I was thinking that the collision for the tent would more or less be around a main cavity. At the front of the tent there should be a flap that you can right click to open, and then go through.
EDIT:
On second thought, perhaps it would be easier simply code block destruction by mobs.
will the player be doing the crafting
or will it automated at the terran base?
Players, of course. Crafting table will have to do for now, but those consoles in the drop-pod are tile-entity enabled for when I turn them into production GUI's.
wait, let me get this right:
Basicly we are going to mine minerals, spend those materials on things, and then those things will crash to the ground in drop pods?

In a fashion, yes. But first you have to research the technology using biomass. Besides which, you only get components from the consoles instead of finished items. So for example, if you bought an incinerator jet, marine armour, a turret base, and a gauss rifle, you could combine them in different combinations to make firebat armour, perdition turrets, or autoturrets.
All you would have to do with the creep is copy the code for soul sand, and set it to a negative variable rather than a positive if zerg = true. That would thereby give zerg a speed bonus.

I know this had been asked before... can you make it Forge? It is a more diverse easy to use mod loader. modloader crashes for me and I would love this mod on my laptop.

That would require a re-dev, I believe, unless you can point me to a smoother mode of conversion. As it is, I have difficulty finding time to work on this what with class back in session.
Hey, is there anything we can do to help this mod along?
Unfortunately, I have to focus on my education. However, I do have enough of a structure developed that I can release templates here, so that everyone can fill them out and contribute zerg creatures and blocks towards the project shoudl they so choose. It would certainly be helpful, and definitely fill out the world a bit more.
First things first, this mod looks AWESOME! I also really like that you'll get to play as each of the different species. However, i have two ideas for extra species: Steve's and Hybrids.
When playing as a Steve, you'll start like in a normal minecraft game. However, you will probably quickly meet some NPC's of the other races, who will start fighting each other, but remain neutral to you. The exception is the Zerg, who will, if you get closer than ~8 blocks, will try to capture you and take you to their Queen. There you might be lucky and talk you free, or get unlucky and get mutated to a steve/zerg hybrid. As a Steve you can also trade with Protoss and Terrans, and maybe even DNA samples with the zerg? Playing as Steve will also preserve the crafting of stuff, and the mining aspects of the game.
When playing as a hybrid, however, you will be able to choose between two sorts: The "Reaver" and the "Destroyer".
The Reaver is 10 blocks tall, dark, has many tentacles and big claws, like this one:
You would then choose different body parts/attacks with the mouse scroll feature of the hotbar. For example, the first slot could be "impale with tentacle" and have a range of 15 blocks. Second slot could then be "pick up with tentacle", wich would be able to pick up a NPC/mob, and just hold it until an action for it is chosen. I think 4 should be the max number of picked up entities at a time, as there are 6 tentacles. Another attack could be to rip apart one of the picked up mobs with the claws (animated as hitting), and yet another could be to simply eat/absorb a picked up mob. Also, picked up mobs would be totally stunned, and you could heavily damage mobs just by stepping on them.
EDIT: Picked up mobs/NPCs can also be placed safely on the ground again.
EDIT2: Forgot that there should also be the "normal" hit attack, but because the arms are short you would have to crouch to use it properly
The Destroyer is grey-ish, 6-8 blocks tall, has less tentacles, and hovers:
It's attacks range more in the psionics of the starcraft universe, possibly includin the ability to lift mobs up from the ground, leaving them suspended in midair, harmlessly sinking them to the ground, fatally dropping them to the ground, "void blast" (ball'o energy), and various other stuff. Destroyers would possibly also have the ability to hover higher/lower (and would never take fall damage), and would of course also have a few physical attacks.
When playing as a hybrid, everyone would be extremely hostile to you from the beginning. However, if you don't fight back but just take a beating, the Terrans/Protoss/Zerg will eventually stop shooting/hitting you. If you still don't fight, they might start going closer to you. They will eventually lose interest and go back to their respective bases/start fighting each other if more than one species is around you. If you follow them back to their base, but still don't attack them, they might stop being hostile towards you at all, and at this point you can, for example, start trading with them, making your relationship even better.
A really good way to build a relationship could be to grap a falling NPC(Terran/Protoss/Zerg) and lower them to the ground unharmed.
Of course, you could also just attack them and try to eradicate them, as you would have a crapton of damage and health.
So these were just my two cents, PM me if you want further explanation. I might also be able to help texturing, if you need a texture artist. I am not the best textartist, but i have made some... satisfying textures.
EDIT2PART2: I imagine a somewhat millenaire-like system, but the species would fight each other, there would only be men, and reinforcements would arive in drop-pods
EDIT3: I see that this could be porking hard to code, but it would nonetheless be awesome.
Oh my Doctor, I have nowhere near enough coding chops to handle anything on a millenaire scale. But yes, that sounds very cool, should I be able to achieve it.
EDIT:

Leadership Organizer, Original Leader, and Occasional Diplomatof P.A.E.C.TIt would just be crafting, simple assembly, clicking together parts.
No movement bonuses, yet. Queens are unnecessary.
