Open up minecraft.jar located in %appdata%\.minecraft\bin on Windows or User Home/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin on a Mac with WinRAR, 7zip, or another unarchive utility that supports jars.
Extract Hardchievements-x.xx-bin.zip and drag the contents into minecraft.jar.
Delete the meta-inf folder.
Close minecraft.
Or, you could use a mod manager like Multimc or MinecrafterApp.
Compatability
Hardchievements should be compatable with nearly all mods, however the following conditions must be met:
Achievement IDs must not surpass 9001 and must be less than 9050.
Mods must not modify BlockPortal (ahc) or BlockMobSpawner (agt).
If a specific mod is incompatable, feel free to post and I will make a compatability pack.
Add a sacrifice achievement, "throw diamond in lava"
I would do this, but ModLoader does not provide the neccessary hooks for throw events or lava events, therefore I might have to sacrifice some compatability for this achievement.
Collect a moss stone block.
Create an iron pickaxe.
Mine an emerald.
Crush a mob spawner.
Craft an iron block.
Craft an emerald block.
Mine a gold ore block.
Craft a gold block.
Craft a diamond pickaxe.
Take a netherportal into the nether.
Craft a diamond block.
Collect a single dragon egg.

- Install Risugami's ModLoader or cpw's Minecraft Forge ModLoader (NOT both).
