I wonder why the 1.4.2 list says, that the "Better Than Wolves" mod is Forge compatible? Is there a special trick to make it compatible, am i missing something? I could swear it's not Forge compatible. I tried it and only had a black screen : /
Flowerchild said something about forge in his thread, so at a glance it looks like it may be compatable, but no, it is not forge, all you need is modloader and the mod itself, im currently running a private server with it, so i would know, hopfully it will get changed in the next update

You might want to consider removing Thermal Expansion from the list. While technically it has been updated to 1.4.2, it depends on Buildcraft which is still only 1.2.5 though a 1.3.2 beta is available. It is possible to build your own 1.4.2 upgrade of BC from the source and instructions to do just that are available in the BC forums but it might be beyond most of the people who want it.
Especially when minecraft will be updated to a new release before you learn how to do it without any bugs and you have to start all over again.
Thermal Expansion does not rely on Buildcraft, it has its own way of transporting energy and creating it, it has 2 engines, one of which i have no idea how to operate, and a way of sending that energy to its machines, though it does not add a way to transport items it can still be used with machines being next to each other and changing the input/output slots respectively
How can SmartMoving be compatible with Forge?? It says you must have ModLoader...
It says right in the Forge Wiki why, and this has been true since July.
Forge is only incompatible with ModLoader because Forge now includes ModLoader itself code-wise. It has a forge equivalent (...neigh, superior) called "ForgeModLoader". This means that when you install Forge now, you've also installed ModLoader as well. What does this mean for you? It means that you need to install ONLY Forge to get both ModLoader and Forge compatibility.
If it's a ModLoader Mod and does not edit any base classes, then more often than not, the mod will work with Forge if you installed it correctly. (usually just dropped into the mods folder)
ForgeModLoader is there to provide backwards compatibility with Risugami's ModLoader, to make Forge independent so that if Risugami takes too long to update or something, they can personally press on with no need to wait, to minimize the amount of steps needed to install Forge Mods, and overall, to make it easier for the userbase as a whole.
A lot of people on the forum would have you believe Forge is evil, or that it's somehow something awful when Forge does exactly what it's supposed to do as an API. The majority of people on the forums who hate forge have no legitimate reason to do so, and are more often than not just jumping onto some strange bandwagon just because a certain... notable modder said that they dislike Forge.
Aside from all that, perhaps you could read the "readme.txt" file included with Smart Moving mod, which has several versions. It says right in there that Smart Moving (ModLoader version) requires the following:
either ModLoader or Minecraft Forge (not both)
Player API universal 1.0 or higher
Render Player API 1.1 or higher (This one is optional, used to improve compatibility with other mods)
The above 3 things are to be installed in that order.
Don't worry too much about it. Not something a little reading can't cure. And I think I may have provided enough above to accomplish this with the matter at hand.

No, that's just a glitch in the matrix. I fixed it.

Computercraft! I've given two comments with proper links and information about it, I've even sent in one of the mod submission forms. Yet it still has yet to be put up on the main page! What is this?

I was just repeating what they have posted on their own forums. They may have meant that BC was necessary for 100% automation and I misunderstood. I don't do automation as much as some people. It's just not something that interests me. Personally I find the concepts and the and the layouts of the TE machines more user friendly than those of IC2.
I believe it is sugested arrive at this thread with the link to the mod threads, and i don't think "train mod 1.3.2" is updated to 1.4.2 by reading your post :/

Just a partial suggestion to the moderator and catqueen, when you do update the thread, can you check the last three or so pages of it to make sure none of the mods listed get skipped? I'm finding more mods listed that are working in seperate posts then in the main one....
