Kerik and Dj should be very busy right now, you can`t wait a little bit? It`s christmas and they have issues to deal with like all of us, you can`t expect that this mod should be our xmas gift, you are beign sellfish, Kerik and Dj xmas gift should be peace right now. If you want to speed up this mod, they will not going to finish it because of the freakin fans that want the 1.3.2 version now. Don´t you forget that this is a total free mod, is made for all minecraft players, they don`t get money or anything but satisfaction, and they are doing it for us, so I think you don`t have the right to reclaim the mod finished. Just give them more time and it probably be finished.

i don't think you understand how long so many people have waited well you do but ok
1) If you need me to give you the source code for the mod, it is very likely you lack the experience necessary to do anything with it. That said, no, you cannot use our source code for any reason but private use, but if you can figure out how to get the source, learn how everything works, fix whatever is breaking it in 1.3/1.4 and get that done before I get the next version out, you are more than welcome to use it in your own personal copy of Minecraft until I get a working version out for the more recent updates.
2) My father has colon cancer, I've known since I got here something wasn't right, but I was working 40+ hours a week on construction sites for a while, immediately after which I got the news. The "worst" of it is over in that the surgery is done, but there is still chemotherapy ahead. That said, I have slightly less on my mind now, so I will have more time to concentrate on making a mod for a game that I don't play. That leads me to...
3) DJ couldn't use the mod, or even really work on it, thanks to the less than stellar power of the tablet (it does the thing I bought it for really well, which is drawing, but as a computer it's barely capable of watching youtube videos fullscreen). I got her a new laptop for Christmas, it should be capable although I'm not 100% certain it will handle the mod. At the very least she will be able to work with it. For the record, I couldn't make rent in Florida so I got evicted and had no choice but to move out of state. I couldn't bring DJ with me, so we haven't been living together since before the mod was released. All that work and she's gotten to use it once because of our situation. This did not inspire me to keep going.
4) When the mod gets updated it will come out for the most recent version of Minecraft I can get it working in. If that's the newest release, sweet deal, but again, I don't play Minecraft so half the time I'm not even aware of updates. Up to this point I've made it a point to be as compatible as possible but folks (DJ included) seem interested in the mod doing more, so, assuming I can get the Forge thing down, next release WILL use Forge, and future releases will add sounds and other gameplay elements we feel are missing.
5) I had an accident with Linux (in an attempt to allow DJ to remote login to the computer and play games using a thin client) and formatted the drive with the latest source code. No "hard drive crash" or anything, just user error (don't install a version of Linux you are unfamiliar with if you haven't slept in a day, sage advice). That said, the only things I should be missing are bug fixes which won't require too much effort to get working again.
6) I am not a programmer by trade, this is very much a hobby and literally my first experience with true blue coding was the dog mods I caught so much flak for. Second was the koi mod. Slappy's is the third thing I've done programming wise and frankly I feel it's quite a feat that it even had a release, considering the scope and scale of it. I don't use tutorials, I don't have help writing code up, I learned by poking around in Minecraft's source code, and I have a long ways to go. Having to learn as I made the mod and cramming so much in so little time I got burned out for quite some time, but the mod has never been "dead", just sleeping. Anyway, I'm setting Eclipse up now (alas, poor Notepad++, I knew ye well, but it got really, really old recompiling every time I wanted to test the mod) and hopefully I will have something to show for relatively soon.
Edit - Forgot to mention that the Linux install also borked my MBR, Windows decided it wasn't having that crap and now I'm dealing with a fresh copy... again. Hence the need to reinstall JDK, MCP and the like
Well right now I have a lot of render code to clean up and plenty of compile errors to fix, plus some bugs I need to address, but the screenshot should at the very least show there's something going on with 1.4.6. Ideally 1.5 won't break much, I was surprised to find that the mod was so incredibly broken in 1.3 in the first place, I don't really reference the default mob stuff much and I figured I was pretty safe for updates. I think I've got it now, still using modloader but I do plan to crack into the source for Forge to get a feel for it sometime soon.
Sorry about your Dad being sick, and also about having to be away from DJ. I hope this new year brings you guys better luck, happiness and health. I also wanted to say thanks for continuing the mod, don't stress on it though, take your time. We will still all be here when you get finished.
Man, that is bad to hear, sorry for your father, and Dj and the hole thing, you should go easy, if you can keep the mod going it would be great, if not, I understand, I know that you already know this, but the mod is the minor important thing in your life right now (assuming from what you wrote). I hope anyways that there will be a version of this for 1.4.5. Like DJ, i don´t have a good computer either, is a crap machine and lags everytime, so I not hurried at all ( I dunno if its writed okay). Hope things ended up right and waaiting for any news.
This is by far the most beautiful and elaborate mod I have ever seen. The fact you set this up without a background in coding is absolutely amazing. I'm eagerly waiting for the 1.4.6 forge version to fill my oceans with life.
Keep your head up and adfly your download links when you update, as this mod is absolutely essential for everybody who plays modded Minecraft. You have my support, bro.
I wish you and DJ nothing but the best and I'm rather fired up to hear your getting closer to a release this is a mod I've been ding to get my hands on for some time now/ I wish you and your loved ones good luck.
Wow, you've had so much going on. D: I hope things get better for you, and soon. My father had a close call with colon cancer. He was exceedingly lucky that it wasn't cancerous, but they took a softball sized cyst out of him. o.O Wishing the best for your father, too.
For what it's worth, I was totally blown away by what this mod does and all of the awesome 'life' it added to Minecraft. I'd be quite willing to wait a very long time for it to be working again. 1.3 really screwed things up with mods...I knew when Single Player Commands was having issues updating that it was going to be a bad time of it. I've actually got a little folder of maps that I want to play with this mod in particular. (Things like Oceanblock survival, underwater survival, etc. I could just imagine the awesomeness of living on the ocean floor and having all of the fishies and stuff going around.)

Yes that is right, 1.3.2 just screwed up every mod, I was writting the same to Ships and Boats Mod, that heppened the same with this. It will be great to have this 2 mods together; you can make a submarine and have a great view underwater, just amazing.
Its better to jump trought 1.3.2 and update to 1.4.2/5, that from what I know it´s easyest. (Again I dunno if I write it allright, I´m form Sudamerica)

I'll just leave this here.
And this one just because it amuses me and I forgot I took the screenshot XD
I appreciate your kind words.

Wish you luck on fixing the mod^_^
can't wait for the update!
I bet it will be great!
