well right now, since this mod has over 250 item ids. (most of the components are actually 1 item). each item hasn't got it's own ID.
The crash is due to 2 item ids being exact. the issue you have is an item id and a block id is the same.
basically. change the redstone engine id. if it crashes, try another number.

ok So chang it in the config file right? And IF it craches try anither number OK! TY! I'm not a noob when adding mods but ive never had to change ids thats about all ive never changed. Gotten many many many mod packs to work together(Before forge made it easy Im talking)Are you the mod creator. If so WELL DONE!!!!!!!!
there's more to it, i suppose people bugging caused it to update prematurely
Well Some good news. I've got a system that allows deletion of vanilla recipes. (right now i've changed crafting for sticks to make plank items from plank blocks, then sticks from plank items) But there might just be a Hardcore option added soon. This will mean you can not craft tools on a crafting table(maybe even make crafting tables harder to get) Meaning you would have to live as a caveman before getting to work
yeh that's already been noticed. something i found out weeks ago,
on a stressing matter. i've just looked at the 1.5 updating. and noticed a little thing they made to make our lives much harder. (i'm hoping there's a way around it cause im not wasting 30 hours updating this)

going dow nthe terrafirma craft rout? That might be cool for my single player world/ XD
well i was going to replace both wood and stone tools with primitive tools, by using vines or muscle ligaments(from animals) mixed with sticks and sharp rocks, or shards of copper(used when a primitive stone tool is used on copper) Though id prefer to find a unique way on implementing. to keep it original.
*and I can't see a way to disable tree punching either
as for updating, i'll keep it on 1.4.7 for now. im really sure there will soon be a feature added to make updating less time consuming
Hey AP, I'm baaaaack! Finally have a computer set up after hopping around the States for a couple months. I probably have a bunch of forum pages to read to see catch up on everything, just wanted to drop a line and say hey.
Good luck with the mod, man. Haven't even had the time yet to see what's up with the 1.5 update, so I'm curious what this "little thing" you mentioned is all about.
you know that icon thing.... it replaces the .png cards. meaning id have to make 400 so items and 100 blocks(each side) of individual images. also rewrite a few render files to support that(2 handed weapons, weapon rack, totem, tanning rack) to account for it. and the system itself is the messiest thing in game history
i can see it causing controversy and would likely be removed or optional in a later update. (not that automated redstone stuff really fits this game play im sure pain in the **** spammers wont give a damn)
*thats how it is with updating, even if people dont want the new stuff, they just want an update just so they have it, not caring about what has to be done to do it.
That sounds annoying. Is this new... "feature..." for items and blocks supposed to be part of what purportedly makes 1.5 a more efficient version of MC? Haven't done my digging yet, I'm just catching here and there that 1.5 is supposed to be less taxing than older versions.
EDIT: So... Have you made an ignotumite dog bowl yet?!
well when it comes to big mods, it's practically a road block for patience testing. The problem is most mods of this size have a whole team of assisting modders that would help with such(lots of them do texturing, porting, all that sort of thing) since im a lone wolf with this, it's much more annoying when it comes to updating.
Ignotumite has a high toxicity, unless you want your hounds to die a gruesome death, it wont be smart to have a bowl made of it.
Mmm, sounds like it'd be a good bowl for a death hound then, and I suppose a dragonforge steel bowl would be good for a hell hound, and a mithril bowl for a holy hound... Don't worry, I'm not making a request that you add those, just looking back on when you had hoped to have a fun process of getting light/dark special hound versions.
Best of luck with the nuisance man, hopefully you can chop away at it little by little where it doesn't get TOO annoying.
I see you have some interesting new changes to your mod, gonna have to try to check them out sooner than later once I can get an instance running!
yeh, i have that feeling that the old systems will return in some way, meaning for all the buggers who updated would find a better alternative will be out soon
Well one really sweet thing is it allows us to customize textures for all of the mods we use so we can make them all mesh. Sounds like a pain to implement though oh well i will be sticking with 1.4.7 for some time anyways
well how's that different from normal, it simply messes everything up for a feature 1 in 500 people would actually use. but the end result; the textures would look out of place anyway(because their not the same resolution or context)

if i get onto it, sometime today. (it's not good to ask when someone will update)
give it a few weeks....we all know three will be at least four or five numbers added to the end of this release before it's stable.
