How are you adding Pokemon? Are you going generation by generation, just adding any random Pokemon from the gen your working on or what? I don't know why, I just want to know.
Also, how do you change the spawn values? I'm looking in the text document, I just don't know what the spawn values look like or where they are.

I can answer your first question for you. We, at first, didn't really care too much about it but tried to keep as gen 1 as possible. Then (now) since there is only so few (like 6) Gen 1 pokemon left, we are now focusing on dong ONLY Gen 1. We were going to generation by generation but that didn't provide a major positive effect for the progress of Pixelmon, so, MrM put up a poll to see how this will be done. The Poll so far has the most votes on 'Doing any generation besides 6' so I hope that answers your question.
Hi there! I love this mod but I'm having problems with it. I had it installed the other day but then I had to re-do my whole Minecraft because I had to un-install Optifine (Because I forgot about the warning on this page about Optifine not being compatible). Now I can’t seem to get it working again? I just get a black screen after Forge loads and the Mojang screen finishes. I’m installing exactly the same as I did the other day but it’s not working. Without Pixelmon installed, it works fine but then as soon as I try install it again, it doesn’t work. Can someone help? (´Д`)ノ
this mod is otherwise great, except for one thing. when ever im trying to get anywhere, a pokemon, wild, with a lot higher level then me, attacks, and im not able to do anything else then watch my pokemon faint. i cant do anything, if you try to run, it always fails. i was just attacked by a lvl 53 kingler while i was lvl 10 and i got my ass handed to me. its annoying, please remove it so that i dont need to be scared each time i go train or something and there are over leveled wild pokemon around me.

I would highly recommend getting MultiMC for keeping multiple modded versions of minecraft available at the same time, it is what I use when I do coding or beta test some of the Pixelmon side mods, and I have close to ten different versions (this will just save you the trouble of changing everything when you want to play other mods).
Now, to answer your question, did you make sure that you installed the mod by unzipping the install folder into the main minecraft folder and not the mods folder? It is one of the major causes of this issue. Also make sure you have the resources folder installed as well, though this typically will give a warning, it could contribute to it. The last thing to check is your minecraft/config folder. Go in and delete the Pixelmon.cfg file from there, as it sometimes saves incorrectly if loading the first time fails, and this can cause issues on startup.

That is actually one of the more fun features of the mod to have that in. It essentially makes up for the lack of creepers by adding hostile mobs. It isn't that hard to notice second evolution forms and avoid them since they are typically more aggressive.
Is it compatible with bukkit?? (bukkit forge......)
It is compatible with bukkit forge. The install should be what you would typically do installing Pixelmon for regular minecraft, but I prefer running off of normal .jar servers, so I'm not an expert on it, I just know that most of the public Pixelmon servers do run Bukkit.
Dug around in the google cache and found these. I am downloading now and they appear to be intact. Apologies if I'm posting incorrect versions, I'm new to the mod and these are all I can find.
Those are exactly the right files. I think there may have been a newer Resources.zip released, but the game works just fine on the version you have until the website gets back up (it just adds some improved textures and sounds in the new version).
Umm Do you have a link to the Instructions? if not, can you help me install this? I have no clue how to.. and i don't think the folders come with a installing guide
4) Using WinRAR or similar, copy all of the files from Forge into the minecraft.jar file, and ACCEPT any prompts WinRAR gives
5) Go to your .minecraft folder and copy all the files from the Pixelmon (2.2.1).zip into the folder NOTE: Do not copy it into the /mods folder, but the main .minecraft folder, as the install has some other folders it has to install, and it has the /mods folder as part of the .zip file
6) Still in the .minecraft folder, copy all the files from the Pixelmon Resources.zip folder into your main .minecraft folder.
7) Launch the game and enjoy!
And if you have any questions on how to play the game and craft items, feel free to check out my Pixelmon Youtube series (linked in my signature), as we start from scratch and cover the basics as we go.
Okay guys, sorry bout that. The site is down for now while we switch servers. During the meantime though, the downloads will be provided directly on the main page.
I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect about this mod. My friends and I enjoy it and would like to continue our adventures!
After some consideration, we decided to do a map change to one of the custom maps, but would love to bring our beloved pokemon with us, is there any way to do so?
I have tried copying the player.dat files over to our new world, but nothing seems to do it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
And if it turns out this is impossible, we will live with it!
After playing MoCreatures with Pixelmon, I discovered that any mob that hunts other mobs would attack and kill any pokemon without them being able to defend themselves.
Also, if you wanted Pixelmon, you either had to deal with mobs yourself, making your pokemon basically worthless, or not have mobs besides pokemon, meaning there was no longer any 'difficulty'.
This wasn't the case with 'Pokemobs'. So to make this mod stand out as the better of the two:
Make 1 or 3 things (or a combination)
1.
Pokemon can fight against other mobs outside of the pokemon 'battle'.
Possibly give pokemon/moves a set 'heart' damage which could be scaled by the pokemon's stats.
2.
Give each pokemon/move a set 'heart' damage so any 'aggressive' pokemon would attack you if you had no pokemon left that can fight. This gives Pixelmon difficulty again without being 'just' pokemon battles without all the cool graphics of pokemon.
3.
Make a sister-mod that would be able to set up any mob as a pokemon so that you can defend yourself with pokemon (but not catch as that would be kinda lame).
Either user-defined or pre-set (or both options).

I created a sever so that I could play with some friends, but whenever I try to join my minecraft crashes (NOT the server.) Anyone got any idea what could be causing this?
I used the same Pixelmon files and forge files for both the server and the minecraft.exe, so that shouldn't be the problem
Is there a post or video explaining how to make a server of this, is there a download or do I mod the server individually?
See my explanation of how to install the mod for a regular minecraft.jar on the previous page of comments.
Making a server is exactly the same steps, but you just download the minecraft_server.jar file from minecraft.net and use it instead of the minecraft.jar in the steps.

It is really easy to do. Just copy the /saves folder from the old server folder to the new one. Pixelmon data is stored seperately from the normal player.dat files. The player's current team is found in <playername>.pk and their computer storage is in <playername>.comp files.

Post your crash report in the thread, it makes it easier to figure out. But PLEASE, use spoiler tags (code tags) so it doesn't fill the whole page.
Actually, no need! In a way, you told me how to do it already lol I was missing the .bat file. As soon as I got that into the server files it worked without a single problem. Thanks a lot

Installation is pretty simple:
1) Download a minecraft.jar file from the minecraft site
2) Download the Pixelmon (2.2.1).zip (http://adf.ly/PSqhm or http://adfoc.us/7513724589414) and Pixelmon Resoures.zip files (http://adf.ly/QFh8X or http://adfoc.us/7513724609580)
3) Download the latest version of forge (you want the src* version) - http://files.minecraftforge.net/

By sleeping through the night or by making a Healer (look up the recipe. I know it takes a diamond and 4 aluminum plates).

You will also need to make a server_start.bat file (details on how to do it are here: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Tutorials/Setting_up_a_server#Start_the_Minecraft_server_.28.jar_version.29)
