I'm still having this same issue with Applied Energistics conflicting with Seasons. Oddly it doesn't happen in every situation. It was working at some point, but stopped working when doing a mod update. It still seems to work for a friend on his singleplayer world though, despite being the same forge and mod versions while it doesn't for the server i'm trying to run them on. Not sure what exactly is going on.
This mod will simply just not show up in my game or in-game's 'mod' button. I have the file in the mods folder, but no dice. No error message or anything, just not detecting it I guess. I am using Forge and tried using WPML as well, but I got nothing. Any tips or suggestions for this?
(I have several other mods installed, but I do not believe its a compatibility issue. If needed I can list the mods I used.)

A lot's been going on irl, and it's taking a while to work through it. I still have some more to get through before I'm fully back here, though, so this post is little more than a "I'm not dead" post, I'm afraid.
Since my last visit, I've coded most of a Main Menu API/Mod (idea based on the Aether Team's). I'll be uploading it to my GitHub when I can, in case anyone wants to help finish it. I've also coded the base framework for a game engine, but I doubt very many of you will care since it involves equines.
For The Seasons Mod, I've removed a couple of minor edits, which will help transition to 1.7+, but the mod's still at 1.6.4 and is largely in the same state as before. I do plan on making it partially open-source, that way others can look at it while trying to learn Java. The non-open-source part will mostly deal with the hidden items, achievements, etc... basically all of the mod's secret goodies.
My latest project for Minecraft is another mod loading system, this time with a much better conception. When I finish, The Seasons Mod will become base-edit free almost immediately, and will be compatible with almost all other coremods. I just hope I have the time to finish it... :S
Both the new mod loader and the Main Menu mod/API will be used in Seasons 2. I haven't been able to work towards it, but I'm still wanting to do it.
Oh - today is April Fools. I might as well do the joke I do every year: Happy March 32nd Actually, yes - that is the only joke in this post. I find that many April Fools jokes are in bad taste, so I keep it clean and simple. In other words, aside from the obvious incorrect date, everything in this post is the truth - Pinkie Promise.

Also, the reason for the funky install (extract from the zip) is that some internet browsers rename files to match the format's normal extension. (ie, '.jar' -> '.zip' ['.wpm' is a '.zip' format, so it would be renamed, too.])

3-Click on "File" then "Open" and open the .minecraft folder, then click on config. then open the "Seasons"
folder, and open "SeasonsDataTemplate.dat".
5- Scroll down to till you find a setting called "WinterSnow = 0". change the 0 to 1 (by double clicking the setting and should tell you to change the value)
6- now save it by clicking "File" then "Save". open minecraft and it should snow in the winter
P.S: you can change other things, like the winter length, you can make it 10 days, 3 days etc...

But there's one more issue that bothers me, when it's autumn, my grass and trees won't change colors even I restarted the game, even three days has past in autumn, the grass are still green

I don't really know but this problem doesn't often happen to me and it is actually a common problem, are you sure you are not using a texture pack?, and if not, try to get a one, then select it and then switch again back the default minecraft texture pack. I don't know if this also works.

2-install it and open it
3-Click on "File" then "Open" and open the .minecraft folder, then click on config. then open the "Seasons"
folder, and open "SeasonsDataTemplate.dat".
4- You should see alot of settings like this

I don't really know but this problem doesn't often happen to me and it is actually a common problem, are you sure you are not using a texture pack?, and if not, try to get a one, then select it and then switch again back the default minecraft texture pack. I don't know if this also works.
