This mod is not a science fiction mod, as the name may imply. It is a mod, that adds new content, with plans for a grand future.
I have no experience, what so ever, with modding. This forum is new to me, mediafire is new to me, and modding Minecraft and java code are new to me. I will make many mistakes and it will take me time to fix them and to expand (a.k.a. augment) the mod and in turn the game play itself. So I appreciate patience, feedback, and ideas ,they mean a lot to a rookie.
The mod itself contains very little at the moment. However, 8/21/12 was the mod's first day of existence. Some of my favorite mods have been in development for years. I uploaded such a meager mod (if it even qualifies as one yet!) to familiarize myself with forums, updating, and to make some baby steps of progress.
Striped Asphalt uses two easily interchangeable variants, instead of a slightly more convenient method of having the block's top texture face the player. (more of an inconvenience than a bug)

For now it just adds two new blocks to creative. They are meant to be used in making roads. Right now they just serve to decorate a city. I am currently working on an update that will fix all the known bugs and add recipes to the mod and very likely some other stuff. I want to steer away from tons of tiny updates.

I have learned a lot about coding, but I'm still a rookie. Work on v1.0.2 will begin tomorrow morning, more exciting (for me at least) new features and improvements await.
I'm interested to see how this mod will develop. What do you plan to add?
Thank you. For now, my most immediate plans are to add modern construction, transportation, and improvements that are not overly generous or that create an unfair advantage, so game still feels balanced. Such as adding checker tiles (quicker and scaled better than placing and alternating wood or wool colors), a ride-able and controllable horse mob, and a saddle recipe.
Im not interested in this mod(For now),but I be keeping an eye on you make me proud!
