Time period? Not really. The general way I format dates for the mod is something like 5e24, which means 5th era, 24th day. There's nothing saying that you have to though, if you're writing a story.
Huh. I cant seem to edit the entity ids in the config file. I change them and save but then the mod seems to change them back whenever i start up the client. Same thing with running the mod on a server. Not sure why it would do this, but Its causing crashes due to entity id conflicts with other mods that I dont have the ability to define entity ids for either.

I'm sorry if I'm getting annoying, but please... Is Electrocute's high mana cost intended or is it a bug? If not, then what's that spell's role supposed to be?
I'm just taking a guess here but the high mana cost may be because electrocute is an AOE spell, damaging all mobs within the spell's range. Whether you damage one mob or 20 mobs the mana cost is the same.
I actually use it quite a bit....comes in handy when you have 60 or so mobs stacked up in a grinder.
Is anyone else having problems with combining beam spells and bound spells? The crystal is usually reluctant to even take one from me, and when it does, the desired effect is far from achieved. I tried doing the same as the spells in the teaser (bound sword+blink). That just gave me a blink spell that didn't work, it would not summon a sword no matter how hard I tried and wouldn't teleport me either. I put the spells in different orders, I tried every combination of diminished/normal/augmented casting, nothing. I also tried to make the digging beam spell that was showcased, the crystal didn't even want to take my arcane beam, I just sat there shooting it at it like an idiot. One time it ended up taking the spell somehow, however it just gave me a white beam that was not only very weak, but did not dig at all. I feel like this is a problem on my end, I'm not getting any errors in my log, server or singleplayer. I'm using both the most recent Ars Magica and MCore. Is something broken or is it just me? Could it be my version of forge maybe? I'm running version 6.6.1.524. Perhaps it's my Optifine?
I'm having a bug with making Essence Cores. I made a Base Essence Core, then I proceeded to make a high essence core. After I made a high essence core I shift+clicked it out of the essence refiner and it stacked with and became a Base Essence Core. It was clearly the high essence core in the refiner before I used shift click (I double checked by going through the process again and reproducing the bug).
I was using beta 5.36.040 when this happened, so I'm not sure if this was fixed in the newest release (I didn't see it in the changelog).
@Mithion: Have you ever think to add a kind of tool that let you see the remaining essence of your friends? it could work in a 15 block range. And a spell suggestion:
Walking Cloud: When you cast it, it will allow you to walk over the surface at a certain height limit, and will last as long you have essence or you cast it again. The limits can be: Less - Y=75 / Normal - Y=90 / Augmented - Y=120. Air affinity.
Tower guardians will with against anything that can't shoot magic. I believe that is the only way they are able to be damaged, plus they do regenerate health.
That is a known bug. Ars Magica still plays fine even though it says that.

I personally like Breath of the Open Sky. I have yet to find Gravity Well, but that will compliment it very nicely.
