondered if there was any way of getting back from the Promise Land apart from dying as that would be a bit of a pain in a Hardcore world! Fortunately this is only a test hardcore world :-)

I simply LOVE IT! Amazing mod. Really should get know better especially the mud amor made me laugh but in a good way looks cool and adds way mroe stuff into it. Mostly for calm minecraft players. By the way I love the music! May I have a download to it? Again as i said before GREAT WORK!
There is a severe world-generation issue in Biomes o Plenty 0.5.1 for Minecraft 1.5.1
Biomes generate normally using the "Biomes o Plenty" generator, up until X and Z ~6000.
Then it's nothing but oceans as far as Minecraft will generate.
Can you do an ocean override and generate your own ocean?
This happened to me, I just went creative and made a new world (default but with BoP turned on.) I saw BoP biomes, Extrabiomes biomes, though none from Forgotten nature (the trees spawned on beaches though..) At something like 3,000 it became nothing but ocean.
Any reason why the FN biomes wouldn't generate, why its trees wouldn't spawn in BoP biomes, and why the ocean is forever? Sorry if these are popular issues with an easy fix I missed, but I looked around and didn't see anything except this post.
Is this a bug with quicksand, or is it intentional that it's impossible to get out of it vertically in survival mode? You can move horizontally, should you somehow find above-ground quicksand, but if it's in a hole, you can kiss your Steve goodbye. Shouldn't you at least be able to get out of it by jumping repeatedly? It's like cobweb that makes you suffocate. As it is now, it's more dangerous than lava because it's impossible to get out of. Also, if you run into a block of it when it's sitting above-ground, you can't get into it or pass through it. You can get into it by jumping on top of it, but otherwise it just slows you down and you can't pass into the quicksand block.
Edit: I'd think it should be like water that slows you down, since water actually gives you a breath-gauge and allows you to escape from it.
Are you talking about pre-existing worlds? That shouldn't happen unless your mod changes are involving Biome ID changes/conflicts.
I had the problem with extraBiomesXL not BOP. After installing CARuins my autum forest biome that I built my base in is now covered in snow and thinks its glacier.
With the upcoming BoP integration in your BWG4 mod, will any of the new blocks and biomes added by this mod make an appearance in the gold worldtype?Edit: I asked a similar question in the Semi-Realistic World Generation thread:
