Here is a very small video in which I show these 2 simple mods:
I got myself an idea for a second addition and here it is!
This small mod adds more spider jockeys to the game. Creepers, Endermen, Zombies and Skeleton can mount spiders. It also makes Cave Spider Jockeys possible to appear. Spiders and Cave Spiders check the surroundings for mobs and then a random chance will decide if they get mounted by that mob. The chance is higher than normall so expect to see some.
The spider listens to the mob. So when the mobs wants to attack the player, the spider listens. Meaning that creeper spider jockeys can still attack you in day time.
When a spider is mounted by a ZombiePigman, the spider is immune to fire damage (however....it won't happen that often )
When a spider is mounted by a skeleton or zombie, it will look for cover in daylight.
Screenshot:
This mod overwrites cy.class and optionally cm.class meaning that it changes the spider and cave spider. If you have a mod that also changes the spider or/and cave spider and want it to work with this. Just pm me the mod and I will try to make a merge.
Update v1.1:
Slimes now also have the ability to mount spiders! When a slime mounts a spider, they will hop around instead of walking xD Just like a slime! Note: Modded slimes need to extend EntitySlime in order to mount spiders.
Update v2.0:
Updated to MC 1.3.1.
Bugs:
- Bear in mind that all worlds are SMP now so mounted mobs can get a little spazzy sometimes.
- When you reload a world, mounted mobs will not be saved but dismount their spider. This will cause them to be stuck halfway in the floor.
Installation: Unzip and copy the cy.class (and OPTIONALLY cm.class <- This just changes the mounted offset of CaveSpiders) inside the folder directly to the root folder of your minecraft.jar.
This new addition is called Enderman Mob Lifter and it does exactly what you think it does. It makes Enderman have a good chance of actually grabbing a mob and lifting it with them. That's how they make friends However if you dare to hurt either him or his friend, he will rage and try to kill you with his teleport attacks. If you are unlucky enough to have one holding a creeper.... good luck! Enjoy the mod!
This mod overwrites avw.class and no.class meaning that it changes enderman and its Render file. If you have a mod that also changes this and want it to work with this. Just pm me the mod and I will try to make a merge.

Glitch or Fun Feature?:
- Although not very likely to happen: In combination with Improved Spider Jockeys it will tower mobs. Not sure but this might cause lag/crashes. I haven't got any so far though.
Installation: Unzip and copy the avw.class and no.class inside the folder directly to the root folder of your minecraft.jar.
I was playing some vanilla Minecraft the other day and I really enjoy it. But some things are missing for me... Like: I tame an ocelot and I want a specific cat which I don't get and I would even rather have more species in there! So that's one of the things, but there are more that will be released in the future. So my first addition to this page is: More Cat Species.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This small mod adds 11 more cat species to Minecraft, making it a totall of 13 species. 2 of them are kinda weird though Oh and apparently cats react in a weird way on Nether Wart. Just feed them some nether wart and they will switch to a different (random) cat species.
Here is an image of the species. I am not a proffesionall texturer so I kinda did it the Notch way :3.
Want more species? Just request it. Don't like a texture? Change it and send it to me.
Update v1.1: You can now heal your cat to full health with a cooked fish.
Some cats now have benefits/ funny features! I will try to come up with benefits/ features for every cat soon. Black Cat (the entirely black one)
This black cat loves all evil! It starts making it's "purr" sound when a mob is nearby. Good Alarm! They emit smoke particles for the evil effect. Tiger Cat
This cat loves to attack any nearby sheep! Just like wolves. They attack mobs that attack their owner and are stronger than ocelots, but watch out, their health isnt higher!! Red Cat
These are now immuun to fire....dunno why Ocicat
The ocelot cat attacks nearby chickens just like wild ones! They attack mobs that attack their owner but are just as weak a ocelots....so watch out. Pink Cat
These cats SPARKLE! They attack mobs that attack their owner and are stronger than ocelots. They also have somewhat more health. Nyan Cat
This special cat actually plays the "cat" music record when right-clicked. The only way to stop the music is by listening it to the end. Music notes particles spawn around this cat :3 They have double health! NetherCat (new cat species!!)
This cat spawns fire particles around it. They attack mobs that attack their owner and are way stronger than an ocelot. They also have double health! Best cat so far!
Bug: When cycling through species, some benefits aren't reset untill reload. Meaning that if you went from a NetherCat to a Nyan Cat, the Nyan Cat will still attack mobs! So always reload when you have the cat you want!
This mod overwrites uo.class meaning that it changes the ocelot. If you have a mod that also changes the ocelot and want it to work with this. Just pm me the mod and I will try to make a merge.
Modloader isnt needed but it is compatible with it.
Installation: Unzip and copy the mob folder and uo.class directly to the root folder of your minecraft.jar.
Not convinced about it being a real mod? Check my signature. Enjoy!

BTW, does Improved spider jockeys works with Mo' Zombies, Elemental creepers, Special Mobs or any mod adding spiders, zombies, creepers, skeletons or zombie pigmen?
As i can see the only thing you changed and made in the ocelot's class file is the rand int value of how the game randomly picks a texture for a cat that you just tamed and you just add a path to the textures for the new cat species so it will be randomly pick.
Am i right? (i know it's weird for me to ask but i wanna actually do java code modding for minecraft when i got older so i wanna know what i can know right now)
I'm really liking the idea of more spider jockeys :D. I was recently thinking of making a mod that allows the player to ride a spider, but now that you made this, they would be incompatible. So maybe you could implement the riding.
Wow great to see you making more mods. Keep up the good work, you certainly are becoming a great modder. For the more cat species i do agree with the person above, different species should have upsides and downsides. Like special abilities.

Lol, ok. It's not hard to add tameable and ridable spiders tbh.

Yeh, that's all I did. But I also added this function to be triggered when right-clicking with a NetherWart

Only mods that add spiders are a problemm. All entities (excluding Silverfish, Spiders and CaveSpiders) that extend EntityMob will mount spiders, so the elemental creepers for example should all be able to mount spiders

Does that mean modded monsters are able to mount spiders?

What mods do you know its compatible with? I might try this out.
Think I will be on here often? Haha no.
It's compatible with all mods that don't change the ocelot in any way. If someone finds a mod that changes the ocelot, please tell me.
Even better than Magicats or More Jockeys!
I want Tac Nayn!
and YAY! more variety with cats!

I have this and elemental it works. You should make slimes be able to ride them because there are alot of slime mods.
Awesome! If there is a mod that adds spiders would mobs be able to mount them?
oh and maybe villagers and golems lol
