I am also frustrated with one little detail about this mod: your jetpack. You have a cool looking jetpack and cool animations, but, well that's the problem. MPS adds a jetpack too, on a piece of armor, but I rely too much on MPS functions to give them up, and I am put through the torturous desire to use your jetpack, but am still reliant on the other features of power armor. Is there any way you can make some sort of armor attachment for your jetpack, possibly like GalactiCraft's oxygen gear, so you then at least stand a chance to compete with MPS, cause haven't even tried yours yet, but I already think I would like your jetpack better from your image of it
Your mod has everything but these few "Mekanisms" to be among the best mods ever (well, more than it is now)
Oh ya, you should make some place to post user creations that use your mod, cause I am planning on building a castle and I think it would look good with your wind turbines on it

Just a quick note, although I've had Mekanism in my mod pack for a while, I just recently (v6) started using your stuff. It's great! Love the digital miner, and the windmills are fantastic! Best part imo is the way it works with all the other power systems. No aggravating need to put converters or separate grids to run your stuff.
I haven't figured out how to hook your transport pipes into my ic2 machines yet, but I'm guessing I just have to play with it more. Really loving the mod so far and I've barely gotten into it!

well i backed up current Mekanism.cfg, deleted it from config folder and let MC create create a new one. i tried to start the game just with new cfg, without editing. got no cardboard box conflict on startup and even cables appeared in NEI. but still, electrolytic separator which was built before is missing texture and has KillMe!.name label and game crashes after attempt to remove it with pickaxe or whatever (edit - the same thing happens if i try to remove cardboard boxes from my wind turbines)
I removed the old mekanism zips from the mod folder and installed the new ones. I moved the config file from the config folder (mechanism.cfg) to my desktop and started the game. But I quit the game before I loaded a world. This way the new config file was loaded, but since I didn't load a world no ids were changed. I compared id's between the new config file and the old one on my desktop, and saved the old id's into the new file.
If you don't do it this way, some of the ids get changed and a lot of things won't work right.
I also broke all the electrolytic separators before I upgraded, and this avoided a lot of problems.
I've been messing around with 5x ore production, or rather, the tiers leading up to it.
I have rooms doing 2x, 3x, 4x and 5x. It seems to me that the 3x tier is almost silly in how easy it is to achieve, with 4x and brine production it becomes much more involved, and then 5x falls off in difficulty when you break it down to just adding in a few more machines in between brine and crushing.
In the end, I ended up just going back to 3x, its small, far less of a FPS drop, and still produces more ore than I'll ever need. The digital miner is the reason for this imo. If the digital miner did not exist, I'd most definately go back to a robust 5x ore processing plant, but as it is, why bother?
When you take into account the new, tiered power cables, the complexity of the higher tier ore processing, etc, it's clear that Aidan is seeking balance. Yet that darn digital miner.. you can build it well before you even think about 4x-5x ore processing.

As you can see it is very heavily modded. I was not sure what the problem was (and don't know anything about what this error report is saying), I came to you guys because the first line says something about Mekanism. Ok, I have upgraded to the latest version 6.0.2.19. I did the config save/update routine. Everything is working fine, except osmium ore has dissapeared from the world, and all ingots made by my mekanism machines (thus labled mekanism in waila) are gone from the world. I've checked for conflicts with osmium, and didn't see any, and that doesn't explain the missing ingots made by the machines. Anyone seen this issue and hopefully figured it out?
I did double check and my Oreblock and Ingot ID's in the new config are the same as my old config (along with most other things except the new items/blocks).
So question for everyone. When you use a wrench to pick up a logistical sorter, it saves the filters that you put on it. Is there any way to copy the settings from one to another without having to manually re-configure the other?
I really hope Aidan can read this post even though it's surrounded by crash logs and update issues from people who forgot to edit the config
Any chance that we'll see diamond support in the ore processing machines? Judging by the old wiki, 4x diamond duplication was possible. And now that I've gone and built salination plants, kilometers of cables and pipes and lots of machines... Well, being able to squeeze some more diamonds from my ores would make it even more worth it. Someone would view that as cheating, but in the end... After all the work needed, isn't it nice to have something better than a Fortune 3 pick?
I don't see this as cheating. I think it should scale up to the 5x and be more of an incentive to upgrade to a full 5x system. As stated above, some people will just set up automated queries and deal with the 3x production because it's easier to create and manage. However, things like this would be an extra incentive.
Other mods, duplicate diamonds and emeralds as well. For example, TE's grinder can make 2 of every diamond block mined by fortune. So, I really don't see this cheating. I see this as incentive to upgrade in tiers.
EDIT: Maybe possibly 2 diamonds at 3x, 3 at 4x and 4 at 5x would be a nice balanced suggestion.

I updated mechanism and now throughout the world, there are salination blocks and broken blocks with missing texture, I presume it is because of old ore generaton because your latest update changed ids, is there a way to remedy this? Everytime it is rendered on the ground or in an inventory, the game crashes.

Perhaps you are seeing something I am not. It still tells me I cannot connect, and that the server is undergoing maintenance. Maybe it's something on my end. Thank you though

As you can see it is very heavily modded. I was not sure what the problem was (and don't know anything about what this error report is saying), I came to you guys because the first line says something about Mekanism. I understand if you can't help, but if you could lead me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks.
I did double check and my Oreblock and Ingot ID's in the new config are the same as my old config (along with most other things except the new items/blocks).
I don't see this as cheating. I think it should scale up to the 5x and be more of an incentive to upgrade to a full 5x system. As stated above, some people will just set up automated queries and deal with the 3x production because it's easier to create and manage. However, things like this would be an extra incentive.
Other mods, duplicate diamonds and emeralds as well. For example, TE's grinder can make 2 of every diamond block mined by fortune. So, I really don't see this cheating. I see this as incentive to upgrade in tiers.
EDIT: Maybe possibly 2 diamonds at 3x, 3 at 4x and 4 at 5x would be a nice balanced suggestion.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately it doesn't pertain to me, I have Buildcraft 4.2.2. By any chance did you have the same issue with ore and ingots missing? I haven't seen anyone else mention this particular issue, so I'm curious.
Perhaps you are seeing something I am not. It still tells me I cannot connect, and that the server is undergoing maintenance. Maybe it's something on my end. Thank you though
