Have you ever been annoyed at the vanilla jukeboxes? Well, so have I. They can only hold one record, they play it once, and then to play it again you have to take it out and put it back in! That's outrageous.
But with the Better Jukebox mod, you can store up to 9 records in your jukebox, play and pause at your will, cycle through the songs and even have your jukebox loop and cycle continuously!
Mod Information
This mod adds a new block to the game called the Jukebox v2.0. It can store up to 9 records in your jukebox, play and pause at your will, cycle through the songs and even have your jukebox loop and cycle continuously!
You craft it with a vanilla jukebox and four diamonds:
When you open up your new jukebox for the first time, you'll see this interface:
The interface is made up of 9 record slots, your inventory, and an assortment of buttons. Let me show you how they all work:
The play/pause button is used to start and stop the playing of your music.
The right and left arrow buttons are used to select which record you want to play. This is indicated with the purple arrow under the record slots.
The cycle and loop buttons control the functions that the jukebox performs to play the music. When cycle is on, the jukebox will move to the next song when the current song ends. If loop is on, the jukebox will play music continuously. This can mean playing the same song over and over again if cycle is turned off, or looping back to the first song when all have been played if cycle is on. If cycle and loop are both turned off, the record player will play the selected song once and then stop.
BONUS CONTENT: If you put a diamond in your jukebox, it will play the song "Cipher" by Kevin MacLeod. This song is available for free under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported license at.

It was a problem in internet explorer (a horrible browser) and minecraft forum's horrible content management system. I went and redid the BBCode and now it's fixed.
this is pretty cool. but is it redstone compatible?
ie:
when powered - song(and the cycle attributes) play
when power is turned off for 1-4 redstone ticks, song will pause
when power is turned off for more than 4 redstone ticks, all songs will halt.
No, redstone doesn't affect it. But you could vote for that in the poll.
For me It would be just useless to have the old jukebox when installing this, and I dunno if other people would say the same, I'm just saying that having different options for your users to choose from is what makes an awesome mod the best. IMO

I guess you have a point, but I just hate making mods that edit base files. But whatever maybe I'll do it.
Every Modder hates editing base files, but what wouldbe worth a try, is not change the vanilla item, but just remove it from the Block.blockList and the Item.itemList, and then replace it with your'se (should all be doable in the mod_ File)
I've always thought about doing that, but I think it might have issues. I'll give it a shot and see what happens, but I'm guessing it won't work.
I've installed the mod and the music Cipher doesn't work, when I run minecraft with log, it says "Attempting to download Cipher..." and doesn't download it.
So, can you put the music inside the mod already installed or tell where I need to put it (I've downloaded from YouTube)?
Edit: Found a bug:
When putting any disc or a diamond in the JukeBox v2.0 and removing it via click and drag, the item bugs, and the item will disappear if open any GUI with it in the hand (Chests, CraftingTable, JukeBox v2.0, etc). For the diamond, the bug also occur if placed with another diamond (stacking). The bug seems to be permanent, even reloading the world, the item keeps bugged.
The item will not bug if removed via shift + click.

I too would like to see custom records.
So, can you put the music inside the mod already installed or tell where I need to put it (I've downloaded from YouTube)?
