Introduction
Before I go any further, I would like to get a couple things straight. This mod is in early development, so I realize it isn't perfect. What I don't realize, is what is wrong with it. I am only 15, and I only have a beginners knowledge of java, so don't expect anything too great. I would appreciate your feedback not only on bugs, but on future ideas for the mod. Also, I could always use some help with advertising the mod. This includes making youtube videos, which I would be happy to post on the forum. Also, this mod makes use of an external jar, JLayer, not created by me. However, I did edit JLayer a bit, so, while I take no credit for the creation of JLayer, the errors associated with it are probably my fault. Also, I do not take credit for modloader, although I edited that slightly also. Finally, I would like to thank those who help support this mod, including Willispr0, Rinsed, and luclin.

I noticed that there were no mods that allowed you to listen to your own music while playing minecraft without having to first convert it to the .ogg format, which is not very convenient. Please note that it will only play .mp3 files. All other files will not register. It's fairly straight forward to use. You press a key('O' key by default) and the music player GUI comes up with all the buttons you would expect to see on your mp3 player. You can also change the GUI button under the options menu.
*New in v2-0*
In v2-0, there is a brand new volume slider(as suggested by approximately 93% of you). I know many of you wanted this, so I made this just for you guys even though it included editing the JLayer jar. Also in this version, the mod was recoded to make it compatible with any mod that is compatible with modloader. This proved a more difficult task, and I ended up having to edit the ModLoader.class to get it to work(This is the reason you must drag in modloader class files before the mod's class files). I know it seems like a small update, but there was a lot of work that went into it. This update is pretty buggy right now, so help everyone out and report your bugs via comment or pm.

Additional Announcements Since this mod is just getting off the ground, I could use a bit of help. -Youtube videos are great for both me, and the youtuber, as it helps boost views. Message me if you have made a video, and I will post it on this page. -Donations really help keep this mod developing. They are obviously not mandatory, but greatly appreciated.
Make it into a two block high juke box and you sir have a win, especially if you have said jukebox be smp with a permanent copy of said songs on the jukebox's memory... like the record players, only way more badass
But wouldn`t this interfere with minecraft music ingame? like what i mean is that your playing one of your songs and minecrafts songs come up and ruin the track
I already know a reason off the bat why its not being hit up by more people, the lack of SPC compatibility. It killed my SPC and me when i logged on to a creeper strike. Maybe you should seek out modders who have been at it for a while. One i can suggest is Grim, who is currently working to update ancient mods. because i know of many players who would like this, but also like the abilities of SPC. I personally love this mod, and dig listening to The Silent Comedy while exploring ruins.
This mod is truly amazing, unique, and awesome! I was going to do a video on it, but I could not get the song to play, or no sound was coming out. I made sure the music were in .mp3 format, and I even tried reinstalling the class file, but nothing has worked yet. I am sure it is a little fluke on my part, but do you have any advice you could give? I would really love doing a video on this.

Thanks for the idea! I will be completely recoding it soon so some important classes are not overwritten which will add compatibility for any mods hopefully.
Ok Well, I followed the instructions but when I ran minecraft, I got an infintie black screen. I DELETED META.INF AND HAVE CHECKED TWICE. What seems to be the problem?

I agree. Wonder why nobody wants to play their own music.
I don't know why you are having that problem. It seems to be working fine for me. Is anyone else having this problem?
now if i could just get minecraft working decently on this new computer... no clue what the problem is...
Yeah I get the same problem

P.S. Add a volume control if you can plz.
thanks for the info! I will be working on the name bug in a bit. Also, the volume control will most likely be appearing in v2-0
If you can't tell, I'm a big apple fan

Keep the input coming guys, I love it!
Can you make it so.... you can craft music discs and burn the songs onto them so you can play them through a jukebox and give them to other players?
And maybe something like where you can link the song to pressure plates or something that make them play when stepped on?
Also, the readme in the .zip is difficult to read. Try spacing out the steps...
