really stupid question, but i was wondering if the explosion was implemented on the reactors yet? were running v8 225 have a friend that likes to go crazy with things...
There are no plans to make fusion reactors explode. Just the opposite -- the current plan is that they should NOT explode. This kind of reactor has a very narrow set of parameters to keep a continuous reaction. when something goes out of alignment, it just stops. That being said, this kind of reaction DOES make a lot of short-lived radioactivity, which may show up in-game later on.
Hey guys, small question. What's the sodium from Brine used for? I mean, it seems to serve no purpose in Mekanism 8.1.0 (RR3). It could be crystallised into salt, then turned back into Brine again I guess? Might make the brine production problem less of a hassle
I have a quick question is there no way to get energy cables to connect to the underside off the wind turbines? it's a bit jarring to see the power line not connecting properly and cant even hide it when it connects infront.
the only energy output is on the front of the base of the wind turbine.
well.... poop, i hoped this was fixed after the forge fluids *bleep* up, but nope, slurry refuses to enter the chemical washing chamber to be turned into clean slurry, if put directly into the crystallyzer instead it enters the machine but no action is taken.
can anyone confirm this for me?

i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.
just to add to the discussion for people needing more brine /t production, mystcraft age or similar set to eternal day is the only max efficiency setup, desert biome as always.
[edit] personally, my advice is the same as every fluid, overproduce insanely, chunkload on a server, ae system takes in all of your liquid storage, after a week of uptime your server should have millions of buckets of brine in excess to kick-start with. [/edit]
Yeah, the extradimensional option is known to me. Still, it seems insane. Suppose it takes three maximum-size towers operating in a desert dimension with eternal day to produce the brine for one un-upgraded dissolution chamber (that's my current estimation). Now suppose I want my ore processing to be as fast as possible and upgrade the dissolution chamber to x7 speed. I will need four chemical washers, eight crystallizers and one elite factory each for the other steps of the processing line. Quite big but manageable. However, I will need 21 solar evaporation towers.... that's more than 40000 copper, among other things.
As for overproducing, that works, but I prefer having a facility that could get all its resources at the same speed as it used them up. I may not need it, but not doing so goes against my perception of what a well-constructed facility should be like.
thx for the quick response. now with the radation. cuz ive played withreikas fusion reactor b4 and the exposion from that was devestating. how is the radation work with this reactor. like spreading and how harmful is it
Hi all - any advice on a version of enderio to use with 8.1.2.229
I'm trying to get a pack together with forge 1384+ TConstruct 1.8.4a (so bascially the new fluid system)
Tried the last 3 dev builds of enderio and I find the game with my existing world (and yes some existing problems no doubt) works fine at first but then hangs after about an hour (block interaction stops or in multiplayer the server timeout connections).
Rolling back both Mek (back to 7!) and enderio (and only these) fixes the problem - but I have to go forwards or backwards with both due to interdependencies (requested loading order) so I can't narrow down the issue to one or the other (and it could be somethign else anyway)
So really just looking for a working match Mek 8 .229 and enderio version to get me going ...?
(I think it's the enderio conduits onto the electrolytic seperator ...)
Is the Chemical Washer oriented properly? You're not trying to push slurry through the output side?
almost positive, yeah, i tried all the sides by process of elimination to figure out which need gas and which need liquid.

I'm trying to use an Electrolytic Separator to produce Hydrogen for fuel for a jetpack, but the machine doesn't seem to be working.
It's full of energy and actively receiving power from a Wind Turbine, through Basic cables, and I've half-filled the liquid tank with water from buckets, but the water isn't being separated.
It just sits there in the tank, no energy is being consumed or anything.

First thought=not enough power. Second=oxygen side get full, shutting the separator down? Also thought it needed a constant source of water. Hope some of these help.
The only thing I really don't have is an infinite source of water pumping into it. I didn't set that up yet because I wanted to make sure I got the rest of it set up first before getting into the pumps and pipes.
I'm not 100% certain I have the gas pipes and tanks set up right, because the separator isn't even producing any gas, so I have no way of knowing when it's set up right.
It would be kinda stupid if there had to be water actively pumped into it for it to work. That would literally remove the point of being able to put water in with buckets, y'know?
From that, it doesn't look like your tanks are set up right. Make sure there's a pressurized tube at the back/touching the tanks. Also, use a wrench or something to turn the tanks until the seperator kicks in/turns on.
does anyone know why all the cable/conduits chunkload themselves? it seems to cause a lot of problems that seem to derp servers..

here is the log for build 229
It is not currently used by Mekanism

thanks
My EnderIO-1.7.10-2.2.8.367 works fine with Mek 8.1.2.229.
Try updating your Forge to 1391. Bet that solves a lot of your problems.
Hope this helps.

The wiki said the separator only needs 400 joules to function, and it currently has 160kj stored in it.
And it isn't full of oxygen because it hasn't even started separating once.
By all rights, it should be working.
Both sides pumped/vented out to out to tanks?
Are the tanks absolute requirements? I should think the separator has internal storage for a reason...
Don't think they're absolute, but I'd sure throw a couple in real quick to test it.
Just tested it, still nothing.
It's just not functioning for some reason.
How about a pic of the setup? Sure sounds like it should be running to me.
