It's not smp compatible right now, but it will be about three weeks from now. By the way, calc, the manual says that a nuclear blast can destroy obsidian, whilst in minecraft it cant. Also there are a number of spelling mistakes in the manual, such as telsa instead of tesla.
Hey, CAL, what about we make this mod true to the name? ICBM's are missiles which carry MIRVS (warheads that can be set to target different locations), this is my idea:
- A BIG expensive launcher, control, and tower. It IS worth it.
-The missile wouldnt be a "item", (or maybe yes, but im not certain), but you would craft its parts separately, first 3 propellers, fuel chamber, main body. The launcher has a function wich we can use to get a little higher of the missile after you load the main body. there would be 6 slots, each marked with a number, where you would insert normal warheads. then finish the missile with the missile tip.
You select the target, and define how much block of distance when the missile "splits", and if you want, a individual target for each warhead. Fire away.
To counter this, we would have a speacial ABM launcher, wich can be connected to the radar, and fire long range ABM's in the direction of the ICBM, but beware! This missile would only be effective against ICBM, not common targets (ence, if you split the missile soon, it will be invulnerable against Long range ABM, but vulnerable vs standard ABM, split to late, and its more vulnerable to long range ABM). The ICBM would be invulnerable vs common ABM, and would have a scale like: 1 hit = - acc 2 hit- no splitting 3 hit- destroyed.
As a alternative, ICBM could be set to fire at the position where the radar detected a ICBM launcher (cold war deterrance Kill it, and you die along with it.
This idea will probably get refused, but hei, no hurt trying isnt it ?
If you're looking for multi-warhead, you will like the cluster missile that is coming out. You can't really make such high precision stuff in Minecraft without breaking and overc omplexing the game. I'm trying to find a compensation.
hello there, some problem witn anti-ballistic missile. it don't explode when it intercept another missile (instead it keep moving slowly on the ground) and the Radar keep send redstone signal + alarm.
there also an bug with Universal Electricity v0.4.5
sometime the launcher is stuck at 14.9KW

So, if we WERE to make this mod true to its name, we'd need to somehow be able to target any sort of installation thousands of chunks away. Not exactly a memory-friendly idea.

This is Minecraft. We can try to be as realistic as possible but we have to keep ourselves in Minecraft circumstances. If this is BF3, then I could do something like that but it's not.
hey calclavia. i had some questions. 1. can we make the missiles and the launchers bigger for added realisim. 2. anti ship missiles along with torpedos, 3 if we can make some way to have a radar or satalite station be able to sned some sort of signal if they are far away.
4. i would like if you could make a missile launcher for the abm modeled after the nike hurcules system. 5. possibly some air raid sirens.
6 lastly i would like to see ground penatrate options for the missiles.
but of all ideas 1. would be the most needed make everything bigger. thank you.
also i think landmines and anti satalite weapons would be nice. and maybe a chance for missiles them selves to blow up. or have a faliure of some sort too for added realisim.
also if you need a beta tester i am free and would like to help. so yeah also offering services to beta test icbm mod for free.

guto 8797's idea was really good. just sayin
one last thing maybe haveing to fuel the weapons ( missiles,torpedos,abms,ect) with rocket fuel. and maybe building some rocket fuel tanks, and you need to build some things to jam satalites and radar with just sayin. so i am finally done with my post sorry it is so long i have a crap load of ideas. any way see ya.

A lot of these you mentioned are already planned. E.g Torpedos. Breaching Missiles and etc.
Not worth the amount of work it takes me AND my modeler to do that... Imagine the wings in your head.

and also, is till encounter that 'not aligned support rail' graphic bug even if i save properly. i use tier 3 launch pad and a tier 1 support rail when that happend, it even happend on tier 2 support rail though.
yeah, i sort of meant that way. because in the past i kinda edited a strategy game called C&C generals and created a so called 'cruise missile strike' there. so when i read the cruise missile i always thought of that way. XD but well i understand it's just mincraft's capability limitation so it's difficult to make it happen.
That is a Short Range Cruise Missile launched from a bomber (possibly.) It goes at high supersonic, low altitude and over tight defenses. I knew that B-52s, B-1s and B-2s can carry those babies and can strike near a 1000nm radius. It can be loaded with nuclear and conventional warheads.
That's by the USAF by the way. You see that logo on near the tailfin engine? Yes, that's the USAF's logo.
