It never actually downloaded the world.. so idk where the worlddownloader.txt would be
It will still be in the saves directory, named the same thing as the server in your server list. WDL will have created a folder for it with its settings, even if you never started the download.
Look in %appdata%\.minecraft\saves for such a folder, and delete it.

You probably downloaded the 1.7.10 version by accident. Look for one with the name ending in "mc_1.8" - I can't check the exact name right now though. It's probably "mod_WorldDownloader_cf0d0d8c37ca7cf675763f34b29d99ee5e297433_mc1.8.litemod" or something like that.

Hey Thanks for replying, but in the Drive, I can't find a mod with 1.8 behind it, its says 1.7, is there something wrong with the Drive or is it just my computer?

click the show text icon in the top right corner or download all of them . I can see that the whole name is not shown . the long number in the name is a cheksum , a way to verify the file is original . I will move the Version number to the front later today for easy reading .
EDIT: I Renamed the files so the version number is up front and checksum is at the end .CHEERS !
Hey could anyone help me with installing step to step please? I cant find a good tutorial and the files have changed!!! Thanks if you reply to this <3
Here's a good video tutorial for the litemod version, by MinecraftTech:
For the file to download, use "mod_WorldDownloader-mc1.8-cf0d0d8c37ca7cf675763f34b29d99ee5e297433" -- it's available in the OneDrive area, right before the shortcut to my GitHub repo.

Hey, umm, when I downloaded the file, there's about 9 files. May I ask WHERE the actual mod files are?

(Idk if it's the actual inside of the .zip)
P.S. yea I quoted for nothing
It's not a zip file. The file I mentioned *is* the file that you put in the mods folder. Don't try to extract it.
If you're using safari, note this disclaimer from the main post:
NOTE: Download help for Mac users:
Thanks to user Mynockspit for this writeup on downloading via Safari:
Safari's default behavior is to open "safe" files after downloading -- files that it knows cannot harm the computer by being opened. This includes ZIP files. The reason you get a file named "World Downloader [1" or whatever, is that when unzipping, it assumes that anything after the first period was the file extension, and since folders don't need file extensions, it removes it.
Either you can find the original zip in the trash, or disable that in Safari's Preferences (Safari —> Preferences... Untick "Open 'safe' files after downloading")
Does this happen to anyone else with the latest version? Every time I boot up the game "Debug options" turns itself on, despite me turning it off several times before. This means that my chat is clogged with messages like "Saved horse inventory" and "Saved double chest inventory" and "Sending plugin channel registration" whenever I play online.

Are you closing the GUI by clicking the done button, or by pressing escape? If you close with escape, the settings aren't saved to disk, and if you disconnect without downloading the world, are never saved. If you close it with "Done", they are saved. (This will be fixed in 1.8d).
I went in and turned off the debug settings once again, but this time I made sure I hit "Done". Then I disconnected, waited for the mod to finish saving the world, then closed the game. The next time I booted the game up the debug settings were once again turned on, as if I had done nothing. At this point I decided I would go into the configuration file myself and see if they had saved and it turns out, they did! Here's what I found:
So it would seem to me that the mod is failing to read parts of the configuration file properly; only the debug settings. Everything else saves just fine!

Hm. Which version are you running, and is the server you are playing on multiworld?
I'm on Minecraft 1.8. And I actually didn't notice this until now, but the server I'm on has the MultiWorld plugin installed. But I haven't visited any other worlds. Just the vanilla overworld and nether.

World downloader doesnt work on villagers maybe update?
It should; make sure you're running the latest version. (Also, you need to open the villager's trade UI).

Is there any way you can disable the mobs? I'm downloading something that has an enderdragon, but I don't want the enderdragon.
Yep, just pause, click the 3 dots, then "Entity options". Scroll until you find "EnderDragon", and turn it off.
