This mod displays your current movement state in the bottom-left corner of the screen in colored coded text as well as your animated character model. It's extremely simple in design, but very useful when making sure that you're actually sprinting/sneaking is a necessity (esp. in multiplayer PVP servers). I hope you like it!

Extract the class file(s) and folders from the provided zip file and copy them into your minecraft.jar (located in %appdata%/.minecraft/bin or ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin) using 7zip/WinRAR (for Windows) or TheUnarchiver (for Mac).
This is a simple but useful looking mod. Seems useful for faction servers. I used to go on faction servers, but then I took an arrow to the knee. (Or at least a ban hammer to the face)

I was thinking there was going to be a 3D model of your Steve in the lower left corner like the XBox 360 version (Except it only appeared when you were sneaking). But this is still a good mod. I just won't be using it though.

That's a pretty good idea. I'll look into drawing the character from a side perspective with the proper animations and such.
The mod has been updated and now displays your character and detects when you are swimming. The class name was changed to mod_MovementStateDisplay (from mod_SprintIndicator), so be sure to delete the old version before installing the updated one.
Nice mod. I don't see too much use but it's great for those moments when you are confused.

Ok, this is the final version unless someone finds major issues with the mod or has a really good idea as to what to add/change. The character display and text positions/scales have been adjusted to take up a lot less screen space and looks a lot nicer (updated pictures in the thread post). I may make this mod open source if anyone wants to make changes and such; probably shouldn't be too hard to replicate though. Thanks for all the support (50+ downloads, yay!) and feedback so far.

Yup. I made it a few weeks ago because I couldn't tell whether I had stopped sprinting (from bumping into walls) in PVP servers.
