As you can probably tell, I haven't had time to update this mod. I attempted to FML port a few weeks ago
but have since then ran out of time to work on it as I am working on other projects. To actually get this mod going again, I'm requesting for
someone to unofficially update this mod for me. Code is posted on Github here. Keep in mind I wrote
this when I was still learning modding, and although I tried to clean some of my code up its still not too pretty. PM if you are interested in updating this(Of course you will get credit for this). Once I can return you can either hand it back over to me or we can continue to develop it. Either way is fine with me.
Description
I am quite the fan of horror movies/stories/anything horror related and I have been looking for a mob that tries to add a horror "theme". There are a few that do a very good job at doing this, but they seem to have a recurring theme, nothing but revamped zombies. While this isn't a bad thing, a little bit of variety would be nice. So now, I present Horror Mobs.
The Mobs
Shadow Lurker
This headless enderman walks around holding the head of its previous victim in search for a new head to replace the one he is carrying. He is pretty swift, so you may end up being his next victim. On his death he will drop the bottle of souls he has been carrying from his victim. He is dead silent in his attack.
The Thing
A crazy half zombie half spider creation, this swift beast dashes through terrain making odd screaming sounds. Upon death he drops some of his organs which have strange effects when eaten.
Ghoul
This undead foe has been re-animated and brought back to seek vengeance. He groans as he walks through the night looking for his next victim as he wields his shovel. Once he finds a target he pounces at it making him very hard to swing at. Upon his death he drops grave cobblestone.
Sea Dweller
The monster lurks through rivers, lakes and ponds wandering around. Although he is currently non-hostile(Even when provoked), all that could change soon.
Burned Zombie
This new mob is a nether exclusive. He lurks around the nether in up to groups of six waiting for someone to come near. This mob drops cooked flesh upon its death.
Twin
This creepy new beast has its twin sibling erupting from its body reaching out to grab you. Watch out, otherwise you may "Join the Family". Drops a twin brain on death *Note* Not a very good picture
Reaper
This ghoul glides across the plains looking for a new soul to take away. Don't let it be you. This mob drops a Reaper Bone on death.
New Blocks
Grave Cobblestone - A fairly easy stone block to break, has a similar look to mossy cobblestone and regular cobblestone. Can be found by killing ghouls or in the "Haunted Biome"
Dead Grass - A grey, grassy-ish appearing block, can only be found in the "Haunted" biome
Rotten Log - In code, currently unobtainable, will be in the near future
This mod uses block ID's 238, 239, 240
New Items
The Thing's Lungs - Eaten this organ will allow you to breathe underwater. Obtainable by killing The Thing.
The Thing's Heart - Eating this organ boost up your damage percentage. Obtainable by killing The Thing. *Note - Random drop, very rare
Soul Bottle - Eating the souls from this glass will temporarily grant you invisibility. Obtainable by killing the Shadow Lurker
Cursed Fruit - Eating this mysterious fruit makes you resistant to all incoming damage. Crafted by using this recipe: http://imgur.com/bXi9o
Cooked Flesh - Made by putting rotten flesh in a furnace or it can be obtained by killing a burned zombie
Reaper Sword - Crafted the same way as a regular sword but using reaper bones. A bit stronger than an iron sword
Gravecobble sword - Crafted the same way as a regular sword except using grave cobblestone
Reaper Scythe - Made by using this recipe(Substitute different materials in of course). Works as a sword, shovel, and hoe all in one. Pretty nice multi-tool. A bit stronger than the iron tools it replaces.
Grave Scythe - Uses the same above recipe, just use grave cobblestone. A bit better than the stone tools it replaces
Iron Scythe - Uses the same above recipe, just use iron. A bit better than the iron tools it replaces
Reaper Armor - Crafted using the normal armor recipes just use reaper bones. Meant to fill the gap between iron armor and diamond armor
New Biome
Currently adds the "Haunted" biome, has a top block of dead grass and is filled with grave cobblestone. Currently, this biome does nothing and is semi-rare, but I have cool plans for it in the future.

Make sure you have ModLoader installed before using this mod. THIS MOD PATCHES EXTENDEDBLOCKSTORGE.CLASS(zg.class)! Any mod that overwrites that file will not be compatible with this mod . Once you have downloaded the mod, unzip it and drag everything into your minecraft.jar. Do not take anything out of the horrormod folder or put anything in it. If you get a error or a crash, make sure the mod has been properly installed and post the error report in the replies section below(Also, do not quote this whole post just to say something isn't working).
The next update(Past the 1.3 compatibility update) will include:
3 new mobs all sharing a similar theme and will fill a "boss-type" role.

Actual structure gen
Taking advantage of 1.3 features(Mainly commands)
Better AI targeting, and overall bug fixes
Question about the mod
I can't find the "Haunted" biome - I found the biome pretty easily, some people have not been able to find it yet, it generates best in new worlds
The Ghoul, when knocked in water, just sits there and drowns - This is its "weakness", it doesn't have the AI code for swimming.
Why doesn't the Rotten Log have a use yet? - Working on my tree gen code, will be out in a update or 2
When is the next update? - After 1.3
Why do almost all the new mobs sound like zombies - Since I don't currently have a way to convert audio files to .oog, I can't currently add new audio without requiring a new dependency(Yet). I hope to have this changed in the future. Also, my voice is deep and monotonous, not very good for voice acting

Don't worry, this mod will be continued when 1.3 comes out. However this will be the last "content" update until that time. I have looked over the snapshot coding a bit and haven't seen much that would affect this mod(I haven't seen that much though, so I can't confirm this). The first 1.3 update will mostly just be a 1.3 compatibility update and will also contain some new features for 1.3. Also, I'll be working on a second project at that time as well, so updates may come a bit slower.
The head holing thing is pretty eery, I got something pretty cool planned in the next update though, not regarding the shadow lurker, but its still pretty creepy

So I just finished texturing a new mob, along with ALOT of new items (including new weapons!). Tyler has worked very hard on all of the coding that goes into this mod. I myself have been working at a similar pace so we can push out an update within a few hours! I'm excited to get this new version out, and I expect the download rate to go up! Thank you for all who have downloaded already!

Cool :D, it seems people are having problems finding the biome, I found it in a few new chunks. Very good video though
