I know i know. But I found 1.2.5 and a veeery cool mods. And your works too now !. I'm using an LB Photo Realistic 7.8.2_02 x256 and plasmacraft is working properly. Just see the screens:
Very good mod you have here but I have some suggestions:
~For weapons constructs you should make them partially out of metals(iron and/or obsidian) glass and other materials.
~You should make a tap to funnel liquids out of a container (one click opens the tap and allows whatever liquid to flow and another click would close the transfer)
~you should create another liquid called "Omagna" this liquid would be an animation of the three primary colours(yellow cyan and magenta) flowing actively this liquid should spread very fast, glow, hurt and also cut your hunger down (this would represent the liquid making your cells over-active to the point of stress related damages. The hunger being affected represent your cells needing more nutrition to level themselves out) and if you mix it with something wholesome to slow down its potency (like bread) you could make Omagna glowing bread that can heal you boost your speed and your strength while making you hungrier. If you were to split the "potent" Omagna on a crafting table or something you would get 18 plasma for one container of Omagna. Omagna should spawn very rarely and in small ponds in the neather. All enchantable items that fall into Omagna get a random enchantment the rest repairs a bit or just vaporizes depending on the item or block.
=This one is probably alot to ask for so its mostly a suggestion but would still be amazing for an ultra rare plasma.
~Another thing to look into would be crystaline formations growing around bodies of plasma
I like how you're thinking about more compatibility with IC2/BC3 etc. I think that, if IC2 is installed/when this mod get a reactor, this mod should make uranium cells/uranium vials turn into "plutonium cells" (or plutonium vials) instead of just disappearing. The Plutonium Cells can be used in a nuke maybe?
You can also craft plutonium cells.
I'm really looking forward to the reworked version with IC2 and Buildcraft compatibility. I'd love to run it on my SMP server. Good luck, I'll be keeping an eye on this mod.

So I like to consider myself reasonably capable of finding out errors however this has stumpped me. I think it is Forge but maybe I am wrong. So I currently have BuildCraft installed (not 3), IC2, ReiMinimap, Forge 3.4.9.171, Railcraft installed. I use Magic Launcher to run all of these, HOWEVER i have installed PlasmaCraft correctly. I didn't use Magic Launcher for that, I extracted the files as the instructions stated. So now only when PlasmaCraft is enabled minecraft does not start. It stays at the white screen. Now I have tried multiple ways to insalled this, I've tried patching it in directly, using magic launcher, extracting them to the .jar directly, you name it. And yet nothing seems to work. So now I have used the tool you suggested to display the error and this is the result.
Now I am not developer but to me it seems forge is the issue. However the front page says versions later then 3.3.7 will work fine. So this is why I am confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
EDIT: For further testing I have tried running this with Forge 3.3.8.152 and I still get the black screen. This error is what gets reported. This is an error that appeared using the Magic Launcher's Debug feature. It basically does the same thing as the .bat http://pastebin.com/vmQVpeuA
I haven't updated for 1.3.1 yet, and I'm pretty sure there are some breaking changes in Forge.

I am not using 1.3.1 I am using 1.2.5 of minecraft and a forge revision that is for support of 1.2.5 not 1.3.1. When i said fresh install i meant fresh install of 1.2.5 Minecraft

Welp I did the Java Upgrade and I switched to OptiFine. And I have made some progress. I have at least figured it out now. Apparently java 7 was needed I suppose and perhaps MCPatcher wasn't playing nice. Because once I did a fresh install of Minecraft, used optifine as opposed to MCPatcher and loaded in PlasmaCraft, it worked great..So then I switched on my mods one by one and it was great....until I got to buildcraft. When trying to run this with buildcraft minecraft itself crashes with this error.

So I disabled that and it played nice again. So then I tried to turn on RailCraft and that didn't even crash minecraft. It just gave me the black screen. SO for anyone wondering, it appears this mod does not play well with buildcraft or railcraft. I did search this thread though and that issue was never brought up. HawkW did mention buildcraft but it seems not only to be buildcraft but railcraft, and mcpatcher as well and java6. (becasue remember above I tried a fresh install with NOTHING but plasma craft and MCPatcher and forge and it didnt work under Java6)
I greatly appreciate all the help though. At least I got to the bottom of the issue and can see that these may be some possible problems in the future. So that is a win for me.

I simply added a 1 after every block id in the PlasmaCraft Config file and loaded it up with all of my mods and everything and got into my Single Player World and was able to so far play and create both reinforced glass and vials.....Holy ****...a simply change like that....was causing all of this...Wow I wish I noticed that in the error logs earlier. Damn, well unless somthing explodes I think I can finally enjoy PlasmaCraft!
And yes this is all for my Single Player World, I run a SMP server but it only uses BC and IC and it is a Bukkit server. This is really for my own fun. But omg thank you so much.

I'm glad everything worked out. It's quite possible they could have been causing issues, but in the end, it doesn't really matter if you get better performance, right? Java 7 and Optifine almost guarantee that for Minecraft, so they were good switches.

I'm really psyched to see this mod is alive again, I plan on doing an smp series with a few other people and hopefully we can draw more attention to it in the process. Also really excited about planned buildcraft and industrialcraft features, one of the coolest things to see would be iron tanks filled with gallons of caustic fluids!

HERE MIGHT BE SOME HELP FOR THE CRYO NOT TUNING THINGS TO ICE: ask the Modder(s) for this mod [http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1084808-125-magiz-mod-221-now-with-over-100-staves/] he is actualy good at making ice afflictions(me thinks at least).
You can also craft plutonium cells.

In this one instance, no, I don't mind. I am at a total loss as to why these issues are happening, so even an external fix is a welcome one right now.
