You should keep contiunuing. The only thing stopping it from being up there with extra biomes is forge support.

It's not going to end completely. ScottKillen and I were talking about him possibly adding my biomes to ExtraBiomes XL. And if that doesn't see the light of day for whatever reason, I have a friend who is interested in continuing the mod.
Oh wow. I just read about this in PC Gamer and thought it would be a good time to start up minecraft again. Guess not (I hate trying to keep up with mods, but I'm addicted to modding. lol)! Totally understand the reasoning.
I'm so sad this isn't continuing. I am making a biome mod myself, and this was one of the best looking biome mods out there, and it was a great inspiration. It's a shame people couldn't be flexible with the demands for Forge support, but I understand the decision to discontinue the mod.

Therewas no problem. I was just asking for seeds. Any ways, I'm running the mod and I used Skydaz installer. Infact, I use skydaz installers for nearly every single mod. Tree capitator and optifine are generally the only mods I manually install.
Someone HAS to continue this mod! This mod is SOOOOO much better than ExtraBiomesXL. The biomes this mod adds are alot nicer than the added biomes in ExtraBiomesXL. I'd love to help continuing this mod but I'm not experianced enough with Minecraft modding yet.

This is an outstanding Mod. I just spent the past 2 hours just walking around a new world and exploring the different Biomes you created. It's truly a work of art.
Your coding is really smooth and looks like it's meant to be a part of the original base of Minecraft, whereas the other Biome mods look fake and out of place.
The only argument there can be for making this Forge compatible is to run this side-by-side with Dr.Zharks Mo'Creatures mod. I can only imagine how much atmosphere the two mods combined would create.
Anyone got a good seed for a nearby Origin Valley? I can't find one anywhere. In fact, I have an entire save on my Minecraft devoted to finding the freaking thing!
Oh so beautiful! Like extrabiomesRPG back from the dead but better! And many of the biomes make a lot more sense than extrabiomesXL (but did you steal the mod?)
Provided this is compatible with ic2, mo creatures, and forge, It's a keeper!
Don't stop updating! Mojang says the API comes out with 1.5! Your updates will be easier and maybe unnecessary after January 2013 (provided the world doesn't end on 12-21-12, which it WOUN'T)

What's he got to prove to anyone? He's made clear his reasons for not making it Forge compatible in the first place, and his reasons for discontinuing his work on the mod.

I have problems running Biomes O' Plenty with Magic Launcher.
Is there any chance to run it with the Magic Launcher, so I can use Optifine at the same time?

Works just fine for me. Make sure you actually have the correct versions of Minecraft, Risugami's ModLoader, Biomes O' Plenty, and Optifine. Refer to the Magic Launcher thread for the correct order they should all be put in.

Magic launcher uses forgemodloader which is never going to be compatible with this mod
Magic Launcher does NOT use ForgeModLoader. Note my previous response. I use Magic Launcher to use both this mod and Better Than Wolves, both of which require Risugami's ModLoader and are incompatible with Forge. Magic Launcher requires you to load up whatever mod loader of you need to install for use with whatever other mods you want that require it.

And he is obligated to do this why? Why does he need to prove anything to anyone, least of all you? You only stumbled upon this yesterday and don't understand anything about what led up to this. He made this mod purely for his own enjoyment, and was kind enough to share it with others who might also enjoy it. Nobody was paying him to work on it, and he is obligated to absolutely no-one but himself to do with it as he wishes. If he's not having fun with it, then there is absolutely no reason for him to continue working on it, especially if he isn't going to be playing Minecraft anymore. He doesn't owe anyone anything. He's done with it, and true supporters of his work would respect that decision rather than complain about it.
In addition, check some of his more recent posts. There is the possibility that it will either be continued by a friend of his, or integrated into ExtrabiomesXL.
