Hello.
I just installed this mod (Vanilla one), but I'm also using ModLoader, it seems to be working fine and there's no bug around.
But I found out that the dynamic durability count which based on Unbreaking enchanment too is kinda ... weird.
I enchanted a Diamond Pickaxe with Unbreaking X (for testing) and used it several times until finally it take 1 durability.
When it take 1 durability, the durability value finally appear on the tooltip, but it shows: more than 17k, and when it hit it several times, it won't decrease unless it take another 1 durability because of the Unbreaking enchanment.
I'm just thinking that it doesn't look that good, if it would just update when it take 1 durability out of the tool.
So perhaps on the future release, make an option to disable it, so it will just use the default durability value?
Unfortunately with the Unbreaking enchantment it's impossible to display a truly accurate count each time the tool is used. This is because the enchantment works by randomly not losing durability when the tool is used. As such, the best that can be done is to multiply the base durability of the tool by the probability of the tool not breaking due to the enchantment level.
Also, are you planning to add 'Durability ...' message thing when overing the tools too?
Idk, but I think this would kinda make it cooler.
I'm considering this feature, however, keep in mind that modifying more than one class file only increases the likelyhood that Durability101 will conflict with another mod.
Also also, do you mind to decrease the biggest tooltip number at the future release?
I'd like to use that one since it's easier to see, but it doesn't look that good when you've more than 1k durability, because it's out of the border, and use to overlap another numbers from another item that has more than 1k durability.
The text in the large mode cannot be decreased due to constraints with Minecraft's fonts and rendering engine. At percent sizes between 50% (small) and 100% (large) certain portions of the letters and numbers will be cut off.

I think this has been asked before, but please, for the love of god, why not make it so that it loads directly from .zip/.rar, so we can just install it in the mods folder. A lot of mods stopped editing base files as of Minecraft 1.6 as Forge won't support it any time soon :/
Both of you, install this mod as a library.
Theres many tutorials on how to do this. I follow the one on the optifine page.
Hey everyone.
I'm new here (clearly), and I'm hoping somebody could help me out.
I haven't been able to get this mod to work since 1.6.2 launched.
I tried following the instructions Flames posted above and RedBanHammer included on the main page, but it still isn't working for me.
Any suggestions?
The game doesn't crash or anything, the mod is just not working.
Well, not even injecting the vanilla files directly into the jar file seems to work. It simply won't work, and it bugs me, becasue I did NOTHING, suddenly one day it stopped working. Hell, forge stopped detecting it in the mod folder!
Same for me, using only forge and this mod, It was simply not working.

I'll look into it, although it sounds like it could be an issue with how you are modding your jar. I personally use MagicLauncher to load all of my mods (including Durability101) and recommend you try it if the problem persists.

I am using magic launcher, However, i'm not using the default minecraft directory. I have my minecraft running on a ramdisk. but that should not matter.
@RedBanHammer I hate you so much man! I searched 5 different durability and HUD mods and still come back to this ONE!!! Non standard forge install + extra java arguments + http://pastebin.com/iY7zsG9j. So much HATRED!!!!
Why is it that your design is perfect for me?! WHY?!
Your mod is like the girlfriend that drinks and smokes and cheats on you but at the end of the day makes dinner, gives you all the love you want and laughs at your stupid stale jokes!
Much love,
sky

Is there going to be another attempt at a modloader version of this mod for 1.6.2?
