I wanted to find out what kind of license governs Robinton's 4096 source and if he would be open in my hosting a github project to invite collaboration?
@JohnMosuela: I don't know, but my guess is that you don't really need to, if you just want to make a 'normal' mod. Use the normal Modloader/Forge block registering methods (and don't hardcode your ID's or '256' somewhere), then it should work.
@newguys202020: One of your IC-items has a too-high ID. Go to .minecraft/config and find the .cfg file named 'IC2'. Change all the numbers that are above 27.000 to something between 5000 and 27.000. This will break your save.
@cubby989:
1. Install Mdyio's 4096 ID fix Version 4.2 (the Beta version from his thread, right up the top).
2. Install IDResolver
3. Done! It should work.
I'll be unavailable for comments the coming week (Exam trip to London)

You're right. I need to add this license:
/*
** 2012 June 5
**
** The author disclaims copyright to this source code. In place of
** a legal notice, here is a blessing:
**
** May you do good and not evil.
** May you find forgiveness for yourself and forgive others.
** May you share freely, never taking more than you give.
**/
Really, I might want to add on something about that letting me invent more things, while still letting things I've already invented get updated...

Yeah, after asking and looking, I come upon the new version for idresolver that supports mDiyo's fix...
Too bad his fix is incompatible with the newer forge versions (~115+) because pb.class was updated again.
I'm back from my exam trip to London (had fun, enough said). I'll start on working the Tech-support again.
@newguys202020: Change everything to below 27.000. Everything higher causes problems, including 29.000. There is (for as far as I know) no working Aether version for 1.2.5, so installing it won't work.
@miguelseara: Drop it into the minecraft.jar located into .minecraft/bin. Then you're done. I don't have Teamviewer, I can't help you there.
@newguys202020: Robinton's 4096 is designed to go with IDResolver (or the other way around). That means you've installed something wrong, or some other mod is incompatible with either 4096 IDs or IDResolver. Try removing the 'arrows' mod, and see if that helps.
@JohnMosuela: No, there is as far as I know no easy fix for the fire-icon-in-NEI-problem. Try posting it in the NEI-thread.
@miguelseara: You've installed Forge wrong and/or the wrong version.
@Darkhog: Your solution doesn't work because there is actually no ID in the configs that is 33945. The problem is that Robinton's mod adds 4096 to every item ID. Industrialcraft normally allocated its ID's to 29000 or higher. With Robinton's mod that gives 29000 + 4096 > 32000. The things you need to change (Manually, my tech support doesn't support anything else) are EVERY ID above the 27.000 to something underneath that. Since IC gives the most problems, I suggest you start changing that one.
@JohnMosuela: Try and not code:
public static final Block XXX = new XXX(FIXED NUMBER,0)
or anything of the sort. Change the 'fixed number' to something changeable in the config file (Can't help you there, I have only very little experience in modding.)
@Shinfirumaru: No. 'no more sprite indices left' means you have too many Modloader-only mods installed. Try installing Forge mods, they use no sprites.
@ocorune: Drop TMI and change to NEI. This means no more game crashes, some of the blocks (the not-wholly-square ones) will still be fire. Clicking on them will still crash your game, but all other (normal) block will be obtainable by NEI. The fire'd blocks can still be obtained by crafting them normally (or from the creative inventory).
@Hasanrocks2134: Can't help you without an error report, or a very detailed description of what you have done or are trying to do.
@Doskan: Yes, any forge version higher than .108 doesn't work. (3.2.3). The pb.class needs to be re-merged (and you still need to use LeonBlade's fix for Forge .108).

Try to just install forge first, then this if it is needed.
