Your slabs are not able to be placed on upper side of the block, is it a bug, or is it impossible to code?
Not a bug, just how the slab code is for 1.2.5.
I have tried to intergrate the 1.3.2 code to work with 1.2.5, but so far it just makes the slab whole when placed.
I'm sure i'll figure it out at some point.
Dude awsome work on the slopes will definately be installing these once you get smp working.
I was wondering are you planing on keeping slopes and extrablocks seperate or are you going to make a nice convinient XtraBlocks Insanely Extreme Ultra Edition?
No, it will remain seperate.
It was never my intention to do a release for slopes, as other versions exist and I know that "xeronut"
put in a request for XtraBlocks support to the author of the main one.
But seeing as nothing has yet been done, not to mention the fact that I use the slopes myself. I figured I would make this version for now.
As for also updating that for 1.3.2, I already have enough on my plate with the XtraBlocks Series and the Boombox mod updates.
Speaking of the 1.3.2 update, I have just got the liquids working, also added in ladders (slowly but surely )
And this brick block is probably the new feature in 1.3.2? Bricks growing on trees... Damn it, I was always tired of getting clay and then smelting it. Bricks on trees are something that I was looking for. It just made my day.
Nevermind, I have to go to school, its early morning/late night here. Also, Good work with liquids. And Ladders. I don't want to stress you, but you need to do trapdoors, doors, stained glass, normal glass and all of the rest before 1.4, and 1.4 will come out shortly
Sincerely, good guy.
LOL, the brick on the tree is just one of my glow blocks.
Damn night cycle kicked in just when I was about to do the screenshot of the liquid, I needed some light.
So sorry, no tree bricks! Maybe I can make one of my liquids turn a particular block into bricks upon contact, or something along those lines.
No stress here
Already have the DIY, Glow, Glass & Stained Glass blocks done, plus Slabs, Liquids/Buckets & Ladders.
I also have the Door code working. (just need to assign textures)
Trapdoors, Fences/Gates & Stairs are what I will be working on tonight.
MineKrafter,
You did it again! but I want it all! and it doesn't seem like I can load 2 versions of xtrablocks at the same time :-(
I love all of the glow blocks in Extreme ( makes great buildings and the grass/sand allows you to light up your yard with out all of the torches in the way) and I have ALL of the blocks textured. But now I want the mud and the barbed wire and the blast glass and all of the extra stairs and fences, without having to give up what I have... Is there anyway you can fix it so crazy people like me can load more than one version?
Also I have the regular super slopes mod installed and when I install yours the original overwrites it. Again I want MORE, is there any way you could write it so I could have the original textures and new ones?

Keep up the amazing work!
Yeh, you can't use two different versions at the same time due to the fact that they share the same blocks (names etc)
But fear not, because I will be adding all of those addiitional blocks to the Extreme Edition too! I may even release that tonight.
But be warned, ID changes had to be made to accomodate the new door code. I will try my best to minimise the impact.
Again, it's a similar issue with the slopes, not much I can do about that.
One suggestion would be to activate the wool slopes in my version (just assign them an ID) and then re-texture them to the vanilla block textures that you require
Yes, I try to keep the ID's the same across the board so updating to another version should cause no problems.
You can also use the config file for compatibility if I ever need to change an ID.
Yeh, that is a weird glitch but I don't know where it stems from. (Let's just go with Awesome Effect, for now )
Fixed the glass, I had the render numbers for the two glass types in each others files (Derp!)
Also added 16 more items and a Barbed wire block (acts like a web, deals damage like a cactus)

For those interested in the slopes mod. I have a single player only, version ready for release (still need to figure out one piece of code to get muliplayer working outside of MCP, hopefully I will figure it out soon.)
All credit goes to Keavator for this mod. I have simply made it so you can use custom textures.

Mother of God. I take a week-long break from Minecraft, and you go and put out all this awesome. And here I thought ripping off 40 old texture packs to use in my server's pack for your DIY blocks was a one-time deal. Consider this delusion destroyed.
.. wow. Custom slopes. Am pretty. I always wanted slopes textured with marble from RedPower. Ooh! Question! The glass slopes from Kaevator's mod - do they retain their transparency in yours? I stol.. errrrrrr borrowed this awesome glass texture and would dig if it could be used in conjuction with this. If not, bah, I've got a hundred textures I could use in its stead.
A fellow named MetaDark was doing an SMP port of Kaevator's mods, Slopes included - would looking at his or mDiyo's code help with the remaining SMP niggles? I was particularly impressed with his work on bringing Wallpapers and Frames to SMP, crazy awesome stuff there.
.. I need to play more Minecraft. Thank you for this!

