I like this mod. Ever since I started playing minecraft I thought to myself "IT NEEDS SEASONS". Although autumn still is not colored due the incompatibilities with the ether mod...it's survivable I guess.
I understand!:D but is there a way that you could release a version without any items then a version with the items? It would greatly help I'm trying to start a survival series with mods that make minecraft more realistic, so I've been waiting for your mod to update and i hope it happens soon good luck with the mod and converting it BYE!!!!

Relevant to this - which/to what value do I change options in seasons.dat to make it snow on leaves or on all blocks? Right now it doesn't snow on my stone brick courtyards or gravel paths.
Also, is it an option to make you get hurt if you go out in the snow no matter which biome but still making the snow there melt in spring? I tried adding more biomes to cold_biomes but it stopped them melting too.

i dont have the program it recommend/uses and won't be able to install due to my internet being extremely slow and cuts out for 3 seconds every 15 mins which stops downloads

I'll be trying this out with 1.5.1 in the meantime. I was on 1.4.7 rec when the error was occurring, isolated it to snow biomes; this included BiomesXL as well.
The 'other mods' however, was fairly inclusive. I can say without reservation that yours was the only one interacting with weather effects.
Thank you SO much for fixing this to work with MCPC+! Pretty stoked, but still a few small issues
- When the season changes, there's a decent amount of lag (possibly just client, but happening on all clients). It can range from 2 seconds, up to 5 (which means death in some situations). Things just stop, and then the new season is displayed up top.
- REI's minimap changes color according to season, but the grass/trees don't change color at all. Using Sphax texture pack, but I thought the colors should still be able to change no?
The lag did seem a lot worse on season change in v 1.8 vs 1.7.4.
Might be the lighting "fix" they introduced in one of the 13w snapshots. Heard of a lot of people having issues with it causing latency on lighting changes.
