Are there any examples posted anywhere for usage on the Special AI coding? I can't find much documentation anywhere aside from the wikia page, and while it talks about it, there isn't much for examples. :|
I can't imagine we'd be having this much fun without Special Mobs and Lava Monsters. Some of the best videos come out of encounters with random things. I've got not only this but Primitive Mobs and Infernal Mobs working together to keep us on our toes.
We weren't recording back when my nephew and I fought an epic battle with a skyscraper-sized Hungry Spider, but here's a smattering of encounters we did get on video:

After encounters this engaging, I don't think I ever want to go back to vanilla.

Hey guys, I'm currently working on a Skyrim book pack, i'll post it soon when its done. I'm considering making a few more packs based on my favourite rpgs like gothic 1-2 and witcher, if you would like to see a pack of any other games maybe i can make it too.
Well its a private modpack and i'm (only) using the Lost Books (1.7.10) mod from FatherToast, all i'm doing is converting the books to fit its format so they can be found in mob drops.
LOve these mods and was wondering if you are up for suggestions. I have some great ideas for mods including 15+ addons and 250+ normal mods. You seem to be an amazing coder and I am not and hoped you could help me. Please credit me I feel u make a mod from my ideas as GulpinWiz.
heyday, i'd like to attempt something with MobProperties (i've been trying but as yet no ball), i'm not even sure it's within the capabilities of the mod tho i suspect it is, just me not understanding well enough...
i'm after having a bunch of mob that appear to be items (such as roses, grass, saplings etc) that appear to be mobs and can be killed, after a certain amount of them are killed an event is triggered which teleports the player to a custom dimension where a single mob lives, that can't be killed but instead has to be escaped by running away, the mob in question would be a gargantuan named bat that throws stone blocks t the player from the roof of a cave dealing damage whilst shouting things at the player involved.
the first part (items as mobs) i see as working something like having invisible slimes wearing the items as hats, i don't know how to even get that going and certainly not a clue how to continue, all help ofc appreciated even if it's just letting me know if this sort of thing isn't possible within the confines of this mod.
@FatherToast - or does anyone know how to add modded mobs as jockeys with SpecialAI? I'm trying to add the MoCreatures Wolf to the rider list, and I haven't had any luck. I'd also like to add them to the depacify list, and then make them always agressive, since their passive at daytime.
I've tried adding them to the S:mount_list=Spider,Ghast,MoCreatures.WWolf and I'm getting nothing.
Did FT give permission/release his code to be able to have his mods updated. I know he's MIA and has been for a long time. The Utility turret mod was my absolute favorite mod. I've been trying for a long time to find something similar but I'm just not impressed by the rest.

Hello. I'm new to .json files and I saw this mod and downloaded it and wanted to know if it is possible to double the size of a wolf, make it rideable and increase the health/attack making it nearly invincible. I not sure how to code it so if someone could provide an example I would be very grateful.
Is it possible to make mobs only take damage from certain things? Let's say I wanted zombies to be immune to everything besides a golden sword, or spiders immune to everything besides a potion of harming.

YES, there are plenty of mods out there with werewolves and nets that can’t be normally hurt, and I am pretty sure that how you do it is you just make them immune to all but one type of damage, and then change a weapon to that damage type, kinda like endermen bieng hurt extra by water
I don't know if this is possible, but it should be possible to make it only harvestable by iron, golden and diamond axe by setting the tool to axe and the hardness/harvest level to uhm... redstone?
this is something that i thought i knew, having just tried this however it seems that i can set blocks to be harvested with higher levels of pickaxe but setting an axe level doesn't change anything, maybe my eye-brain-fingers have ceased successfully communication

Does anyone here know if it's possible to get attributes of an entity before it dies, and apply it to another?
Also, can we apply attributes to the zombie a villager gets converted in to?
Basically, I'd like to get the name of a villager as it dies and apply it to the zombie it becomes, if it becomes one.
That way villagers can keep their name, and the zombies they become will persist until they die.

it would be nice if these mods were updated to 1.10.2 and above. An example would be special mobs and what not.
