You should make shark and tuna have different fillets then the plain fish fillet (shark steak, tuna steak) that heals more hearts. Just saying irl, they are a much heartier fish than bluegill (trust me, I'm a fisherman)
You should work with the Fishing++ guy. I have both of you guys' mods installed and they work beautifully together (at least with forge).
Also, what does the squid and the tin can do? They are both a little awkward taking up inventory space :/
Other than that, GREAT JOB on the mod! I LOVE the textures for Neptunium tools and armor, even though they are THE HARDEST thing to catch!
Thanks! Glad to see you like it.
Shark/Tuna might get some different fillets later depending, Tuna is actually a lower tier saltwater fish so when the biome changes go live they'll be different.
I'm baffled the mods work together, do you mean you can fish using my rod or his? Or that you can catch either of our stuff with eachother's mods?
And you caught a Squid? They actually aren't in the loot tables right now, which is a bug if you caught one lol (They'll be craftable into Ink Sacs soon).

As a note, a Neptunium Bar is .1% to catch
Awesome man! That's going on the front lol.
What I mean is that there are no conflicting items between the mods... that would be really cool though if I caught your fish with a fishing++ rod. By the way I love the work you're putting into this mod.

Haha was worth checking, thank ya for the praise. I don't think I can make my fishing rod compatible with his mod (his mod actually modifies the base classes, mine is a whole new rod).

Please tell me that one of those blue weapons is a crossbow, because the bottom right (one to the left) sure looks like it, and I had an idea for the material out of which to make the bolts...whale bone.

Darn! There are no good ranged weapons, haha. Care to explain what they are?
Also, I found code pertaining to light detection, well...setting it. "setLightValue" so maybe "LightValue" is its own variable. I'm gonna keep searching through the source code for this stuff since I have nothing else to do.
.1%?! Oy, gonna take a LONG time to get enough ores for all of the items.
Dang it, now I really got to get to work and find out if the fairies from Fairy Factions can fish with your poles and catch some of the ore for me!
I think this was asked before but just in case: what's the damage of the sword and the enchantability compared to vanilla stuff?
On a side note, this is reminding me a lot of Breath of Fire in regards to fishing up the ores. Perhaps when you figure out biome specific stuff if you ever add another ore or two to fish up, you can also make those biome specific?
Fishing up Dragon Armor was one of the gaming highlights of my youth.

The rate will be higher once Gold/Diamond Rods are added
The Neptunium stuff is basically 2-3x Diamond.

Whoa, that's... POWERFUL... Or you mean just enchantability and durability is 2-3X better than diamond? 2-3X more powerful a sword means one-shotting everything, I think...
Glad you chimes in about better rods having better chances, meant to ask about that.

I have a couple ideas... how about bait, you'll have to have bait on your hot bar if you hold shift then right click it will take the bait off your hot bar and on to the hook. there could be different hooks and on the 2x2 crafting area you combine the hook with the iron fishing pole. then maybe also a tackle box where you right click it will bring up another gui where you can store bait hooks and etc.

Too complex for too little gain honestly, I love the idea of bait, I just can't find an easy or cool way to code it without needlessly complicating the mod even more.

Thanks to the people who helped me over in another thread, biome specific fishing is now IN! The code is running and working flawlessly (IE: I just fished Diamonds in a Jungle then my fish in a River)
