As Shadow has pointed out the kill amount is configurable via the config file, Also two reasons this mod is awesome.
1. Being able to absorb mob spawners or killing them and getting the souls allows you to get a spawner that you can craft at any time and place in your choice location.
2. Exp farm or a mob spawner trap contraption that allows you to collect the loot you get from them at a CHOICE location you have preselected. No more setting up a auto mob spawner and have to place torches upon torches through tunnels to get it to spawn right. Highest tiers I can see being good for loot farms
I think that for certain mobs, mobs that are rather rare, such as magma cubes, there should be a smaller amount required kill to move up in tiers. The 200 kills for high spawning mobs like zombies and creepers should stay the same though; but god help whoever decides to make a creeper spawner.

@ShadwDrgn any plans to make it SMP aswell ? I think this is a good way for making possible community Spawners at location. Cause sometimes your playing for a long time on a server and you got alot of time. And you find a spawner... In the middle of nowhere haha .

Tried using various forge versions, but they all get the same error, and the newer versions crash on account of, and I quote, "Fail[ing] to find FML sanity checker."

EDIT: If you are using MultiMC, you MUST put it into 'coremods' not 'mods'
if you are not and it still crashes, try installing it in the jar.
okay I'm confused, I use the latest 1.3.2 version for my server and your ForgeIRC causes this problem. It isnt crashing but my log looks weird with all that errors Is that a config fail or what is it?

I have no idea what you could possibly have done to cause this, but it doesn't appear to have anything to do with my mod. unless you're trying to tell it to connect to your server instead of IRC i guess. obviously that would fail all over.
I make it take up a hotbar spot on purpose. i could let it work anywhere in the inventory. I feel that having these cages is a very strong advantage and needs to be outweighed by some kind of inconvenience to the player. I do have some plans for weapons, but not like you describe. I hope it will work out and I think you may enjoy it. we'll see

I have no idea what you could possibly have done to cause this, but it doesn't appear to have anything to do with my mod. unless you're trying to tell it to connect to your server instead of IRC i guess. obviously that would fail all over.
