Yeah, the stone chest and 100% Crafting table would both be great. And as for the complex armor, make it where you need 9 stone to make an item, then need to smelt the item, then use the item in a recipe like this:
Stone-Stone-Stone
Empty-stone-Empty
Stone-Empty-stone
THEN you would have to make the armor, but can't use it unless you smelt it and it would take the time of using a full lava bucket to smelt it.
And after that, you can finally use the armor. Of course considering you can do this.
Is that complex/expensive/tedious or what? XD
And two suggestions, make a portable Furnace or change the stone stick recipe into:
Empty-Empty-Stone
Empty-Stone-Empty
Empty-Empty-Empty
And please change the texture on the stone torches.
Hmm perhaps make Advanced Tools? Like Advanced Iron Pickaxe and crafted like the normal one EXCEPT the sticks are stone sticks! it would be more durable than the normal ones?

Well there are actually private pre-realeases for v1.1. I think you will be happy to know that the way to get the armor that I added its almost the EXACT same thing as you suggested Also I have been wondering if I should change the texture of the stone torches and now that someone suggested it I am going to do it Thanks for your input! There will be a public pre-release for v1.1 coming soon!

I have thought about making stone tools have a little more durability but I decided to trash that. Instead in v1.1 there is going to be a new way to upgrade your gold and iron tools. I wont spill the beans too much about iron but I have already talked about gold. There is a video on the post now that shows that about gold tools Also thank you for offering to help with this mod I'm sorry but I am currently fine working on this mod solo, but eventually there may be things I need help with in this mod or I might try to make a big mod and I will NEED assistance then. I'll add you as a friend on the forums and talk to you later about possibly helping me with even bigger projects
Interesting mod; though, I would only, really, find use for the crafting table, not for the stone sticks or tools.
The good news for you is that v1.1 is going to add new types of tools Take a look at the video on on the mod post. I show only some of the new things being added in v1.1 of my mod
Are stone weapons more durable then their wood-handle counter parts? Sorry if I skipped over it and it's already been said.
edit- ah I did skip over a line in the first post. Imo it makes more sense that stone sticks make stronger tools.
A few people have suggested that but my only problem with that is stone is more common than wood making it so that it would become overpowered. Thanks for the suggestion though I may eventually add that so keep your eyes peeled
