About
With this mod you're able to display a ghost image of a schematic file inside Minecraft to rebuild a structure or export any part of your world (or a server's world) into a schematic file. You're able to export parts of your world, too!
Recommendations
The following is small compilation of mods that I recommend using. They are not mandatory, but they may make things easier for you.
Before reporting a bug, READ the FAQ. I won't be replying to posts reporting bugs/issues in the FAQ that can be fixed by the user. If I ignore you you may consider reading the FAQ.
Make sure you use the latest version of the mod.
Bugs are usually fixed within a few days of reporting the bug.
Upload (copy&paste) .minecraft/logs/fml-client-latest.log to https://gist.github.com/ and add the link to it to the post.
Note: if the crash is on the server upload fml-server-latest.log instead.
Describe what you were doing when the mod crashed. The more details, the easier for me to fix it as soon as possible. If something doesn't look right, add screenshots or optionally a video if you can.
Screenshots
Mostly from pre-release testing; the transparent "structures" are imported schematic files.
Downloads ATTENTION! This mod REQUIRES LunatriusCore in order to work in 1.7.2 or later. It contains the core shared classes used by all mods I release. If you don't install it along with any of the other mods here, Minecraft will crash. You have been warned!

Now this looks like a sweet mod. Any chance in the future for the "lazy" way of doing things? Like it actually placing the blocks?
ETA: Been playing around with it a bit and would like to report.
Seems like some times when placing the correct block that it still remains red.
A great feature would being able to pick what the phantom block type is without having to dig into the inventory, like what the middle mouse button does in creative. Have an assignable button for it.
Download MCErrorV30.jar and run it. The errors should be logged to the console. If you need help join the #risucraft channel on Esper (http://esper.net/publicirc.php) and ping me (say my name).

The would have be added to the server side version and I still don't have an ETA on that. WorldEdit/MCEdit is your best bet for now.
Do those blocks happen to be wooden half slabs? The old slabs in the schematics (and maybe some other blocks) have been added to the game under a different block ID. This is also something that I'd like to add in the future to account for (printing a list of all blocks with metadata, changing blocks/metadata on the fly, with the schematic loaded).
My minecraft doesnt crash. its just when i try to load the schematic..... the schematic that ive loaded doesnt come up but when i go back in to the load schematic menu again its says that ive selected the schematic.... but it doesnt show up for some reason plz help
That's exactly why I'd like you to run the program. There could be an error that doesn't crash Minecraft and is silently ignored. Also, could you send me the schematic in question? It could be a corrupted schematic file or (maybe) a special case that I didn't account for.
It was more than half slabs. Grass is a big one, sometimes I had to remove and replace it multiple times before it stuck. I sunk the structure down one level so maybe it's depending on what's underneath it to register correctly. It was a 1.3.2 schematic as it had sideways logs in the build.

You will not touch my jar file. I repeat, you WILL NOT touch my jar file!Keep it simple and use MagicLauncher

Ah, that would explain it. If there's an air layer in the schematic and you sink it down it will mark the dirt as a wrong placement of blocks. Those can be just ignored (it's impossible to code something that automatically detects things like that).
Stop being so lazy. What is wrong with building it by hand?
If you just want things to appear wait for single player commands ( with worldedit ) to update fully to 1.3.2
I have no idea what you mean, just as magnias. What does redstone have to do with a hologram? Also, added that particular topic to the notes if anyone will bother reading them. And as Azagal73 pointed out, this is a mod that was built with legit players in mind. Additionally, I don't see much point in making another WorldEdit with less functions (it probably has 50+ commands, haven't really investigated it that much).
does this mod work with texture packs or is the schematic just in default minecraft?
It works with texturepacks, Minecraft must be restarted though - to apply the new texturepack. Tha is if you have alpha enabled. If alpha is disabled the effect should be immediate.
You'll notice there are all builds available on the left, from the newest to the oldest. Anything marked with a star is recommended for normal users (you can even use the most recent if you wish to, they seem to be stable enough). Basically it's the last number in x.y.z.###, ### being 225 or above. You'll want to get #241 as that's the highest number/build with a star.
Great to see this mod get the attention it deserves
Loving this mod.....
Couple of more suggestions. Something like a on screen gui for moving the hologram around instead of the screen darkening and the game going on pause would be awesome.

I can probably add those 2 as an option. However, even if the GUI is transparent, it won't let you move the character around - but you'll be able to see everything in the background more clearly. I wanted to do that as first, but then it didn't look to well in my opinion. Will add it in the next release though.
Hi there ! Really great idea and great mod.
I have a small problem using it. I'm playing in 1.2.5 with a lot of mods (RP2, BC, IC2, ...) and I can't save schematics with new blocks in them. I think this is coming from the fact that we are using the latest 1.2.5 forge build (#171) and we have all the mods installed with IDs > 256 (Schematics without new blocks are working properly).
Is there any chance you can make a patch for 1.2.5 since most mods are not yet ready for 1.3.2 ?
Many thanks and keep the good work !
Edit:
I just checked your change log and v1.0.2.6 is supposed to support IDs > 256. I'm not sure why it is not working for me. I simply can't save schematics with BC blocks in them. The save button does nothing. It does work when no BC block is included.
Any clue ?
v1.0.2.6 should work perfectly fine with mod blocks with IDs above 256. Could you send me the said schematic?
Well, that's the point, I can't save the schematic Saving works with selected areas without modded blocks, but doesn't as soon as a selection contains modded blocks. The save button does nothing.
That's weird, I'll take a look at it later today. The code is the same for 1.2.5 and 1.3.2 so it should work just fine, but something seems to be off.
Edit: those 2 blocks are defined in my test mod as (I shamelessly riped them from a mod for testing purposes):
public static final Block nullBlock = (new nbm_nullBlock(565)).setBlockName("nbm_nullblock");
public static final Block block = (new nbm_Block(446)).setBlockName("nbm_block");

Heh, thank you.
Do the coordinates show up in the management GUI? And no errors at all?

The limit of the schematic format is 65536x65536x65536 I believe. In Minecraft that basically means 65536x256x65536 (or 4096x4096 full chunks).
