Today, i am bringing you my new creation, ExpandedWeaponry. What does it do?
It adds 256 new individual weapons to the game.
Now, the most special thing about this is that you can ONLY find the weapons in dungeons. Thats right! This mod adds 256 more items to use as dungeon loot! No weapons are craftable.
What is the meaning of this mod?
Some time last week i was playing Minecraft with friends, and decided that there was too little dungeon loot. Finding a dungeon just wasnt exiting any more. So i started on an adventure to make this mod. It adds 1-2(on average) weapons to each chest. They might be the same, but i doubt it a lot.
TL;DR Makes you say "YEY!!!" instead of "yey." when you find a dungeon.
What do these weapons do?
There are 16 different weapons, and 16 different materials.
Weapons: Sword, Battleaxe, dagger, Great axe, Meat axe, scimitar, warhammer, shortsword, mace, katana, greatsword, machete, scimitar-dagger(Don't judge me), big dagger, baseball-bat, and Trident.
The weapon and material affects the stats of the weapon, and some have special effects.
Any suggestions are welcome, including change of weapon or material, adding effects, or changing stats.
How many item id's does it use, and which ones?
It uses(Hold on to your hats), 256 item id's. You might say that is a lot. I know. But i could not use metadata/damage values, because, obviusly, then i cant have damage on the swords. Wouldn't it be OP with powerful swords that live forever?
Also, because of this, i can add each weapon to the creative mode inventory.
The item id is from 700-256 and up. I did -256 so it is not misleading, as the number you type in the settings-file for item id is 256 lower then the actual id in game.
What are the requirements for this mod?
You need Minecraft forge 4.x or higher, and 256 item ids to spare, right next to each other. The only thing you can adjust in the settings file is the start number.
Pics?
Die, creeper!
Blaze sword lights things on fire
Endersword in the testing. Pig not happy. Obviusly.
Installation?
Pop the contents of the zip into your minecraft.jar or your minecraft_server.jar(Forge's work allows me to push one mod that works on both.) I Think you can put the zip in mods aswell, but dont sue me if it does not work.
