Is it possible to disable some of the birds? Some of them are causing me issues on one of my worlds.
^This. These birds are wonderfully crafted, and I'd love to have some of them in my world, but I already have mo' creatures installed and I don't want my world to be overcrowded with mobs everywhere. If this mod could have a config file or in game menu that let me pick and choose which mobs spawn and how many like mo creatures does, that would be amazing.
Yep! Sorry for the delay! I am currently working on updates for the newer versions with some exciting new features and new birds!! I will be skipping the 1.9 update so hopefully that doesn't upset anybody. Here are just a few screenshots from my twitter to show off what I've been up to:
New parrot model:
Updated peacock model:
More phoenix types (and egg fixes):
More flamingos!
A new and improved (hopefully glitch free) bird encylopedia!
Updates definitely will be coming! I do have to apologise immensely for such a delay with everything. It's really hard trying to update mods alongside trying to study hard for university work. I'm trying my hardest to get this out to you all though!

Wait, when you release the new version, will you have it still in 1.7.10 and 18, just just in 1.10 onward, because some of us may be disappointed if its the latter.
97% of teenagers would cry if they saw Justin Bieber on top of a tower about to jump. If your the 3% who is sitting there with popcorn screaming "DO A BACKFLIP", copy and paste this as your signature.

It will probably just be 1.7.10, 1.8.9, 1.11.2 unless I get an outcry for the other versions - but I want to make sure everything works properly before I go ahead and do that xP

You might want to make a 1.10.2 version, most modders have moved there.
Is there any chance you'll be adding any type of Geese? We really love geese and would like a chance to domesticate them in Minecraft Currently there aren't any mods out there which add geese. This makes us understandable sad. There are exotic types if that is what you prefer to have. Any type at all would be nice really.

My 1.7.10 server has seen its CPU usage gradually increase over time since world creation, until it became quite laggy. Then I removed Exotic Birds and it seems to have fixed the problem as performance is greatly increased. You mentioned there being bugs in the latest version that you are working on fixing, could this possibly be one of them? Thanks.

After more testing it really seems to be a bug with exotic birds. If i use commands on an affected world to kill all entities from the exotic birds mod (items and mobs) I get a slight performance increase but not by much. If I remove the mod though I get a massive improvement.
Putting the mod back after this does not cause problems right away however, it seems to take a very long time for the effects to be felt.
This mod most definitely needs a 1.11.2 version! I want to use it/showcase for my modded survival series on my channel. 1.10 is fine too, but I agree about skipping 1.9.

Oh gosh I'm silly. I meant to include that version. It's just the 1.9 one I'll be skipping.

Hummingbirds should only spawn in the jungle and flower forests. (and other mod tropical biome)

This is a pretty cool little mod. I will most certainly download it when it updates to 1.10. Also, if I hunt all the birds, will they respawn?
If I seem megalomaniacal, chances are I'm just kidding

I don't know if this issue exist just in 1.7.10 but you cannot land the Phoenix correctly.
It's flapping all the time and makes noises.
Could you please fix that?
