i honestly want my pokemon to harm the wild pokemon and i want to throw my pokeball to catch it instead of "you cant catch pokemon who are battling in another battle!"
It's not very nice to volunteer, freely, for a project in which you will spend many hours, and be received whit a phrase such as "probably not qualified", I think that's what he wanted to say.
thats probably what he meant but its good i didnt take offence to it and i am qualified ive just never tried to join in helping develop a mod i didnt start myself
Whoop, messing around with More Gif's. Think i'm getting a hold of it!
Edit: hold on, i have an idea
yes, it worked! Much happier with it now.
Those look good! I like 'em!
Also, I might start working on the Eon pokemon today! I know they won't be added for a long time, but I wanted to make my first models for this mod and get them out of the way.
Why not?:/ I can make block shapes on "3ds max"? Meaning i can make pokemon animation block style?
Also got a link to that programmer? (Going to try search now)

You can't because 3ds Max, which i use also for 3D modeling, can't export in a java format that minecraft understands. However, the modeler we use for the mod, Techne, can.

has anyone else had any problem with the pokedex? I've tried the latest version of forge and the one that's listed in this thread. Everything else works great, except that the 3d models on the pokedex are really dark (almost a 3d shadow). I'm not complaining. I'm having a greaat time with this mod and this seems to be a problem that hasn't effected a lot of people. I've only seen one other comment about it on all of the forums that I've been on for this mod. But if anyone has any ideas, let me know. Is there some way that I have to discover the pokemon first, before they will display? Like in the gameboy game?

This actually has been talked about before, and I think we know what the cause is (:
Also, we'd love to have a sort of "unlockable" Pokedex. We are just focusing on other features at the moment, so that's going to be a bit of time >.< Another thing we'd love to do is a search function in the Pokedex, to make it easier for people to find what they are looking for. Just once again, it's going to take a bit of time.
how do i ride the pokemon i saw a guy on youtube ride a pokemon?
i believe it was taken out because it wasnt finished yet, could be wrong but i dont see much point in it any ways if you cant even jump or control where it goes xD

well i would like to ride on my charzard and he would fly with me on his back or ride on water pokemon and he would swim with me on his back. could you add like hm in the mod like fly, surf, rocksmash(rocksmash could break 3 by 3 blocks).
i'm still waiting for my computer untill probably at Christmas or perhaps next year,
Plus i don't even know how to make models. I'm hopeless as i just wanted to perhaps make Sneasel or Zangoose or other pokemon.
But very good mod anyway, will install immedieatly along with Millenaire when i get my computer.
Ah okay. Well, hopefully you get one soon then (:
Modeling isn't too difficult, the thing is you really have to take your time to do what you want.
Like with this Zapdos. This wasn't done in a day, it took him some time, but in the end, it turned out to be an amazing model that anyone could be proud of.
And thank you very much! I hope you have fun with the mod (:
When i launch my minecraft server with more ram, i detected in the command prompt, Problem loading move Oder Sleuth for Swinub, [INFO] [STDOUT] Problem loading move Oder Sleuth for Swinub, this is some kind of bug?

Ah, it must be a misspelling in the database, i'll take a look! Thank you!

Oh, that the the HD texture method we use >.< It's nothing special >.< Pretty much you tell a model to render at a, lets say, 64x32 texture, but the resolution you give it is 256 x128, or 4 times what it is expecting >.< It allows you to cram 4 times the detail into the same amount of space.

Thank you very much! I was thinking of replacing my signature with the bottom one actually >.<

I used it for a year or two before i saved up enough to get photoshop cs5, and i've been using that ever since. Pant.NET is a great alternative, so is Gimp.

Please?
You can't use 3ds max or any other professional modelling program, only techne

How would I do that in paint?
Paint is kinda simple... you might be better of using this: http://www.getpaint.net/
I used it for a year or two before i saved up enough to get photoshop cs5, and i've been using that ever since. Pant.NET is a great alternative, so is Gimp.
It's free right?
Yup, completely!
