So far, I've noticed that the toggle isn't available and I've fallen a couple times already by walking off cliffs expecting toggle sneak.
I also have the AutoSwitch mod and for whatever reason, it's not switching to the pickaxe on my hotbar automatically to mine blocks. It flashes over but instantly goes back when pulling the trigger. Joypad mod seems to be sending the +attack input in an odd way and it won't allow me to add the mouse buttons as a custom key.
Anyways, a couple things I'd like from the mod that I somehow missed earlier:
- Hold/Tap Button Binding. This is a typical way of doubling up on buttons. For example, tapping start would open the menu as normal, and hold start could be bound to the player list.
- GUI Keyboard. This could open a container-like GUI (would be really effective with GUI snapping) as typical on a console when prompted to enter text. I'm not sure how hard it would be to do, but definitely something to look into (assuming you haven't already).
Thanks for finding the toggle bug. I updated with a fix for that.
If you didn't notice already, the circle in the control list tells the joypad mod that a particular button is a toggle.
Has autoswitch worked in earlier versions of this mod? I don't know what is going on there but it is worth looking into.
The gui keyboard is something I've thought about but thats as far as I've got. This is a non-trivial addition. Something easier might be a letter wheel but I don't know how effective this would be. It might at least allow you to clumsily enter a couple letters in the search.
Advanced button bindings like you describe are nice to have features that will be put on a list of possible future enhancements.

No, I don't really recall AutoSwitch working in past versions. It's not TOO important I guess but it just seems to send +attack in an odd way. The normal behavior is to sutomatically and temporarily swap to a pickaxe in your hotbar when you mine a stone-based block and it resets to the original hotbar slot after releasing the button. What this does in the same circumstance is attempt to swap to the pickaxe and then instantly swap back and keep mining with the first thing you were holding (or your fists).
And for the keyboard input, I think the way Valve did it with Steam's Big Picture mode is really fluent and nice. Again, I'm not too sure how hard this would be to implement, but the Daisy Wheel is pretty nice for controller-based keyboard input.

There was a priority issue in Joypad mod that was affecting the Autoswitch mod (and potentially other mods that do similar things). Cool mod btw. I've updated the 1.7.2 version.
1.6.4 isn't as trivial an update so will probably skip it.
When using the not enough items mod, assigning a button for the usage and recpies doesn't seem to work.
Also is there a way to remove toggle for certain things for example flying in creative? Because using toggle for shift key makes it hard to go down.
What version of the NEI mod + joypad mod are you using?
There is no way (at present) to have the button only toggle based on what you are doing. Your choices in this instance are:
1) Remove the toggle from sneak.
2) Use "jump twice" to get down when flying ( i actually prefer this ).
3) Create a new user key "Shift". Then bind to an unused button on your controller ( and make sure it isn't set to toggle ) and use that button for getting down when flying.
Ok, NEI reads keys during the menu phase of the game. I hadn't considered this possibility but you can get it to work if you make one small change in the .cfg file.
So, I assume you've added the "R" key and attached it to something on your controller.
Now, close Minecraft and open .minecraft\config\JoypadSplitscreenMod.cfg
Scroll to the section:

# -UserBindings-

And find your key binding which should look something like:
S:user.0=R,{R},POV,1,-0.9,0.0,GAME_BINDING,REPEAT_IF_HELD,RENDER_TICK
Change GAME_BINDING to MENU_BINDING. So it should now look something like:
S:user.0=R,{R},POV,1,-0.9,0.0,MENU_BINDING,REPEAT_IF_HELD,RENDER_TICK
Save and reload Minecraft, and now it should work.
Thanks for this. I will consider making this type of option more accessible in future versions.

Hi I have used this mod for a long time but since a month or so ago it stopped working by that i mean that when ever I want to play with someone on LAN with or with out mods it just sends the user using the joypad to the pause menu until the keyboard and mouse user clicks the back to game pausing heir game and then when the keyboard and mouse user goes to switch to their screen the joypad screen pauses again. If you can help me pm me at [email protected]

There is a known issue with liteloader and Joypad mod. If a mod that needs the lwjgl is loaded by liteloader prior to the Joypad mod then the joypad mod can't get a handle to the joysticks. It looks like forestry mod uses the lwjgl for something but I can't imagine what. I
f you want to play with liteloader+forestry+joypad mod, you can fool liteloader to load forestry mod after joypad mod by renaming the forestry mod to something like zforestry-2.4.0.0-711.jar. They should all work together after this.

Thanks for the update Scotty!
Mod does not work with Forestry, but I don't know what Forestry would have done. With Forestry installed, the mod will not detect controllers.
Not really your problem, but just thought I'd let everyone know.
Checkout Forestry at: http://player.to/forestry/
I just tried it out with joypad .0952 (& experimental) + forestry. They seem to work together.
Was on 1.7.2 Forge 10.12.1.1060 + Win7
Are you sure it is forestry that is giving you trouble?
Okay, your comment made me wonder. So I tested each mod individually, and determined that:
Joypad + Forestry = okay
Joypad + Liteloader = okay
Joypad + Liteloader + Forestry = controllers not being detected
I am guess that this is a Liteloader issue. Check it out (I used the FML to load Liteloader)
