I use a mod called MobConfinement (compatible with 1.6.4) to store Villagers/mobs in an egg and move them to my base. You can technichally just store them away in a chest when you are away.
I just built a basement in my house, with a TV, bed, three block long couch, carpet, furnace, lava-heated 2x3 bath with glass floor to see the lava, faucet that spawns a still-water block, an air duct so that theres fresh air at all times, and a hopper as a toilet, since I assume dullahan's need them as well. Only problem with that steup is that I feel bad she doesn't get any sunlight, since letting her out of her room and not grabbing her with the my portal gun means i'm stuck being bullied when I only have good intentions. Earlier today I was looking for some clay and another dullahan stumbled onto me, sword first of course, I panicked and grabbed her with my portalgun and threw her on instict, im jsut glad she landed in water ;_;.
Manticore is possible, Werewolf is not because the Werecat takes that position. Thing is the Werecat does not even look like a cat because the color it uses is directly based on the Wolf in Minecraft and not the Ocelot.
well i dont think you should do a Werewolf, because there is one in Mo creatures, it seems kind of a waste of time to model something another moder has already made and done a good job at .Unless the werewolf was to be female then it would be different, but then it's like you said the werecat is really close to the female werewolf so what would be the point.
i would say stick to the types of mobs you have been making, sexy monster girls that kill you over and over and over.
But the Werecat did give me an idea, have her spawn in other colors, maybe colors like the minecraft cats.
I also saw a black harpy on the Monster Girl Encyclopedia and think that would be neat to see her in other colors as well, maybe even a really colorful one like a parrot. really pretty rainbow colored female monster bird , be like OOOOOO so pretty , then she kills you.
also if you do make mobs for Mushroom island i would like to see a Mandako mushroom girl.
Could make her like your garden gnome but bigger like 2 blocks tall, she doesnt move much, when you hit her she attacks you like the Mandragora. On her death she drops 1 of both types of mushrooms and a rare chance of a Mandako seed to grow more in your yard, the ones you grow wont despawn and will grow bigger than the ones in the wild, like a 3-4 block tall mushroom girl
was using the ars magica 2 mod with this mod and hoping to summon some mobs from this mod to become my minions but i realize some mobs did not register while others do which mostly come from the newer/revamped mobs
I felt like it was cheaply made. And actually, it was. It was my despirate attempt on adding a Creeper alternative while lacking any idea on what I would want it to look like.
I have an idea for creatures a well as images incase the creature is unknown to others. 1.Mind flayer -environment: caves -debuffs: weakness, nausea -size: slender taller than steve -level: probably 3 -drops: standard level 3 drops maybe a bust possibly a staff -attack: should use either some sort of ranged bullets or just melee
Sounds good. I was planning on adding an Ender version before (which ended up being the Ender Eye) because I could not get it to look right.
Sounds weird that you refer me in third-person whilst me being here .
I actually did make a Gorgon and Ent (model and texture only) but I never added them into the mod itself. Maybe with this 1.7.x update with all its new biomes I might add them.

