24 hours gone again, wasted in futility, welcome to minecraft modding, that is (unfortunately) our community.
(an ode to minecraft modding)
i keep making the same mistake, i think "oh, i've given them a few months, surely it'll be fixed by now" THAT is why i seem to ALWAYS be angry to some of you, my advice is to get the lead out.
there were nice things here, until the mod author threw a tantrum.
The conduits also used the molten redstone . But really King has more plans for it, just not right now. As for improved liquid transportation, it's in the next release and will be out soon
Awesome to hear about the liquid pipes. Yeah I knew about the conduits I just like to see materials be used for more then one use is all. Glad to hear more there's more to come for the future of molten redstone.
Also, just watched Direwolf20's 38th episode of his Forgecraft lets play. Pretty cool to hear that there's more in the future of machine tabs as well XD
Since the new version is out, the wiki for thermal expansion is hard to use. Yes we have recipes for the machines, but not for their coponents. I found the machine frame one easily (as it did no change) but the coil recipe is new...
I don't want to use NEI (it crashed the game when I pressed e so I uninstall and don't want to lose my time on it).
Would it be possible to have the recipe for the coil (to make a pulveriser) and an update on the wiki would be appreciated.
I just experienced a previously fixed bug where my redstone energy cell randomly runs out of energy. the energy cell does not accept any more power either similar to what was happening before. It seems that the "bug fix" has only reduced the problem as it was alot frequent before compared to now. thanks KingLemmingCoFH for trying to bug fix this and i hope you can get this sorted because it is a really useful feature
2.0.6 is out and should finally get the last of these little bugs. In the last one, we fixed it where it wouldn't affect new grids but I think old ones were maybe still susceptible. Kind of annoying. There's a lot going on under the hood. Hopefully we'll have a new major release out soon now that this is all (to our knowledge) straightened out.
Is it intentional that your dusts and IC2s dusts are not ore dictionaried to each other?
It is not a problem per se, I am mostly just curious. I can't think of much that actually uses the dusts directly except for IC2 bronze creation and Electrum creation, but it just seems a bit off since they both have ore dictionary entries, but are different entries.
I think your dusts are defined as ironDust and IC2s are defined as itemIronDust (with obviously iron replaced with gold, silver, copper, or tin for the other shared types), but I don't have the game in front of me to check.
The mods adds two engines - Steam and Magmatic. At the moment, it can be annoying to power them without liquid pipes, as you must use buckets - but they're still standalone.

It's not intentional, and I would be more than happy for the dusts to work together. Thermal Expansion's dusts are registered as "dust(metal"), and IC2's dusts are registered as "ItemDust(metal)" which is the source of the issue. The Forge Lexicon from Omnitools (on the wiki) is a good way to see this.
Basically, the issue here is on IC2's end. I am using the community agreed upon naming convention for all of my ore dictionary items - two word camelCase for the ore name. (oreCopper, ingotCopper, dustCopper...etc for whatever metal you want)
GregTech actually re-registers the IC2 ore dictionary ores under the proper name, and it's something I'm considering as well as a separate mod - it would have to be a separate mod to fall in with the IC2 license, and I'm okay with that.
Are the Magmatic Engines supposed to accept lava cans/capsules/cells from Forestry/IC2 as a fuel source? Because mine won't take them. (Using the FTB pack.) I was having the same problem with Creosote oil cans and Forrestry Biogas engines (which is why I was trying the Magmatic).
So just tried yout other mod on the Thermal Expansion wiki - the Omnitools one. Pretty awesome. One problem though - The OmniWrench itself isn't showing up properly when using the Feed the Beast pack. Recipe is there, shows up in NEI.... result is apparenlyt Ender Pearl Dust. I'm assuming it's a block id conflict, but not sure how to fix it. Didn't see a config file.
My Jenkins server keeps up with the BC github and dumps compiled jars here. (note: I stopped building these 3 days ago, BC's github is in 1.4.4 now. Will resume upon official 1.4.4 release.)
wait..... denoflions is that 1.4.2 of BC working?? like I could put it into the mod's folder and it would start up and work or no?
Yes it works. I've been using it for ages. This is the link you seek.
Okay well when I tried to put it in the mod folder and start up the game I get this:

I think it's the end result of one of my mods or I just did something wrong I was hoping you would know thanks if your willing to help!
Think I may have found a small bug had a Thermionic Fabricator hooked up to conduits and had the conduit disabled (emit power not receive) since the Fabricator never turns off (keeps sucking power to keep the glass molten) I put it back to receive power and had a lot of lag which went away as soon as I put it back on emit, ok I probably shouldn't be using your conduits as a switch but it does work apart from this possible issue.
Okay well when I tried to put it in the mod folder and start up the game I get this:

Is there any plans for energy storage blocks with a larger capacity? My railcraft 3x3x4 high pressure steam boiler could have filled up over 12 of these just off a couple stacks of coal coke. Yeah, it generates quite a lot of power, almost 100MJ/t :S
Love your mod, been using it from the start to make everything from cobblegens to IC2 CASUC reactors
more expensive would be fine, more tedious as IC2 recipes seem to go, no way, not in a million years, i've built literally one IC2 machine on this incarnation of our server and i don't see myself making a second anytime soon either, i got sick of 30 steps or more to make something that's marginally better than vanilla and will require most of the day to setup properly.

A small... I would not call it suggestion but something to think about.
Would you mind making the Pulverizer more expensive? It always felt wrong to have a cheap macerator in IC2 and the Pulverizer is basically the same. I would wish for at least two diamonds in the recipe since it would create some decision about what to do with your first diamonds. Since at least in FTB the Macerator costs 3 diamonds and the Rockcrusher 4, the Pulverizer looks a bit cheap and for doubling your output this feels pretty cheap.
It's in the config a more expensive Pulveriser and Smelter.
