His question isn't answered in the OP. He's not referring to the soul shard, but the floaty spinny crystal tower thingie of coolness. Which there is no recipe of any kind for yet, because it's a teaser item for a future release.

Ahhh, Man thats a bit of a letdown, i was really hoping for a cool floating crystal in my lab, but thank you
no. i shouldn't make it open source. I specifically don't make it open source because i don't want people derping about in my code changing things I have plans for. Additionally it's against my license to mess around with it. There isn't much I can do if you're not distributing, but if you are you are violating my license.
1) They can't really mess around with the code since you have the final say to accept it or not.
2) You could change your license
1. Does the Recipe Remover infects smelting recipes?
2. I think it is a good way to solve problems if 2 mods use the same recipe to craft/smelt different things but maybe make it possible to only block the recipe not the block. Thatwould make it possible that i could add in my mod a different recipe to the block where i deleted the recipe with your mod.
3. (this is not linked with rewuest 2! this would only be nice to have but this is very optional, i could do my own mod to do so) If you can do this so you maybe could make that admins input their own recipes by configs.

I Have An Ideia For Get The Vile Dust:
You Need Make A Cage (Made With Soul Sand And Netherrack) And Traped A Pigman Inside, Then You Kill The Pigman And He Drops 1-3 Vile Dusts.

Soul Shards do not count Charged Creepers, so you can not get a Charge Creeper Soul Shard or kill Charge Creepers for the Creeper Soul Shard. Also Squids do not have a Soul Shard yet.
Another thing:
I was wondering, what happen to Thaumcraft mob Soul Shards? I had a Tier 3 Angry Zombie Soul Shard back in v1.19, but when I updated to v1.26, it disappered and I can no longer get one... o.o
Question:
When will you make it where we can get the Soul Crystal? :3 I really love the way it looks (find it in Creative mode) and want one as a centre piece of my Build. :3
And one Suggestion:
Maybe add a section in the config where people can add mobs added by other mods or something along those lines? I have a mod called Grimoire of Gaia that adds 47+ mobs into Minecraft, and some of them be nice to have a Soul Cage for. :3

I found a problem... The recipe remover works only for the crafting bench. People can use other things like the pocket crafting table, or arcane worktable, infusion altar, project table, advanced table mk 2, ect. to make the removed recipe item.
Well, works for any modded workbench.

Closed vs open is an old debate in more modding communities then this one.
Personally I have always found it rather disappointing the MC one went the direction it did, with 'closed+adfly' being the norm rather then exception. However, agree or disagree, one should alway respect the wishes of the author in regard to distribution and decompiling.
Umm, I have a Cow Soul Shard and Chicken Soul shard that would like to say otherwise... o.o And that was almost completely unrelated to what I said except for the Squid part... o-o
I made a t4 soulshard with my skele spawner that i found and i was tired of trying to get it to t5 so i put it in a soulcage and was trying to make another one with the faster spawning and it doesn't work. My soulshard wont collect souls. Is that a feature that you cant collect souls from mobs from soulshards? If it is you should really post something about it.

Well, you can't collect Souls from Mobs spawned from Soul Cages because that would be to simple and OverPowering. And I do agree that it needs to be put someone on the OP... o.o I only know about that because of DireWolf20's mod spotlight on the mod...

Well that blows... i was really counting on this to work bc i absorbed my only skele spawner and it was hard enough to get to to t5 with it!

Yeah, I already have a planned layout for a mod grinder for when I find a Vanilla Spawner... Won't be using the Shard to absorb the Spawner till Tier 4 (to jump it to Tier 5), and just simple grind the mobs from the Vanilla till I get enough for it... Only mods I should have to really worry about getting is Endermen, Wither Skeletons (if they have their own shard), Ghast and Witch (maybe, not really sure) with that, since I have a mod that adds more Dungeon Structures that have all Hostile Spawner except for those ones. :3

If it does, I feel like it shouldn't that would be cheat-y imo. I mean you get rewarded a nice spawner because you took the time to grind all those mobs
