Having encountered a "random death event", may I suggest that you follow Thaumcraft's lead, and both cap the effects, and adjust the frequencies, according to the regional (per-chunk) and game difficulty? That will immediately cut back on RDEs while exploring, and reduce them (for a while) coming in from outside the base perimeter. Also, bosses should be ineligible, including your Battletower golems. I'd even be inclined to exempt mobs from spawners, which would cut out spawner-based mob farms and prevent them showing up in Battletowers or making Roguelike Dungeons even more insane. (Thaumcraft doesn't do that last with their champions, which, combined with their Tainted Champions, provides some interesting hazards/opportunities while farming spawners.)

You can reduce the mob health, the highest amount of modifiers, the maximum amount of single-hit-damage.... you can ban modifiers you deem op ... all in the config
Yeah but that's still changing the settings for the the whole game. Linking it to regional difficulty gives players something of a break when they first start out, and when venturing into new territory, while still allowing the hazards to build up over time around bases or other places where the player hangs out for a long time.
ETA: Your base chances for boosted mobs are part of the issue: 15*7 makes almost 1 in 100 monsters Inferno level, and that's actually kinda high: Between night, caves, and spawners, a player will certainly encounter a few long before they get, say, enchanted equipment.

Except this isn't Pokemon and there is very little forcing you to actually fight any given monster
Unless you were trying to clear a spawner (or just kill a few critters at night), and suddenly you're faced with something that has some combo of speed boost (that is, faster than you), massive damage, reflects/avoids damage, and/or inflicts multiple disabling-to-lethal statuses.
My point here is that I'd like to use the mod, because I like the idea of occasional monsters having some buff, but not "random death events" in my first few game days of play.

In 1.7.10, there was a skeleton that would crash the entire server the moment it made eye contact with a player, or when a player gets close enough to it. As a result, ALL the players get kicked due to the crash. I'm not sure if it's a bug or if it's a feature. If it's a feature, then is this something that can be disabled? If so, how? It's practically rendering the server unplayable at this point.
I have learned loot table of vanilla Minecraft. Thereby I prefer to use loot table changing the frequency of litter tall. Can you give me some supports that the mod allows players change the frequency of litter tall by loot table?

bloodmc found the bug and fixed it using a github pull request. I've merged it and pushed new 1.12 mod files. The "hitbox" infernal mobs used to determine healthbar showing had been mistranslated during a version port.