That is the exact reason why I did not add a Werewolf; Mo Creatures already adds one. The Werecat is a female werewolf but because I want to avoid confusion with names (like the Slime Girl) I simply named it to Werecat.
I was planning to add colored Harpies but I realized the reason why I made its texture colored that way was because it was to act like a camouflage in the desert. Like real animals (such as the Lion or Zebra, etc.) they use their skin/fur as a way to blend into the background. An example would be if the Harpy was made to spawn in the Ice Plains, I would have made its feathers white. Now that I think about it, that does not sound like a bad idea as there is hardly anything spawing in the Ice Plains anyway.
I find the design of it creepy. If I was to add a mob to the Mushroom Biome, it would probably be a Mushroom Witch. I had plans to add one a year ago (model + texture done) but I never added it.
was using the ars magica 2 mod with this mod and hoping to summon some mobs from this mod to become my minions but i realize some mobs did not register while others do which mostly come from the newer/revamped mobs
I was not aware Ars Magica 2 had such a feature. Unfortunately I do not use Ars Magica 2.
you should add to any mob two versions: male and female, because almost every mob is girl.
That is the point . I made this mod to add female mobs while a majority of mods add unisex/male mobs. If I decided to add a male mob, it would be designed as unisex or creature (like the Golems, Cockatrice, etc.)
think you can set mobs to spawn more rare than others , like with the zombies, zombie villagers and zombie babies spawn more rare than the zombie, so other colored versions of your mobs could be set to spawn super rare.
Be cool if you could have mobs spawn by weather, like with the Yuki Onna, have her only spawn when it snows. But idk if it's possible, i've never seen a mod do it yet. Well it is possible , just depends on who's doing the coding
And my brain was working over time as i tried to sleep last night , i thought of your garden gnome and the weeping agels mod , take that mod and swap them to your garden gnomes, now that is creepy, garden gnomes that stalk you when you're not looking at them.
OH , just had a light bulb
your creep, textured to look like stone, doesnt move while you're looking in it's direction , then as you look away it turns to the creeper texture and creeps closer
Oi, Siletine, I think you should really consider a way to tame some of the mobs, or at least add an item that makes them ignore you, and heres why: I don't take pleasure in the murdering of cute monster girls, I mean, what kinda sick ******* installs this mod for the sole purpose of killing girls? Here, lets say you added an item that let you tame X monster girl/monster. You don't want that just being abused right? So why not make the taming item something that you have to earn, like the dragon egg, or a few nether stars, or maybe even a super rare item that only spawns in stronghold chests? Or a special set of circumstances that makes a a specific race of monster girls stop attacking you, like dropping items they like in front of them while being attacked, or even surviving an attack for three times the amount of time it would take to kill a diamond armored steve, so that lasting that long without attacking woudl show them, or at least the ones within a certain radius that you mean them no harm, or something.
Or maybe if not tameable, recruitable, so you put them on consignment, much like the little maids, but if you let them run out of X item or something they just go back to being a normal enemy. This way players would have to actually be mindful of their monster girl waifus, instead of treating them like nothing.
Or maybe special conditions per mob, like, for the dullahan, right clicking one with a lead thats pulling a black horse causes it to tamed/friendly/passive towards you. Or right clicking a werecat with a ball of yarn, which could be crafted with some woven string, which could be made with regular string. Giving a centuar some armor or a sword could maybe work too, seeing as how they both wear armor and carry swords. Giving a hunter some iron or leather or something, I dunno, they don't really look like they would need a whole lot. The vampire could be interesting, maybe a nether star, or a few could work, or maybe jewelery made from gold, diamonds, and nether stars? I dunno. The Totally-Not-Ran monster girl could maybe take weapons or enchanted books that have fire enchants, or maybe the flames that already drop from some of the mobs? The valkyrie could maybe "respect" you if you fought it until it and the player fell off a cliff and still continued fighting until the valkyrie was near death or something, though I'm not sure how hard that would be to code up. Then lastly, maybe the mermaid could be "tamed" by giving it cookies, a cake, and a pumpikin pie, after all, what mermaid has had any of those?
Make my waifu tameable goddammit, I don't enjoy having to avoid her sisters, because msot of the time that means portalgunning them around or getting flanked by them, like with the cockatrices.
So I've been looking everywhere for Boomers, and have yet to come across any. I went to the config to perhaps increase the spawn chance, and noticed that there is no entry for Boomers at all. Not sure if this is intended, or just an oversight, but it does seem to be preventing Boomers from spawning at all, at least from what I can tell.

dont remember any Boomers in this mod, unless you're talking about the Creep, if so then he removed the creep due to he was never happy with the way it looked

He's talking about Boomers, the stone block looking mob that explodes. I've found a few of them in the past few days, one out in the wild,a nd two in a stronghold.

Ah, well as long as they're spawning. Still, there's no entry for them in the config file (at least not in mine), so I'm unable to tweak the spawn rate for them.

Thanks for the suggestion and I have implemented it in my next update . Problem now is that nothing spawns in the Taiga during the day.
The Garden Gnome is creepy due to it showing to movement nor action. I guess you can compare it to the Sims 3 Mysterious Mr.Gnome who moves on its own when outside the camera/view.
I have no idea how it could be done but if I guessed it could be similar to the Enderman except in reverse. I was planning to make it spawn as a none movable Stone/Iron/Coal block which would only move when the player is near enough.

Basically you want me to add a taming item that would make aggressive mobs non-aggressive towards the player. The mob will not follow the player nor assist him/her with the sole exception that it would normally do its usual routine(s) except it ignores the player similar as being in Creative mod. Sounds simple enough but I must take some time and ask myself this one thing: "How?".
Your request sounds simple enough to implement but I do not posses the ability to implement it. I could if each mob acted and shared the same code but sadly some are different from others. I will try to but I will not make any promises .

