Hey. I've been watching some videos about Tekkit and I very much want to experiment it myself...Solo. I want to play it on single player without the fear of others attempting to grief me or start a war with me or something. Because in multi player, that IS an inevitability. And I don't like going through the trouble of starting a server or some kind of anti-grief thing.
So the question is, can I get Tekkit, just to play on a single-player? Maybe on Creative mode or something, where I could simply spawn materials and mess around with gadgets and stuff? I'm also having a LOT of trouble figuring out how to download and install it. All of the tutorials I tried to find either were out of date, or glitched up from some kind of wierd youtube glitch, and the script shut down on it. Only for those videos. I don't know why.
If anyone could help me step-by-step how a new-ish player could go about acquiring the technic pack and playing it alone, I'd very much appreciate the help. If you want to play with on a 2 person or perhaps 3 person thing, sure, I'll take a veteran. But I'd like to do it with an individual who wouldn't go around trying to kill me out of fun, or pretend to be Herobrine, or some goofy stuff like that. I have one friend like that...When I'm trying to toy around with a game, I'd rather not get interrupted and killed like that. I like to be neat when I do that.
If it requires a texture pack, I'd be happy if you could point me in the right way and show me how to attatch that, too. I'm hoping it's not needed, but if it's a must.
Lastly, if you need me to be cooperative instead of just listing steps, I'm open to discussion over Skype. Just add me and we can get started. alexclarke61 is the username to add me.
Hope to get some help soon.

Go to technicpack.net then download the Launcher (1.0.1.3 correct me if im wrong.) Then choose a modpack or tekkit (I suggest technic for the best singleplayer experience). After downloading the files click singleplayer. Then create a world.
Wrong post. You want to talk anything Technic/Tekkit i would go to there forum on there website http://www.technicpack.net/. Now download the technic launcher. Select what pack you want to play in the top left corner. Then login and click play. I suggest Technic or Hack/Mine.

Did you just resurrect this from (almost) a year ago? Wow. Also, it's called a MODPACK not a MOD! That's why I switched from Tekkit to FTB, most of the Tekkit players don't even know it's actually more than one mod.
