crashed with the ML version, haven't tested the forge version.
Oh yeah, I forgot something. This mod (in 1.2.5) uses the block IDs 130-132 (will be 150-152 in the 1.3.2 version). Also, when this mod updates, it will use container IDs 8 and 9.
In the front page there stands that the mod adds 2 blocks to the creative menu, but I clearly see 3, fire, multi-purpose and recipe adder.
Yeah, that's what happens when a person (me) who doesn't like to update OPs attempts to update an OP. I'll fix it now.
Sorry I haven't been updating this mod; I've been on "vacation" for the past two days, plus there's some weird bug with getting redstone from a cauldron.
Well, the thing is, updating my mod to 1.3.2 gave a lot of bugs. While I fixed most of them, there's still this annoying bug with the multi-purpose block where the arrow displays the wrong time (and a weird graphical thing happens). On top of that, today was my first day of school, and being a junior at the school I go to means having no sleep. If you want me to release the bugged version, though, I'll do it; it's not a game-breaking bug, after all.
Suggestion: recipe adder for multi-propose block and easy way to share recipes between all your worlds (maybe option in world generating screen).
So, are you suggesting that I merge the recipe adder and multi-purpose block? There are two reasons I kept them separate. 1 For both GUIs, I was hard-pressed for space, and it was difficult to compress the features of each container into one GUI. 2 A balance issue. Letting people create whatever recipe they want is kind of tempting, and to prevent people from easily crafting a super-valuable mod item out of one dirt block, I made an expensive recipe exlusively for the recipe adder.
For the same balance reason, I probably won't add an easier way to share recipes between worlds. However, if you really want to, you could copy/paste the custom recipes folder between each world folder.
The SSP/SMP merge in Minecraft 1.3 made things very difficult for me to update this mod. Much of the code was different, and I had to check every line of code for something I had to change whenever I encountered a bug. It took a long time, and on top of that, I haven't had much time to spare. However, I eventually overcame every bug I found, and the mod is updated to Minecraft 1.3.2! (Only for the ModLoader version, though.)
beta 2.2 update notes
-Updated to Minecraft 1.3.2! (For ModLoader; the Forge version will come later.)
--The blocks added to the creative menu are in the decorations tab.
--The multi-purpose block recipe for cocoa beans has been removed.
-To make chiseled stone brick, you must now have the netherrack at the save y coordinate as the stone brick (see the spoilers for details). The makes it easier and more dangerous at the same time to harvest chiseled stone bricks.
-Bug fixes.
--Using bonemeal will grow something based on the biome of each coordinate, and not on the biome of the block clicked. (Only has a noticeable effect on biome borders.)
--The multi-purpose block should now accept fuel added by other mods.
BUG: Custom recipes do not work, and the game crashes when trying to add a recipe.
Also, beta 2.1 has over 50 downloads! To celebrate, I decided to release part 1 of the secret easter egg in the OP.
Edit: I just discovered a bug; it seems that the recipe adder is useless and crashes. I'll try to get a fix out as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it seems that I'll have to do more than just a little coding to fix it.
Beta 2.2.1 is finally here! This fixes the bug that prevents you from using the recipe adder, and also brings back the Forge-compatible version. It actually took shorter than expected to fix the bug; it's updating to Forge that took me so long to release this version.
beta 2.2.1 update notes
-Temporarily fixed the recipe adder bug. (If I ever make a server version, I will have to try a different fix.)
-The Forge version is back!
-Added a recipe for bottles o' enchanting.
Also removed the poll, because I already know what plans I have for the recipe adder now. (Keeping it in this mod and a less-restricted version in a different mod at the same time.)
Edit: Added a poll about achievements, which I have been considering recently.
I'd have to say that personally (unless you want to yourself, of course), I'd not advise making achievements. They add little to the game, serve no overall purpose (other than a short 'tutorial' for new players, who in the mod's case can read the post instead) and reset every time a mod install is changed. I'd suggest spending your time on something more useful.
Of course, if you want them yourself, then go ahead and add them, though.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. Although they can be a little fun, they are quite pointless, so I made a poll just in case people do want them.
So far, though, it doesn't seem I'll be adding them.
There isn't really anything else I'll be adding to the mod (which is the only reason I considered achievements), so if enough time with enough downloads pass without any bugs, I will release the full version.
I just thought of a resource which can be obtained (though not moved, admittedly), in vanilla, which you didn't account for: spawners. I'm not sure how/if you want to account for those, but I've not dared to destroy spawners in case I needed them (and used them to good effect) many times over my time playing minecraft. Obviously whatever method would be used would need to be expensive in terms of both resources and (a sadly forgotten concept recently) time. And with nei, I recently discovered that it is possible to have the various different types of spawner (rather than just pigs), after all.
Well, by obtainable, I meant blocks and items that you can collect (put into your inventory). That is also why this mod doesn't make cobwebs and end portals renewable. Maybe I should define that in the OP right now.
Speaking of minor changes to the OP, you have a stray apostrophe in the first sentence, in 'lets' to be precise. Lets = third person of the verb 'to let' (the one being used in this circumstance). Let's = short for let us (not that you'd use that nowadays), as in 'let's play'*. I know, it's a minor and pedantic point, but it irritates me
*Yes, I know that a lot of youtubers spell it 'lets play', but that's not how it's meant to be spelt.
Thanks for letting me know. It was actually a typo; I'm very prone to making typos, and when I type something very long or make some tiny edits, I usually don't bother double-checking.
Anyways, I'm thinking of releasing the full version of this mod sometime next week (or afterwards) whenever I have time. However, like the most recent versions, it will require me to lose a lot of sleep, so I will never have a specified release date.

Thanks for reporting the bug! It seems that when I fixed the recipe adder bug, there were some things I left accounted for, and the game crashed because the ArrayList for custom recipes was not assigned a value. (This bug would only happen in a world without a recipe adder, and if a world with a recipe adder is opened first, then the game would use the recipes from that world.) This bug should now be fixed in the full version, which I will release when I finish testing the Forge-compatible version of the mod.
The time has come... the full version of this mod is finally released! Here are the v1.0 update notes:
-Fixed several recipe adder bugs (and hopefully all of them).
-Minor bug fixes.
-Minor improvements.
-Easier to install.
-Full version!
Enjoy!
I will keep the achievements poll up, because its results are currently a tie between people who don't want achievements and people who want as many achievements as possible.
Well, I assume that one reason that this mod isn't getting as much attention is that there's simply more activity in the full mods section (whereas it was more like three hours in the WIP mods section). After this thread got moved and I posted about the update, it was off the front page in less than an hour. When you two posted just now, I suddenly had more downloads, another rep for this mod, and a lot more votes in the poll, which supports this theory. Not sure how my simple mod maker gets so many downloads without any bumps, though.
Talking about the poll, it seems that a majority wants tons of achievements. Looks like I might end up implementing them anyways...
About the download statistics...
It seems that some people have been downloading this mod without using the bitly link. While this is entirely fine, keep in mind that it will take me longer to update accurate statistics, because I don't check my mediafire account often. Also, keep in mind that this will mean the bitly statistics will always show fewer downloads than there actually are. (Or should I stop using bitly altogether? The only reason I used it was to keep track of the number of downloads.)
Also, it seems that people continue to download older versions of this mod? I have no idea how. Please keep in mind that older versions have less features and more bugs.
Well, now all the statistics are up to date, and the number of downloads for some versions has substantially increased.
The same thing applies to my Simple Mod Maker mod.
i am sorry if this error seems stupid but i keep getting this error:
