I've literally been trying to download this mod for 2 hours and I'm so confused, I put the mod in the .jar I renamed the .json and .jar and I don't get it I deleted META-INF and still nothing I just keep crashing and I don't know how to fix this, if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated!
install liteloader then drop the iltemod into thw mods folsder/
Im using the 1.7.2 version of it. Everytime i stop a download it always says " Still saving " all the time in the menu. Is it because of my slow computer/bug?

Hmm . 1.7.2 is a minor version . If a server was still running the 1.7.x branch of bukkit , the server should allow connects from 1.7.10 . As I remember that problem was a side effect from another mod or the directory was write protected or the server using Obfuscator plugin .Try the Basemod version of 1.7.10a , load it up with Magiclauncher for ease . With so little info to go on , I;m just guessing . Get 1.7.10a here
Still having issues with LiteLoader 1.8. I'm sure I am stupid and have somehow misread a basic step, but help would be appreciated anyway.
So what's my issue? Wrong version of LiteLoader? Seems like the only possible error in my process.
Apple Java 6 wont work , go to Java.com and download java 8 for Mac-OS . Apple doesn't see eye to eye with the rest of Technology . If it's not apple we don't support it , LoL

Just downloaded JRE 8u45 from their website, since the Mac Java updating software kept giving me errors when trying to update (figures).
Be sure to set this setting after you install Java 8:
Setting has been set:
But WDL still isn't working properly. Perhaps one of these is conflicting with the process:
1. The "JavaVirtualMachines" piece of the /Systems/Library/etc location?
2. I have this macro mod installed with liteloader (not inside the minecraft/mods/1.8 folder though)
Picture of WDL not working ;-;
Thank you very much for the hasty replies and such. I assume I am making this less difficult/strenuous since I am formatting my posts nicely and including cute picture

It's helpful that you're including your steps -- it makes this far easier.
Can you show the list of mods liteloader loaded? (It's the little tab on the right side of the ingame pause menu). I'd like to make sure WDL loaded in the first place. Also, just so you know (though this wouldn't cause the issue you're referring to):

Ah, sorry for my ignorance. I had no idea that menu even existed! Well, it appears that the WDL mod is NOT loaded. Any idea why this is happening? Perhaps too new a version of LiteLoader?

I assumed this, but I didn't bother reading over that step because I had a feeling WDL wouldn't work
You need to install Java 8, then set the option to /usr/bin/java .
Check "accept license" and click on "jdk-7u80-macosx-x64.dmg"
then change this : /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java
to this : /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.8.0.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java
or this : /System/Library/Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.7.0.jdk/Contents/Home/bin/java
Alrighty, I didn't know I needed the JDK (I downloaded JRE 8 last night, oops!), didn't really think of myself as a "developer" :P.
1. JDK 8u45 insalled:
2. Yes, yes, everything seems to be in order...
3. Uh... Not sure what happened here. Perhaps it's because I have a profile with LiteLoader and Optifine installed? I didn't think that should matter since they're on separate profiles and I'm not trying to use the profile with LL and OF...
4. Installing JDK 7u80 and re-trying steps 2 & 3.
4.a. JDK 7u80 installed
4.b. Yes, yes, everything seems to be in order (again)...
4.c. Same thing happened again... Any idea what's going wrong?
Does this just prove Macs suck when it comes to these sorts of things? :3

Java 7,8 don't install in the usual locations, set /usr/bin/java for the executable
Sorry for the double post, but here is the procedure I used to properly install the World Downloader Mod for Minecraft 1.8.
NOTE: THIS METHOD IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS MINECRAFT, LITELOADER, JAVA, ETC. ARE ALSO SUBJECT TO CHANGE. NOT MY FAULT IF THIS PROCEDURE IS OUTDATED WHEN YOU LOOK AT IT
Procedure
1. Start with a clean download of Minecraft, making sure to save any necessary files (the 3 I saved were servers.dat, resourcepacks folder, and options.txt).
2. Download liteloader-installer-1.8.0-00-SNAPSHOT.jar (Mac) or liteloader-installer-1.8.0-00-SNAPSHOT.exe (Windows) HERE.
3. Quit Minecraft (if it's open right now), and install LiteLoader from the .jar/.exe you just downloaded.
4. Run minecraft, join a server or something, and then quit Minecraft again.
Check "accept license" and click on "jdk-7u80-macosx-x64.dmg"
8. Open the Minecraft launcher, select "LiteLoader 1.8" under "Profiles", and click "Edit Profile"
9. This step is for Mac users only (or confident Linux users); courtesy of julialy. Under "Java Settings (Advanced)", make sure you have the box for "Executable" checked, and type /usr/bin/java into the box (YES, PASTE IT IN EXACTLY LIKE THIS)
10. Hit "Save Profile"
11. Run Minecraft using your LiteLoader 1.8 profile, join a server, hit Esc, click "Download World", run around to load the chunks you want to download.
12. Post here when you did something wrong by not following the directions

Edited the post, thanks! I hope the combination of you & UltiNaruto's patience/knowledge and my ignorance & fancy formatting can help a few more users also experiencing similar problems.
So I've put the .litemod file into the the mods folder... and nothing's happening when I load up liteloader 1.8...

Here's my procedure, as instructed by some thread posters:
1. Install LiteLoader 1.8 for Mac
2. Copy the mod_worldDownloader-1.1.3a_for_1.8.0.litemod file into the "mods" folder
3. Run minecraft, log onto server, run around to load chunks, then hit download

Ok, my mistake. I thought by "/usr" you meant "fill this in with your personal file path".
Following julialy's instructions:

Hi, everyone, why when I download my world or any world with holograms, I copy them too? Any way to remove them?
Thank you