Yes, it appears there is no entry in the config file. I forgot to change a variable in the config. If you had not stated it I would have never noticed myself . This fix shall be included in my next update.
As for it not spawning it still should despite this error. Maybe it is rare due to the amount of mods you are using.

Either an item that turns (select)agressive mobs to neutral, or outright taming them, either or. What I would love is if GoG would get to a point where something akin to the MobTalker would be implemented, so that after having a mob specials turn neutral to the player, you could court them if you so wanted, along with going as far as teaming up with your waifu/husbando, and then being able to outfit them with gear and fighting enemies together and whatnot, a lot like the little maid mod, which, in some aspects, is the reason I hopped to LMM instead of GoG, not to mention not enjoying having all these cute girls wandering around the world constantly trying to kill me and forcing me to kill them back, lest I get it up the ass and have to find my drops again.
Plus, I mean, you pent all this time developing new models for the girls, and i'm not too overly sure you REALLY want to keep the monster girls as enemies, cause, I mean, thats almost like a waste of talent.
But hey, it's all dreaming, you can only do what you can, but if you can't, you can't. I've more or less been with the mod (forgetting the time I spent not using it), since the beginning, i've seen you go from the ground up with an all new mod that no ones ever seen before, starting with the initial mediocre models and textures, to the super well done models and textures. Personally, I've never seen a mod make as much visual progress as yours has, and while I don't know a whole lot about coding, i'm sure you'll do great, i've got faith in you, if I didn't I wouldn't be so pressing on the whole "MAKE 'EM TAMABLE" spiel. You'd be able to do even better if mojang would skip new additions to the game, in favor of cleaning up their goddamn code/releasing their source code.
Released Grimoire of Gaia 1.8.1. Tons of fixes, adjustments and a few additional items.
I organized the wiki a bit. You may now view a full list of past videos (Mod Showcases) and download Sound Packs (not updated).
One thing to note is that I have made it so that melee mobs will deal half-a-heart damage which bypasses armor. I wanted it so that despite wearing incredible OP armor they can still scratch your health a bit. This (luckily) can be disabled through the config file by the name "BaseDamage" located under "General".

If I had a few mobs to deal with then that possibility might have been increased. I focus on the models/items/balance more than the code because (as I always say) I lack the knowledge to deal with advanced code. It is the main reason why I ended up generalising most of the mobs because of their vast number and the fact I spend most of my time in modding remodelling/replacing them rather than improving the mobs themselves.
Besides, I hate companions. Specifically speaking, I hate companion AI.
Plus, I mean, you pent all this time developing new models for the girls, and i'm not too overly sure you REALLY want to keep the monster girls as enemies, cause, I mean, thats almost like a waste of talent.
I enjoy it . It makes me do research and forces me to design (something I lack the proper attitude in). I mean, there is already a ton of mods out there which adds creatures and monsters, why should I bother adding? The main reason I focused my mod on female mobs was because back when I was developing it I felt a severe lack of female-based mobs in mods back then.
As I have stated before, I will maintain a 1:2 gender ratio on this mod. I enjoy making models which are not female, but not as much.
when i was talking about the different types of zombies i wasnt saying to modify original minecraft. maybe i didnt word it very well.
If you do other colored versions of your mobs cant you set that color to spawn more rare than the default color, like how the zombies all come from the same spawn egg, but baby zombies and villager zombies are more rare than the normal zombies.
i saw a thing the other day saying that Mojang has changed about every single string of code in the 1.7.5 version, if that is true then i feel very sorry for all the modders out there
Silentine, love this mod. I was wondering is you could possibly take a look at the Thaumcraft 4 API and possibly add aspects to your items and the mobs, I like using this mod with Thaumcraft because of the fantasy feel and be awesome to have a little integration.

Besides, I hate companions. Specifically speaking, I hate companion AI.
If you do other colored versions of your mobs cant you set that color to spawn more rare than the default color, like how the zombies all come from the same spawn egg, but baby zombies and villager zombies are more rare than the normal zombies.
I love seeing this pack updated and how unique it is! The items, mobs, blocks, and the AI are all very impressive!
Keep doing what you're doing, 'cause it's all great!
They should already spawn in the biomes that are in extra biomes.
or you can add the mod Mob Spawn Controls , it will let you spawn any mob where ever you want, pigmen in the desert , ghasts in the ocean.