Yep, the transparency still works and even better news, I have just fixed the SMP code so expext a release of that very soon!

Just a heads up, the glow ore still appears sometimes even though I set the spawn rate to 0. Not exactly a new problem to me, good thing you also included spawn height in the config, Ill just set that to 1 like I did with the other mod whos ores didnt cooperate.
Welp, not to be the usual "OMG ME NEEDZ UPDATE NAO" annoyance, but I will say that, as of this moment, these mods (specifically Custom Slopes and the XtraBlocksXTREEEEEEMEWITHANX version) being updated to work with 1.3.2 is all that's standing between me and actually possibly finishing a project I've been working on for quite a while. Why yours? Mainly, the SMP compatibility. Not to mention the ease of having a crap ton of extra, customizable blocks available for all my texturing needs... Indeed. So I emplore you, good sir/ma'am. Do your best on this. I believe in you.
Be Warned though, the entire mod has had an overhaul in preperation for the move to 1.3.2.
All glow blocks now have DIY textures and are crafted from the 3 sets of DIY blocks.
Cut down on the amount of torches/lamps.
Changed stairs and fences/gates to have 16 of each.
Added in the barbed wire, mud, blast resistant blocks.
+ more (recipes & detail will be put up tonight)
Sorry but there were also block ID changes, so you will need to cross reference previous config files if you dont want to mess up your existing builds.
This will also be the last update for 1.2.5, (with the exception of fixing any problems, if found)
so that I can focus on finishing up work on the 1.3.2 version.

EDIT: It says 3 texture files yet there are only 2 png's. are the glow and diy blocks on the same png sheet?
Will my current texture sheets work for this up date or wil I have to cut and paste all my textures in to this new release and once I update and change any block Id's I need to I shouldn't have to change them again when you go to 1.2.3.Is that right?

No, unfortunately you will need to migrate your textures to the new .png's
On the bright side, yes the new block ID's and texture sheets will remain unchanged from now on.
Any further additions will be added to a new .png and the ID's will be set to a value higher than those already used.
I apologise for the inconvienience this will cause users, but it makes things much tidier and avoids the need to ever change these blocks again.
Last update for 1.2.5? I think that's a good news, although I wanted to ask you about couple of things I think might be usefull like additional Pressure plates and blocks that deals damage when walking on them.
Is it possible or not? Anyway, go ahead and work on 1.3.2, I will be glad to see it.
Last update for 1.2.5? Well, never say never. (but it certainly won't be my focus)
Pressure plates I have already coded at some point, just never added them to this mod.
So yeh I could add them in next time and it shouldn't be too hard to make a block that deals damage when walked on.
Hmmm, you keep amazing me. Is it really possible to make block that deals damage? I am pretty sure most of the modders would just scrap that idea.
Also, feel like a little bit of offtopic.
Just to show you that I am really working hard in art school, this is sample of what I did with pen and ink. On texture pack I can work only on weekends, so it will take some time until I will finish it and put to public - here.
Nice work!
Got a bit stuck on some 1.3.2 code, so I decided WTF.
XtraBlocks+ for 1.2.5 new additions
Added the "Hot Coals" block that deals damage (acts like the mud block, but deals the damage of fire)
Added 2 pressure plates.
Timer Pad = Can only be activated by the player and remains active for 10 seconds
HiddenTimer Pad = Can only be activated by the player and remains active for 5 seconds (no texture, but you can texture it)
Requires Forge [client for SSP & server for SMP] (use latest stable build v3.4.9.171.)
Hell yeah the Hot Coals block in my ultimate favourite for now. Keep impressing me and I will have to kill myself, because of how awesome you are.
What's wrong with 1.3.2 code?
Glad that you like it, but now I have to cease all development as I don't want your death on my concience
What's wrong with 1.3.2 code?
Spent 2 1/2 hours trying to get the door texture to work, to no avail.
Found the correct code for the icon just not the actual door, soooooo frustrating.
For now I think I will remove the doors and finish up the other blocks.
Cheers, fixed.
Not yet, sorry.
Still working on it.
