Having a hard time getting it going, I'm trying to install it alongside some other mods and I'm aware of the hazards that brings, was wondering if anyone can shed some light on how I might fix the issue. I've isolate Mekanism as the issue through the fact that without it, everything runs fine, with it the game does not successfully start
I've made sure I'm up to date on all the core-mods and libraries, crossed my t's, dotted my i's and all that, just don't understand what the crash log means. Launcher generated crash log below:

First, I have to say I love how basic the recipes are for this, most of the stuff is easily made without being overly complex. However, as someone who's trying this out for the first time on their own and making stuff from scratch I like to figure out what source of energy I want first for my house, which in this case is solar energy. So doing some research on an official site for the mod I've discovered that you guys went in a complete circle for this. In order to get solar generators to use as my energy source I can make most of the items very easily, until I reach steel. At this point I need some kind of machine like the infuser or some such to create steal, steel dust or refined iron, which all ways that I could possibly find require an energy source I don't have. Which then requires me to make even MORE machines that I don't want that I'll just end up destroying and wasting materials that could have been put to better use making something else.
So what my point is about all this is that in order to make a stable energy source that doesn't require maintenance or building obnoxious structures you have to already have an energy source. I know there are people complaining about the recipes being to easy and so on, but in all honesty this is a sandbox game, it's not supposed to be overly complicated or convoluted when creating items. That just makes people want to pull their hair out the first time they see this and probably not want to ever use this mod again if its too hard for them. Luckily I have friends on the server I'm on that will lend me use of their energy/machines to create these items, but not everyone is as lucky as I am in this regard.
My suggestion would be to create a little book like they have for Tinker's Construct, explaining how to get started, like the first machine you'll want to make in order to get your first energy source. This way people like me who've never done these things before and are utterly lost can figure out what direction they need to go in instead of getting frustrated.
The little book is a great idea, it just needs someone to write it. You seem to be pretty good with words...
While you're thinking about that, you might want to give a read to the Getting Started article on the wiki. It is a little outdated, but still very informative.
Have fun! And check back very soon, as there will be an important announcement.
Thanks, I try not to get mad easily at things, which I had started to get really frustrated until one of the people I play with inform me of that generator, which you could say made me exceedingly happy. And my admin, who I work for as a mod on the server (I'm the one who takes forever getting all the technology stuff set up and everyone else tends to try to do it for me and I told them not to this time X3 ) was actually waiting to see what the response would be that I would get from my post. I usually try not to offend people but still get my point across. Though to be completely honest I'm better at expressing things through words or doing step by step instructions then when it comes to writing, putting together a plot for a story or some such and my skills go out the window. My story telling is worse than most fanfictions, but I have to say that reading a lot as a kid did help me out with that, along with the psychology classes/education courses I've taken in college.
Anyways, since my admin has seen this post he'll probably be keeping an eye out for it. ;3
I think you'll find that, if you set up a few gens that constantly trickle power into a storage system, Heat Generators can take you pretty far in the game. Here's something I usually do really early on. Make sure to build it such that lava flows around all 5 sides, for maximum output.

I'm happy just hope the fps lag is gone . If not I am going to put my ore processing in another dimension , but hate doing that ;because I like to watch my hard work process .

The main problems are the energy system ( cubes ) and Pressurized Tubes ( curiously, the item logistical and fluid system is just ok ). They cause massive lag when doing exhaustive tasks, like when you supply a cube less energy than it need to run a machine and Mekanism tries to recalculate the machine speed while checking if the energy flow is back to the ideal level every tick, or just using Pressurized Tubes, but this one I don't know why...
Anyways, you can replace the cubes with cells ( or use one program to turn their outputs off when energy level is low ) and use Rotary Condensentrators to transform the gasses into liquids, then using transportation methods ( Tesseracts, Dimensional Transceivers, Ender Tanks ) and convert them back to gasses, without tubes. So you can have your factory at home.
Don't say me you guys changed the awesome old energy cube model to one normal block...
If not, then what are those blocks under the feet of the char in the main picture in the op?
Note: I'm not sure about compatibility with v7 addons, like AOBD, that's why I don't see it myself.

Me and several people on meks git are complaining about the FPS lag , and it happens with only the machines used to do the 5x ore processing . Once those few machines are removed , and your just doing 4x the FPS lag is gone . Its not anything dealing with the cubes or cables for me and many other folks . I use enderio for the power, gas conduit , and fluid conduit . Also use enderio capacitors .
The site has 8.0.0.188 as the only available download, while the Dropbox links from Reddit are for 8.0.0.526. Is one mislabeled or is there a noteworthy discrepancy between versions listed?
I already reported this to Thaumic Energistics, but it seems that the new Mekanism (v8.0.0.188) causes Thaumic Energistics (v0.8.9.0b-rv2) to crash. Both worked fine before the update and if I remove either of the mods mentioned above the game loads fine.
Edit: Just found and tested Mekanism v8.0.0.526 and there is no more crash.
Edit 2: Also the Flamethrower doesn’t seem to use up Hydrogen in either release.
Most previous energy setups in a map I tested the update on don't seem to be working properly anymore where connected with universal cables; cables are losing power to each other in their own grids, energy cells aren't charging properly, and the green colored power indication on the cables themselves are behaving erratically when connected to new cables.

You've awoken on this barren wasteland planet, a civilization once ruled and proud, but where is everyone? All the buildings are empty, nothing remains, all that can be seen is mass hordes in all directions of zombies, skeletons and other creatures never before seen. Inside isn't safe, Outside isn't safe, what will u do to survive this planet and escape? Can you survive the 1st day without death claiming you?
There is no natural light, when night time comes it's pitch black, no moon light and all that is heard is the scratching and moaning of whats around lurking to destroy you. Mining reveals unbeknownst horrors from the rocks just waiting to come out and devour your soul. Puddles of liquid blue or purple are not water, but also intent on harming you.

do the permissions for mekanism include tools and generators.
Come check out my pack and tell me what you think.
You have a mod shipping a half-baked version of the IC2 API. You need a full version of the API to make it work.
Good things are coming. Soon.
