Hey kymaster.
Just thought I'd let you know that there seems to be a problem with Gammabright. It works 100% perfectly on SSP but when it comes to SMP it doesn't work at all. I don't get any gui in the top left and when I walk between different light levels I get buggy flashes.
Is there something I have to do to get it to work or is it somehow disabled server-side?

Hey,i just want to point out that it doesn't work at all in smp.....Pressing G does absolutely nothing..I don't know if it's something to do with modloader, but please, fix it,i really, really like your mod,i've gotten used to it and now it really annoys me to not be able to use it :/
Thanks for letting me know! Just got back home so I couldn't respond right away. I did a little stalking in the ModLoader thread and found out the answer to this problem. This is a bug with ModLoader in the latest version. Mods that rely on the onTick method in ModLoader, like Gammabright, are unable to call the onTick instance while in SMP, therefore stopping the mods from being able to function.
Now, with the release of Minecraft 1.6.2 set for Monday, I'm sure when ModLoader is updated again this will be fixed. However, for now you can fix this problem by loading up a singleplayer world first (in SSP, mods are still able to start like normal), then your multiplayer server.
Collect a blaze rod, nether wart, and a golden carrot. Or be lazy and download this mod.
This mod came out way before night vision potions existed, buddy...
And this mod works anywhere (SSP/SMP), easily toggles, and is useful tool for many purposes.
I just tried that, and pressing G still does nothing :/,it doesn't work with forge either....
*EDIT* Nevermind,it was actually my fault,i wasn't using a seperate modded jar in the new launcher,so it kept downloading a fresh jar each time i tried to play, and i was trying to enable gammabright when it wasn't even installed.Wow i hate the new launcher :/,okay then, sorry to bother you, thanks for your awesome mod
Glad you figured it out. I think with the new launcher it is a bit more of a pain to set up the directories for modding, but after that's done, I think it makes Minecraft modding all together easier. Being able to simply switch between different versions/modded jars is a great addition!
How can I remove the annoying GammaBright logo thing at the top left of screen? It interferes with another mod I'm using
You can change the position of the text in the config file, but in 1.6.1 it's broken (doesn't load!). Hopefully when ModLoader is released for 1.6.2 that problem will be solved. Also, once you enable the mod, you can hold shift (sneak) and hit the toggle key again and the text will hide.
Hello, just wanted to let you know that Modloader is out for 1.6.2, looking forward to downloading your amazing mod once again :D, been waiting for it since the 1.6 update
Gammabright is not working for me in 1.6.2, pressing G does nothing. No errors are logged in the console, and the arrow keys don't do anything either. Gammabright it loaded, because the option to change the key shows up in the controls GUI.

That's being caused by the same problem you quoted me on in the ModLoader thread. I'm assuming you were trying it in multiplayer. Go to a singleplayer world first (like I mentioned in the first post) and then you should be good. Hopefully this gets fixed eventually by Risugami though.

I'm not quite sure how Magic Launcher works, haven't used it myself, but I'm guessing that if you take the whole Gammabright .zip file and put it where you load all your other mods for Magic Launcher, it should work... Make sure you take the whole .zip file, not just the .class. Let me know if that works for you, I'm afraid that's all I can tell you.
Hello, I want to install this mod but I can't run 1.6 and I'm fine with that so I need help how do you "Track downloads" Thanks, Oh and the mod looks awesome.

I do my work at Bitbucket, supporting Glenn's Gases when I'm not on Steam. You can email me at "[email protected]"

Oh it is? Then my patch should fix it. I wrote a patch that fixes that bug, you can download it at http://www.minecraft...gs-in-modloader.
EDIT: Yep, it's working now!
Always has.
