Anyone care to explain why I can't run away from a level 9 vinepede with a rayquaza or an electrode both with ev's in speed?
In 2.5.7 there is a bug with held items that doesnt let you run from battles. Idk if this was fixed in 3.0 or not but if your pokemon are holding items remove them and see if that works.
Whenever I TP or warp to any where on my server I get kicked, the server shuts down and it gives quite a few errors but it starts with [SEVERE] Encountered an unexpected exception NullPointerExceptio

HOW DO I FIX THIS PROBLEM? The pixelmon popup things are white and some pixelmon are white [Check the spoiler if you don't know what I mean]. This is really annoying, how do I fix it?

Reinstalling Pixelmon 2.5.7 into a clean Minecraft does not fix the problem
Updating Pixelmon to 3.0 also does not fix the problem.
New saves work flawlessly.
Note: I have attempted to reinstall Pixelmon 2.5.7 and tried 3.0, but nothing works.
Any sugesstions?

It seems like they released 3.0 a tad bit early. There seem to be a lot of bugs with the release. I would recommend just playing on 2.5.7 until a fix update comes out

There'll be a fix in a couple of days. We have found 2 crash bugs since release which are being fixed. There are also a few other tweaks that are coming out. Seems that even with 50 beta testers working hard you can't catch everything. We do our best
The reason NEI works with galacticraft and TConstruct, as another example, is because those mods make tabs in the inventory instead of modifying the vanilla inventory, like Pixelmon does, adding the Pokemon to the side of the inventory. I don't know if the creator of NEI simply can't make it dynamic to change the dimensions of the buttons etc. to make them fit with the edited inventories or what.
This is right. We modify the main inventory because we believe that the pokemon experience to pixelmon is core to the mod and moving it to a tab would impact heavily on people's use of the mod.

Mr.M By no means do I mean to offend or say you guys didn't create an amazing mod. Just like you said some things just fell through the crack. Please if you could address the random crash a server gets when you tp to a place that has had unloaded chunks so pretty much tp anywhere there aren't already people in. Thats the crash error I keep getting, every time I warp or tp the server crashes. Thank you so much for this great mod, you really made my childhood dream a reality lol.
Er... I've been trying to get this mod to work for quite a while, and each time I try to play it it stays on the "This is a fan made mod, etc. etc." screen and does not give me the option to choose a starter. I end up having to end MC in task manager.
Now, I have the latest forge and pixelmon, and I tried to log in to a server to see if a server connection would miraculously fix the issue. Hey, at least that gave me a crash report to give to you all!

Is anyone else unable to evolve any of the new Pokémon in update 3.0 that don't evolve by leveling up. Like Gligar, Yanma, Gloom, Swadloon, and Golbat? Also I noticed that the Dusk Stone isn't in so Lampent can't evolve to Chandelure. I haven't been able to test the trade evolutions yet but if anyone can let me know if there is a way to fix this or if I'm to only one with this problem I'd really appreciate it. wait so you mean that in order to make this mod more enjoyable, you must make it incompatible with a very useful one? please just change it to a tab or something, I really don't think it would make so much of an impact, I love both mods and will keep playing them. But maybe you should cast a voting poll, giving the reason WHY not just "do you want it to become a tab or not?" more like "if we kept it this way, it would remain incompatible with mods such as "..." in the other hand you might less appreciate the experience". kind of thing, if the majority wins then at least a great size of your fans will stay happy and the other will probably still play your mod. Anyone likes this idea?

hey mr masochism, i have a question, would it be possible to change the outfits of the battle npcs? some of the outfits are quite ugly it would be amazing to have an option to add ur own ones, so adventure servers could be mor einteresting.

That is planned. The idea we had was to make it so you can put in a username and it will make a trainer with that player's skin. There's no way we can set it up so the server will send the textures down to the client so we figured that would be the best approach.

The fix for that is done and is being tested. It will be released in a patch which will contain a number of other fixes. Some people are finding that if they play with a save file that is older than 2.5 (and hadn't been played on 2.5 or a pokemon has been left in the pc since then) then it will crash when the pc is opened. That is being fixed as well.

Yes we do. And it's not just 'enjoyable', it's to make this mod functional. Thankfully there are other mods out there that replicate the functionality of NEI without being so obstructive in the way they go about it. NEI could very easily make a second screen that NEI pops up rather than taking control of the inventory entirely. I also do spend hours talking to people playing the mod and servers running the mod and the consensus is that the inventory is better the way it is and far more usable

Trade evolutions work as far as I have tested them and we had no beta tester reports about them not working

I tried increasing the memory on the Java settings and lowering the video settings, but it still doesn't work properly. Also, some Pokémon and trainer textures are missing or corrupted. My computer is a high-end 1-year-old Lenovo gaming desktop, so I don't think it is a problem on my end (although it could be).

Did you delete your pixelmon.cfg when you installed (if you upgraded from a previous version)?

If I make a new world, Pixelmon works just fine, so the problem is only concerning my main world.
Because my pokes were gone from that save, I went into my saves folder->into the world folder->pokemon folder-> and here, there were four files for a User.comp, User.comptemp, User.pk, and User.pktemp. My User.pk file was empty, but my User.pktemp file had information regarding the pokemon that were in my team. Copy and pasting, didn't help, and only made a crash report.
Any sugesstions? If anyone could contribute it'd be great. I don't think an update will at all help.

I also do spend hours talking to people playing the mod and servers running the mod and the consensus is that the inventory is better the way it is and far more usable
Trade evolutions work as far as I have tested them and we had no beta tester reports about them not working
Did you delete your pixelmon.cfg when you installed (if you upgraded from a previous version)?
Nevermind, I managed to get it on another computer and emailed it to myself.
Well, I did it with Forge 435 so I assume it would work.
Now my game freezes if I try to exit the PC, or attempt to scroll in my team. I cannot use pixelmon, catch them, or have any in my team.
Additional Notes:
My Pokemon are still in the PC
My items remain intact, I can sleep, and etc. but new pokemon caught are not sent to the PC, and I cannot use pokemon.
Reinstalling Pixelmon 2.5.7 into a clean Minecraft does not fix the problem
Updating Pixelmon to 3.0 also does not fix the problem.
If I make a new world, Pixelmon works just fine, so the problem is only concerning my main world.
Because my pokes were gone from that save, I went into my saves folder->into the world folder->pokemon folder-> and here, there were four files for a User.comp, User.comptemp, User.pk, and User.pktemp. My User.pk file was empty, but my User.pktemp file had information regarding the pokemon that were in my team. Copy and pasting, didn't help, and only made a crash report.
Any sugesstions? If anyone could contribute it'd be great. I don't think an update will at all help.
