i think you're using chocolate mod....which naturally disable the vanilla+FTSpecial mobs from spawning...you should enable them by using 1 block ID

Hm, interesting. I stopped using mods like Mo'Creatures and stuff a long time ago, so I never thought about how other mods would make them uncommon even at max. I could maybe remove the limit and force the game to raise the spawn rate of vanilla mobs to keep special mobs in check, along with a way to increase the spawn rate vanilla mobs by themselves.
Evil squid ability suggestion..."you can choose one...or choose them all":
1. Ink Spray...cause player blind
2. Grab the player and pull the player into the deep....maybe you can make it like crocodile bite in MoCreature...the diference is this make player out of breath
3. Electricity power....shockwave unleashed when attack....or while grabing overtime
Evil squid nature suggestion...:
1. rarely spawn in the ocean biomes
2. live in the deep layer of the water....but when rain/snow fall...it will show up on the water surface and able to grab boat
3. has slightly larger size than normal squid
4. not spawn in a large group
5. move slower than normal squid
6. drop a rare item....but not a diamond/blaze rod/ender egg i suggest....maybe you can make it droping squid egg...so player can spawn a squid on his aquariuum or zombie trap....zombie eaten by Evil squid....that is funny i think
7. hostile with every type of mobs including player
8. it will return to the sea floor when rain/snow end
9. it will be easier to escape from its grab by using shear

Nope, not the chocolate mod. Vanilla mobs work, but if theyre hostile theyre SUPER rare, the games sstill playable, but not as hard, even wiuth the special ones xD

There may or may not be multiple sea monsters. I definitely want the evil squid to be able to pull your boat down or turn it back into its item state (which will then fall to the bottom of the ocean). Ink bombs will blind for sure. I also want a separate monster as a deep-water hazard (will crawl around on the ocean floor), as well as one for deep underground in lakes and such. No sharks, though.
Edit: except maybe the shark that ate Samuel Jackson. Maybe.

i wonder if this caused by Forge version? or maybe because Jimmynator ResearchCraft...which modify aai and aif.class
so i return special mobs into previous version....and it working normal again....and lag reduced....so i am sure the problem is come from Special mobs 1.5 it also create an excessive lag....even though i set everything on properties to 1 .... still it happen heavy lag for about 3 minutes and crash

Hmm. I see the problem. It's odd that it's doing that. 1.5 should work again if you uninstall Mob Amputation. I'll have to make sure Special Mobs knows which version of Mob Amputation is being used.
Is there any way you could make it possible for utility mobs and turrets to be against the player?
I like the idea of being able to set up a gauntlet run with active turrets and evil statues. Dispensers and pressure plates just don't cut it anymore.
In the properties file, it should say _hostile=false. If you set that to _hostile=true, everything but the vanilla golems will become hostile to you. Just remember to set up everything while they're passive, because hostile mode disables your ability to interact with turrets and golems (you won't be able to upgrade or shear them).
I cant get special mobs to work with any 1.2.5 version of forge .
That's really weird! I've never had a problem with forge; I've got version 3.3.7.135 installed right now and it works fine. Currently it's incompatible with Mob Amputation (ironic, since I updated it specifically to work well with that mod).

i think 3.3.7 .135 is the problem one.......i think there is some major difference from its previous version of forge....just like invasion mod....the latest version of invasion mod are incompatible with forge below 3.3.7 135...so i refuse to install the latest mod because i decide not to update forge for further version....because some interesting mod such as Coros Zombie awareness....Sirentropy Ships and Boats....Davey Atmos mobs...etc are still in 3.1.3 105

Yeah, but like I said, that's the one I have installed. Not getting any problems on my end, and it's a bit rougher than I expected to fix the Mob Amputation thing for you guys. However, just had another idea; I'll try it out and get back to you guys!

Curse PremiumHmm. I see the problem. It's odd that it's doing that. 1.5 should work again if you uninstall Mob Amputation. I'll have to make sure Special Mobs knows which version of Mob Amputation is being used.
In the properties file, it should say _hostile=false. If you set that to _hostile=true, everything but the vanilla golems will become hostile to you.

Curse PremiumThat's really weird! I've never had a problem with forge; I've got version 3.3.7.135 installed right now and it works fine.
i think 3.3.7 .135 is the problem one.......i think there is some major difference from its previous version of forge....just like invasion mod....the latest version of invasion mod are incompatible with forge below 3.3.7 135...so i refuse to install the latest mod because i decide not to update forge for further version....because some interesting mod such as Coros Zombie awareness....Sirentropy Ships and Boats....Davey Atmos mobs...etc are still in 3.1.3 105
