The crashing issue was related to using WAILA 1.5.2a which is really for MC 1.7.2. Apparently the issue is how WAILA is retrieving NBT tags. When I removed WAILA the issue went away. I'll just wait for an updated WAILA before adding it back in.
This is how it looks. In total (with the Controller layer counted) the tower is 17 blocks high. I have 4 Advanced Solars, I have valves, I have the controller. Yet I can press the button as many times as I want. It still says 'Incomplete'. Is there anything else I have to do? I've checked the wiki etc so many times now I'm lost. Any help is appreciated :)!
I had a problem like this and didn't really figure it out, but did fix it. It might have been that I accidentally made it 1 block too tall, even though I thought I'd counted and re-counted correctly...I also dug out all blocks touching any of the salination plant blocks and removed/re-placed most of the salination blocks and solars too. Then, it started working again and I was able to put all of the terrain back, and break/re-complete the salination plant as much as I wanted.
Having some trouble with the 1.6 version at the moment and didn't know where to post. I have set up some wind turbines which are spinning and should be working but they will not power my cables. I've included a snapshot of the problem, someone please help!
It doesn't look like the cables are on the "front" side of the wind turbine, the side with a green dot. Power only comes out of that side, I believe.
A pick will do the job. A wrench from another mod (or the sledge hammer from Minefactory reloaded) may remove pipes and machines instantly. To manipulate pipes you will need a configurer.
Speaking of firing things up, if lava is placed near the heat generator it will constantly produce a small amount of energy for free. Consider attaching a cube to a heat generator that is sitting next to lava if you like taking long mining expeditions. You might just find a full cube when you get back.

Make sure you are using the most recent release of Mek7. If you still have the crash, post a pastebin of your crashlog. The list of mods does not help much.
Might i ask what "MDK" is? i saw it on the DL page but it isn't clearly labeled
Mekanism (or Mod) Developer Kit. This is something for mod authors (developers) to help their projects integrate with Mekanism. If you are only playing the game and not developing, you do not need the MDK.
Is that intended that a gas burning generator does not produce more energy than an electrolytic separator consumes?
In Mekanism 6 this was my standard setup to satisfy all my power needs. Now that kind of system just runs but does not fill the advanced energy cube that is between the output of the generator and the input of the separator. The only gain I have for now is oxygen.
yes, it is intended. You put energy into water in order to split it into Hydrogen and Oxygen. When you "burn" the hydrogen, that same energy is released as it re-bonds with oxygen. Zero(ish) net energy.
With the help of some biomass, water, and a pressurized reaction chamber, you can make ethylene, a higher yield fuel that can be fed into a gas-burning generator for a positive net energy result.
Until the website comes back up, you can use this to download Mekanism 7.
If you need Mek6, you'll have to wait a while, sorry for the inconvenience. In the meantime, take a look at your modpack, and give some serious consideration to updating to 1.7.10.
Not sure if anyone has encountered this, but it seems that Mekanism cannot be used to power AE2 networks by itself. The universal cable supports most if not all power systems but only if they're present (iirc) The attachment shows what I mean, without a "dependent energy mod", or one that uses the alternative energy (RF, MJ, EU), Universal cables will not connect to the Energy acceptor from AE2.
Any help is appreciated, Thanks.
Using Forge 1187, AE2 rv0.stable build 10, and Mekanism 1.7.10-7.0.0.70.
I can't use the latest version of the mod, I keep getting Mekanism:Any. (This occurs when I only put in both Mekanism Tools and Generators) and It seems that Mekanism doesn't show up in the mod list when minecraft start ups. I've already downloaded the latest version of both the mod and forge. If there is another thing to download as a core mode or I've missed a step or 2 on how to use the mod, Please reply and quote this.

Any fool can build something, any man can say anything, but no one can Live life alone.
Are you also putting the main Mekanism mod in your "mods" folder, along with the Mekanism Tools and Mekanism Generators add-ons?
Yes. As I said if I missed on how to use/install the mod correctly please correct me as I am new on the mod, The wiki and Mekanism website didn't really help me.

No. There is a 1.6.4 version (Mek6) and a 1.7.10 version (Mek7). There are no plans to make a 1.7.2 version.

I'm playing on hardcore mode if that matters.
