WARNING! Forge version was made with Forge 4.0.0.241! I am NOT responsible for ANY save errors. It should work, but I'm not certain.
I would like to say thank you to everyone who downloaded the mod and gave me their support! I appreciate it and I will try making more mods of great quality!
POLL INFORMATION!!!!:If you are wondering why I sent you here for the "Mod Specific Features (LOOK AT THIS THREAD FIRST!!!!!)" choice, here is why. I could add stuff like in-game configuration, but it would probably require a lot of time... I also would require the access to the source code of the mod. First one I though of was BuildCraft since it is open source, I could add a in-game option to change the "network packet send rate" thingny (which is OBVIOUSLY not that name... I don't have the configuration file in front of me.) and such. If you are interested enough to try/successfully convince a modder to let me have the source code of his mod, I'll do my best to add it. DON'T FORGET TO LEAVE THE SUGGESTION IN THE COMMENTS!
This mod allows you to set the port and the I.P. Address of the LAN server opened when you use the Open LAN Server button in the LAN Server in-game options menu. Simply type the I.P. Address and the port or leave it as default, set the other options at your likings and open the server! The I.P. Address may be useful for people who uses hamachi to make servers.
This mod is very simple and is in a very early development stage. Although there is not much to add to it, I could still remake the GUI and stuff... probably things such as compatibility with Minecraft Forge (when released) and other mods modifying base files of Minecraft.
I DID NOT TEST THE I.P. FEATURE WITH HAMACHI OR SIMPLY A DIFFERENT I.P. THAN THE DEFAULT ONE AND '127.0.0.1'. REPORT ANY BUG IF YOU FIND ANY!
Installation:
1. Install ModLoader OR Forge; 2. Don't forget to delete the META-INF folder; 3. Copy the content of the .zip file into minecraft.jar. 4. Enjoy!
TODO List:
- Add whitelist support.
- Add ban support.
v1.1:
- Remade the GUI a bit so it doesn't look as "sketchy" as it did;
- Added the IP option;
- Added labels for both text fields;
- Tried making the error message a bit more understandable. Not to confuse with the minecraft error message which sometimes overrides the custom message.
Wow, this is actually just what I needed! I was having firewall problems and it takes forever to list all the ports. Thanks heaps! You Sir, have made my day!
I forwarded the port in my router and now everyone can join my world over the internet, great!
This option should really be included by default. It makes the "open for LAN" an "open for INTERNET"
That was actually my plan. Even if I normally use a normal server with the minecraft_server.jar or bukkit, I still though it would be interesting for the mod aspect.
The errors you guys are experiencing are related to SinglePlayer LAN itself. I had the same problems. As for saving the last IP, I probably can!
Edit: I cannot add the feature to automatically save the IP Address of the last session, simply because I didn't find the way to modify ModLoader properties.
I can't seem to get this mod working. I can install Modloader, this, delete Meta-Inf and launch the game just fine. But then upon clicking Singleplayer to test it out, the game crashes with no error screen and no modloader.txt. I've checked my Java and it's fully updated as well.
Isn't this pretty much just a standered server, just easyer to start?

I didn't want to update my Minecraft to 1.3.2 until your mod was updated. My computer has firewall issues, so joining a LAN server/hosting a LAN server (and getting people to connect) is impossible without this mod.
Thanks so much for updating it! I really appreciate it!
Yeah.. unfortunately this mod just dont work with this new **** called "Forge"..
Really? First off, new ****? Not ****, and not new.
Second: I AM aware of it, since I make/maintains mods that uses forge... If you want some examples, google WiduX or the Laser Mod.
But yes, I am working on it... It is ready for release, actually. I'm having trouble with the MOTD thing... I will release it in less than 6 hours.

I don't want to upgrade to 1.3.2 until this mod is updated.
Yes sir! It just did
Indeed it is, except it's in-game and you don't need to download minecraft_server.jar
What version of minecraft are you using?
Didn't you say you didn't want to update?
Thanks so much for updating it! I really appreciate it!
Thanks
Thanks! That leads me to the fact that I am obviously NOT looking at the right thing, which is probably even easier.
